Hello fellow simmers I just made the switch from P3D v4 to v5. So far everything went great and i am amazed by the improvements. I had a lot of Addons installed on v4, especially some Texture, shader and atmospheric enhancements. With PBR on all the planes i use, tomatoshade is no longer needed (so i don't need a replacement). Reshade ist already installed and looking great. I also was a user of REX Sky- and Environment Force. As these products are no longer compatible, this leaves me with two questions that i hope to find some answers or opinions for: - I saw that Envtex ist compatible for v5. Is Envtex a compareable application to the REX products? (If not, what's the difference?). What's your opinion and what are your experiences ? Is Envtex for P3Dv5 worth it ? - in a lot of great looking P3Dv5 setups on youtube, i saw that Envtex is not used ("only" Active Sky and Reshade). That raises the question: is Envtex even needed to make P3Dv5 look better ? Thank's in advance for your answers. I wish you all a great week. Felix

A few random screenshots (completely unretouched) from today's flight between YBCG (Coolangatta) and YBCS (Cairns) and the FSLabs A320. I started the flight using the REX weather engine included in Skyforce but kept running into the .net issue. Also, from my experience from my first test (yesterday) wih Skyforce, the weather injections and redraws were painfully abrupt and jarring. Tested the same flight (LFMN to EGKK) with ASN and Skyforce and the resulting weather was much smoother during updates. For now (until the REX team sorts the issues with the built-in engine) I will be using Skyforce and ASN. Some of the CBs departing Coolangatta were quite intimidating to look at and if one combined them with the OPUS FSI camera and the FSLabs soundset for the A320 the result was not for the faint-hearted I hope these show up as this is my first time using the particular hosting site.

Hey Folks, my first image post on Avsim. While cruising somewhere over Turkey, onward to Dubai, i was greeted by the most beautiful sunrise i had ever seen. The new SF textures are truly beautiful and the sun textures really breathe new life into the SIM. I just had to post a few shots for you to see. It's nice to see REX back in the game and bringing us this great product!
