  2. A short flight in the sexy Challenger. Marine layer over LAX made for an interesting approach. I had to drop 100 ft after seeing the approach lights to get the runway! 3. I purchased this addon (boy I've been spending some money lately even with MS2020 looming LOL) just a few hours ago. I put it through its paces online at Pilot Edge, mostly doing some "first flight" work (something the test pilots at Cirrus, when I was in Duluth, would do with the first plane out of the shop - fly patterns, make sure avionics work, flight controls, power settings etc etc). Then I took her up to cruise altitude for some more airwork, checked out the included JPI engine monitor gauge (a nice piece of avionics!), worked the AP and Garmin G5 glass a little bit. After an hour or two I can say this is a lovely addon. It seriously reminds me of the old RV7/A for FSX by Danny (I think that was his name - plane still works today in P3D with a fabulous mod by @Bert Pieke ). Anyway if you love GA or even are considering it for XP, this could be your first GA purchase. There is one issue with the autopilot which I'm confident the developer will resolve (or it may be due to my XP install not sure yet) and a few minor issues which I've already posted at the dev's forum. Let's see, the addon has A LOT of configuration options....from instrument cluster, to prop type, engine type, loadout (that sounds like weapons lol, I mean a loading screen for W+B). I decided on the 260hp fuel injected engine with 2 bladed prop (for fastest cruise). I also selected the Garmin G5 instruments along with default Laminar GNS530/430. I plan to add the RealityXP GNS530/430W with crossfill soon (maybe someone will beat me to it). Addon does not include options for GTN750 or 650 but I asked at the devs forum.... who knows... Mentioned above there is a JPI engine monitor that's actually modeled pretty well...lots of functions work on it from what I can tell (though I need a manual to really understand it). I did a lot of hand flying first off....wow I love it...controls are super responsive...I believe true to an RV (never flown one) - wings are short so I imagine it could roll pretty quickly and it does so in the sim. I was fairly easy to trim out too. Flying the pattern one can easily do 140 kias or slow it way up to around 100 kias. I like to fly fast but it's very very simple to get the plane slowed down for landing. On one of my shots at the bottom you can see I was far too high on final landing KSNA, but once you level off, put the speed into the white arc, drop all the flaps, it will easily descend and slow to the threshold. I enjoy aircraft that can get down quickly if need be. Up at altitude I was cruising somewhere between 165-175 ktas at 8500, I did about 100 LOP not positive what settings I should be using (maybe I'll look at the manual more). Sounds - seem very well done. In cockpit you can don a headset and it makes most of the engine noise go away. I love when devs add that feature. External and internal seems fine to me. I didn't test different engine and prop configs yet so I'm unsure if the sounds change. Lighting is your usual setup....beacon/strobes/taxi/LL/nav - all working fine. Interior looks pretty nice with dimmable gauge backlighting and avionics backlighting. There might be a dome/cabin light but I haven't looked hard enough for it yet. Modelling appears very well done inside and out. There are some other liveries included and a few more in a free download at The Org. I picked the "just out of the garage" look haha as you can see below XP does a fairly nice job of showing off PBR and lighting. I used to fly this same sort of livery with Danny's RV7A. I had always hoped he would do a P3D native version (or that A2A would). But it's ok, we now have this beauty in XP! Hopefully dev can look into the AP (a few users have now reported something so probably not on my end). And I would definitely place this addon on your buy now list! 4. I rarely fly these kinds of things but there is a neat little experimental mod to the ASK21, containing a small electric motor. It's capable of self launching so that's what I did.
