  3. To anyone on the fence about whether to add this to your aircraft, this is the most awesome garmin there is! This software makes your flying experience a joy. It has terrain , aircraft charts- the true whole deal!
  4. Hi Jean-Luc, Trying to make a case for your products on A2A - you may want to reach out to them as it seems they might be working on installers now... RXP GTN 750 http://www.a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=474565#p474565 Regards, Scott
  5. RealityXP Carenado Baron B58 by Jul79_, auf Flickr Hello, As seen in the photo, there's a native RealityXP .ini in the Carenado Baron B58. I wasn't able to do it, but can anyone of you create one that also replaces the GNS430 at the bottom with a GTN650? Julius
  6. I saw a review of the Carenado C550 for Xplane11, which I have for P3DV4.4, and I decided to get it just so I could integrate RealityXP's GPS into the sim, which you can see in one of the screenshots. I love it, information at your fingertips, it adds a new sense of immersion into my flying as I enjoy Xplane11 and simming in general. I've been gradually drifting away from P3DV4 not that I do not like it, it just seems I have a broader envelope of flying I can explore in Xplane11, from a low and slow powered parachute to a single stage to orbit freeware add on I found. I won't be removing P3DV4, I have too much invested there and I do not want to lose that, but I am enjoying the expansion of my Xplane11 experience. John
  7. I just installed RealityXP into XPlane 11.31 and I have a problem with the GNS430. The outer knobs where you mouse click is not allowing to advance the Mhz value in both com and nav.(117.50 - 118.70) Also the right knob is not letting me advance the airport letters or anything else. What could be the problem? All I get is the small circular arrow and not the large one when I move the mouse to the desired location. I do not see anything in settings or advance settings unless I'm missing something. Can anyone help? I'm ready to purchase the realsimgear 430, but I would like to resolve this issue first. I can find no help from RealityXP.com. Nada. Thanks, Airman76
  8. Hi, How do I pop-up the GNS530/430 from Milviz's C310 Redux plane? I couldn't find the answer after reading the manual. I also google searched and found suggestion for editing the panel.cfg and RealityXP.GTN.ini but this didn't work for me. Ideally right clicking the screen (not the bezel) on the panel should pop-up the 2D panels and likewise right clicking on the 2D windows should close it. Also, how do I make the power/on of button on both units functional? Not sure why this doesn't work automatically and why we have to google search. I have the latest versions of the plane, RealityXP (all), and Windows 10 Pro. Thank you.
  9. Wonderful pair of airports, from Torrey Utah up to Provo, for great VFR scenery at 12,000 feet over the canyonlands and mountains of Utah... My photoscenery has autogen overlays to add depth and interest... John
  10. Enjoying my RealityXP integration into Alabeo's Cardinal for Xplane11. Flying out of Napa to Santa Rosa, a real life flight I took in my friend's rented 182, Tim Hurley, and Mike McKeowen, both pilots, back in the mid 80's. We then took off from Santa Rosa, cruised south to Point Reyes then South/Southeast over the Golden Gate Bridge, then east to Concord's Buchannan Field where we ate lunch at the Nugget Restaurant. Then we flew back home. I subsidized the flight with about $40.00 to help pay for the aircraft rental, we otherwise went Dutch on lunch. We flew quite often, every few weekends for a few years, or my friend Mike and I would ride our bicycles to Calistoga and share a glider ride (they subsequently closed down Calistoga's gliderport though it still can be flown out of in Xplane11). Calistoga's gliderport was the Napa Valley's Meigs field for gliders, many of its gliders were known for climbing to FL250 over Mt. St. Helena when the winds were just right, we would see Lenticular clouds develop and know the gliders were up there. I only went up on days where ridge lift was strong, our tow plane would release us at 2000 feet and we often climbed to near 4000 feet before the pilot would terminate the half hour ride for the next set of tourists. My last glider flight was in a two place Grob, I sat up front, and what I remember from that flight is another Grob joined us and we flew in tandem, it was so beautiful, last shot of this series is from that flight in 1987.... 13. Carenado has just updated the PC12 for Xplane11, I am flying the new update here from Reno-Stead down the Sierra crest, to Owens Valley. Views of Tahoe, Virginia City, and Mono Lake along the way. I used my overlays over my photo scenery to add some depth, and ground auto traffic. John
