This is a reminder to all. I recently converted from FSX to P3Dv4 because of program failures when using more complex aircraft like PMDG (out of memory errors). I found out I could not just reload FSX PMDG A/C but had to re-purchase at full price. Everything went OK until I came to the PMDG 600/700 version. I opened the P3Dv4 web page and assumed the download would be P3Dv4 files. I was undoubtedly careless and did not carefully read the directions so I downloaded the FSX version assuming it was P3D. As yet PMDG has not offered to replace. The purpose of this listing is to remind us all to be careful and read the directions. Just because you opened the P3D version of the PMDG web page does not Guarantee the file you download is a P3d version. My mistake!

Thanks a lot for a nice suite of programs to enable live traffic in flightsim. However, after upgrading to AILG 4.8, PPG 9.4 and PSX 13.6, I have run into problems getting my private collection of AI aircrafts to display. PSX finally throws error 81. The FLAI package is no problem. I have finally narrowed the problem down to AI_liveries.xml generated by the AILG. Quite a bunch of my privat AI collection produce a lot of empty spaces like in this example: <livery airline="UAL" type="B788" folder="1" title="FSAI B787-9 Dreamliner United AI " /> With these empty spaces present PSX fail to generate the aircraft. If I remove the empty spaces like this: <livery airline="UAL" type="B788" folder="1" title="FSAI B787-9 Dreamliner United AI" /> Then the aircraft is generated with out problems. So, is this a problem of the AILG, PSX or the aircraft.cfg's of my privat AI collection?

Finally tried Aerowinx PSX with MSFS and it is just incredible, in my opinion. Dont have to worry at all about performance in MSFS as it is used only as scenery generator. Gary has created an very simple smooth injector that just works and also works with vPilot (freq, transponder, pressure). «Fully» integrated with Simbrief through Simfest (also developed by Gary), BACARS, etc Perhaps only limitation is weather depicted in PSX might not reflect what you see visually in MSFS, but that boils down to that CB that is painted in red on PSX wx radar But PSX downloads METAR, and NG FMC addon even SIGMETS (dont own the NG FMC yet). So all in all no big issue, for me. And yes, it does not have Virtual Cockpit, so that might be dealbreaker for someone The depth of PSX sim is astounding though. Yes, it is expensive, but when I summed all the money I spent on various MSFS add-ons it is not horrifying. Recommend it highly. Now I need to buy that NG FMC addon.

Beautiful sunset landing at PANC of a Cathay Pacific Cargo 747-400ERF. Thanks to the folks over at Simfest UK, integrating MSFS awesome visuals with Aerowinx PSX is super easy.
