  1. So I've been using SimBrief for my flight planning for a while and most of the times the correct SID is not given as an option in my aircraft (PMDG 777). So lets say hypothetically I was to fly from RCTP to VHHH, Sim brief would give me a CHALI1A departure, but my PMDG 777 FMC departure page wont have the option to select that specific departure it would have comepletely different SIDS, is it because it's outdated? I know for a fact the Sim Brief one is correct but what can I do to get that SID on my FMC? It would be appriciated if someone could help me with this, have a great day :)
  2. When I select an airport and then select the procedures tab in the information window, no SIDs are displayed only approach procedures. Is this correct or should SIDs be also detailed? I have the latest airac cycle installed in P3D v4 from FsAerodata and Navigraph. FsAerodata Folder has two sub-folders under the P3D Folder - 'PROC' and 'PROC_SIDs' both with 'scenery' sub-folders and I have 3 files in the LN database - little_navmap_.sqlite, little_navmap_compiling.sqlite-journal & little_navmap_p3dv4.sqlite. Hi, I believe that P2A may not be handling flight levels clearances correctly during CPT6C and CPT3B SIDs for EGGW Symptoms: Pilot2ATC is clearing me to FL120 at RODNI, then as I transit pass RODNI towards CPT, it then informs me to expedite a descent back to 5000'! All very confusing, especially when you try to conform to the ATC request as when I then descend I get a expedite climb to FL120! Help! The latest AIRAC 1807 iaw http://www.ead.eurocontrol.int/eadbasic/pamslight-B78C82181D2810677AC5CBEBE1E2D570/7FE5QZZF3FXUS/EN/Charts/AD/AIRAC/EG_AD_2_EGGW_6-4_en_2018-04-26.pdf does indeed show RODNI as having no Altitude Restriction, but it is part of a SID where the highest altitude is 5000' . So P2A should either clear me to a higher altiude and let me climb OR keep me at 5000' until I reach CPT where I can begin the climb out with no restrictions. Have contacted the Navigraph boys (thinking that this may be a AIRAC error but they inform me that the AIRAC update 1807 Rev 1 is correctly reflecting the AIP procedure (at EG_AD_2_EGGW_6-4_en_2018-04-26.pdf). They suggest that it is a P2A bug. Any thoughts?   4. I was just simulating a departure from Doha and stumbled upon a curiosity. The SID charts make special note to strictly adhere to level restrictions unless otherwise instructed by ATC. Since ProATC is very strict with adhering to restrictions I had to fly my simulated PATOM 1M departure from RW16L as published. Not only does that mean that it takes 20 Minutes until you are finally allowed to climb to cruise level but it also means that you fly across the city of Doha at 3000ft. Has anyone here flown out of Doha in real life as a pilot? Or does live in the area? I can't imagine that ATC will really have all those jet aircraft fly that low over the city. I mean the sea is nearby, why are departing aircraft, which are much noisier than arriving aircraft not routed over the sea to get away from noise sensitive areas? Who on earth would plot a route directly over densly populated areas? The noise abatement seems to be non existant there. I'm confused how this is possible.
  5. Hi Guys, I recently purchased the PMDG 737NGX and I have completed a few flights in it. However, on every flight, I've not been able to land the plane like I should be able to. I've been following LNAV and VNAV throughout the entire flight. My SID and STAR was entered correctly and everything appeared to be running smoothly. I was still on VNAV and LNAV when I was moments away from turning onto final. I had NAV 1 and NAV 2 armed. I engaged VOR LOC just before I turned onto final. The plane began to turn and then successfully lined up with the runway. After it had lined up I engaged APP expecting it to capture the G/S; somehow, I missed the G/S and had to descend manually. Now, I think the reason it is doing this is because I was going to fast. At the point of capturing the G/S I am normally traveling at a steady pace of 150KIAS; this time it was 220KIAS. I had speed brakes fully extended yet it made little difference. So I think the VNAV speeds are too fast and I can't slow down in time for my landing. I've been told that I should allow VNAV to bring the plane down during the initial decent but then descend at my own choice of vertical speed and my own speed input. If this is correct, how shall I slow down during my STAR. I know it's a strange issue but I'm only 14 so I don't have the broadest of knowledge for this complex aircraft. I need recommendations quite urgently if possible. Thank you.
  6. When I fly IFR in VATSIM, ATC gives me a departure procedure to fly which I haven't put in to my flight plan. My question is, how do I alter my flight plan from the GPS? I want to add extra VORs into my flight plan without restarting my flight and doing it directly from my GPS. Thanks.
  7. Flying out of KLAX I filed SID ORCKA1 It went well but it wasn't super realistic. ATC left me alone to flight the SID without issues, transfering me from tower to departure then to center. But in real life for this SID you get vectors to KLIPR. Is this how P2ATC normally works or do I have the wrong settings?
  8. Hi guys, I have installed pmdg B77W then installed Airac 1802 by Navigraph. I have done 2 different flight without any issue. But today i decided to fly to LTBS airport. I started preparing the aircraft. But when i select LTBS as destination fmc warned me that '' RWY 1 is not available'' so i looked at the arrival page of this airport and have seen that there is no rwys ,no stars and no app. procedures. So i checked '' Prepar3D v4\PMDG\SIDSTARS '' there is a file named as LTBS.txt and inside of it seemed good. What can i do to get approaches of this airport? Regards,
  9. Hi Maarten, My favourite plane to fly is the mjc Q400, which because of its unique FMC format does not take data straight from SLX. So I tend to plan my flights in SimBrief and export the data to both the Q400 and FSX. I then use SLX to make any adjustments, which are then manual programmed into the Q400 FMC. One of the main activities in SLX is to apply SID, STAR and Approach data, which, if I am correct FSX does not store in its pln files(?) Accordingly I use the flatten tool to convert all the additional info into waypoints for saving in the pln file. However I have noticed that once flattening is applied and the waypoint table updates, SLX does not highlight that a change has been made and the toolbar ribbon does not prompt for a "Save". In order to allow me to save the amended Flight Plan I have to make some sort of other change e.g. tweaking the altitude. Not a significant issue but still an nuisance. Regards, Michael
  10. I am having trouble with the Boeing 737NGX. I am trying to program the route for my check flight. When I try to select a SID, I can either select the SID, then not be able to select the transition. Or I can select the Runway to filter the SIDs, then be unable to select a SID. Can someone help me please?