  14. Hi, to begin with, I am new to the RealityXP Universe. I just bought and installed the GTN 750 unter Prepar3d4.5 and my first impression on a 2D screen is very positive. Clear display, intuitive haptics and a host of possibilities - just great. My main aim was usage under VR though (WMR Acer AH101 at that time). I am mainly flying GA, notably the Alabeo C172RG, but also own the A2A C172, the Carenado C182 and a few more. I understand I can't simply integrate the RXP 750 into the 172RG ("Cutlass") panel (or can I?). Thus, I tried the popup. When I start the sim the RXP popup is shown indeed. After switching Avionics on, it does work, I can zoom the map, press buttons with the mouse etc. However, there are a couple of issues. - The GTN750 is sitting directly in front of me, which certainly isn't the optimum place for piloting a plane... I am unable to move or resize it in any way using the mouse. I know XP users have those green bars for that purpose, but what is the equivalent under Prepar3d? - The GTN750 is very blurry, way beyond the general little blurriness in 3D of the other gauges etc. I already made a search, but contrary to the GTN750 under XP where I found a number of contributions, I couldn't find anything helpful for Prepar3d. So, either it's just impossible or trivial... Thanks a lot for any helping hand, Michael
  15. Hello, I have just purchased and installed the GTN 750 from Reality XP. I am running X-Plane 11. The GTN trainer application installed well and works flawlessly. All of the functions of the GTN work in the trainer application. However, when I try to run the GTN in the default laminar C172 in X-Plane, all I get is a black screen. When I hover the mouse over the GTN, it does show that there are click spots both on the touchscreen, and on the knobs around the edges of the unit. Also, when the GTN is open in the sim, none of the buttons on the default Garmin 530/430's work. I can bring up the 2d popups, but that's it. Every other part of the plane works fine, so I have a feeling that this must be because many of the functions of the GTN are likely linked to the default GPS units. Here is what I have tried/checked: -Battery and Avionics, as well as the engine, are turned on -Radio/Panel light brightness is turned all the way up -I switched the GTN to the copilot side -I have rebooted the sim as well as my PC -I have looked at as many online forums as I could find that are related to this issue, and tried everything but still nothing. One thing that I did notice was that during the install, I was never asked for any sort of activation key or anything like that. Perhaps I have missed a step in the installation? I am very eager to get flying with this thing and I hope to resolve this issue soon. The only other thing I can think of trying is to disable the default GPS's, but I am not sure how to do that. I am an aviation enthusiast but I am not the best with computers. I appreciate any suggestions, Ryan
  16. More pics than words in this hopefully brief mini review The Legacy is my all time favorite real aircraft (bias), and thus my favorite sim aircraft (bias). I first participated in the old Realair beta for v1 and v2 of the Legacy in FSX and later P3D (bias). I then participated in this Aerobask Legacy beta in XP11 (bias - so you see lots of bias in this review lol). Plane was released a few days ago avail at Org site. I know there's a few people hesitant to get it because of the glass cockpit...but the Avidyne is very well done, and the text is very legible and smooth. I use the Reality XP GTN 750 in mine, but the default is the Laminar GNS530 (still not a bad unit at all - can be updated via navigraph). The sounds are really cool - lots of little things here and there were coded, switches, canopy, levers, alarms, beeps, engine etc...headset mode too for people that need to communicate online with ATC. It isn't pressurized but there is oxygen available. The circuit breakers are fully functional. There's maybe 8 or 10 liveries (and I've seen some users create a few more). Speed wise and perf numbers... you can easily do 240 KTAS (four miles a minute) around 8000 ft burning 12-14 gph. Engine can still perform quite well at say 17,500 for an enjoyable VFR flight with O2. If that's too fast, just pull power back to 15" of manifold, drop the rpm to 2400, and lean the mixture for 20 deg lean of peak....you'll be in the 160-180 ktas range. Speedbrakes help you slow down (real life typical engine management is decrease throttle 2" in 2 minutes), so you'll need the brakes in flight. Sometimes I abuse the engine a little too much in the sim haha. Approach and landing: 140-180 kias 5 miles out, (flaps 10 acceptable at 170 kias), gear down maybe 1-2 miles out if the pattern, or drop them earlier, and you're doing about 125-135 kias. Short final 95-100, and let the speed bleed off to 85 for touchdown. If light, check AoA but keep touchdown above 75....she'll drop like a bonanza full of doctors beyond that! For this flight I'm leaving and arriving at San Luis Obispo KSBP, heading up the coastline towards MRY (about half way there) and turning east near Paso Robles, and back for a landing at SBP. During the flight I'm maneuvering initially at 3000 msl, then 9500, then 17,500 ft. Gorgeous scenery provided by Orbx TrueEarth SoCal and GPB500 "airport pack". 17. Hi everyone, bear with me here as this is my first time using a support forum and also downloading a payware gauge. Anyways I bought the Carenado PC12 just the other day and after realizing that the default gps and fms system is quite lacking, I did some research and bought the RXP GNS 530. I thought I followed the instructions as best I could but I just cannot get the smaller, inside knobs to work. The bigger, outside ones that change pages and change part of the radio frequencies seem to work just fine but without the inside ones, the gauge is hard to use. I'd also like to note that I've seen a number of youtube videos of people using the RXP GNS530 and the cursor that shows up when hovering over the knobs seem to have a color spectrum which is not something I see in my system. I'm not a super tech savvy person so relatively specific ideas for solutions would be very much appreciated. Sorry for the long post, but thank you in advance! Gabe
  18. Hey there, I am pretty new to modding X-Plane, just made one of my first liveries...anyhow, I am just trying to figure out how to integrate the RealityXP GTN750 into the Carenado PA-31 Chieftain in the place of its GNS530. I have set up the .ini file using the information from the .ini file on the JustFlight PA28R Arrow III. I am sure that the window size and position is incorrect, but the 750 doesn't even show up anywhere on the panel; instead, it just shows up as a windowed version of the GTN750. I know that the RealityXP GTN750 communicates with the G500 in the Chieftain, as I plugged in a >-D-> waypoint and the HSI on the G500 adjusted to this. Just wondering what I am missing as far as integration into the panel. I want to replace the GNS530 in the airplane with the GTN750 if possible. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  19. Hi, This message to let you know we are working on our next XPlane and FltSim updates which are going to be offered as RC (release candidates) soon. What is addresses so far: - GNS V2 and GTN: added working IDENT mode. It overrides the NAV1/2 audio panel while active, while still permitting to change NAV1/2 audio selection in the GTN. It also work with GTN+GNS V2 on the same panel! - GNS V2: avionics bus / battery bus problem introduced in the last update. - GTN: XPDR reverting to 1200 during takeoff. - GTN FltSim: make popleft= working with the SHIFT key (left click = touchscreen, SHIFT+left click = popleft) We're also looking at way to mitigate the FltSim full screen window minimizing when opening the settings panel or the aircraft assistant. Should you think of any other thing we've missed in the list, please feel free to discuss and remind us!
  20. Working with Sean per his avsim post (and a few other customers) towards a native installer for P3D v4. In mine I've also added Reality XP GTN 750's here, and I've got a small mod to get some VC buttons working (mainly direct to and home on #1) - that's all anyone should really need. Here's just a few pics. This allows use of the GUI config app from realair (so we don't have to do txt edits to change options) and includes the dawson x64 sound gauge so all sounds work.
