  1. I am setting up my Stream Deck buttons for the MS Carenado Beech Model 18 (with the popular Denarq mod) in MSFS 2020. Here are some of the unusual events I have got working. Thanks to this forum and the SDK docs I have been able to create these scripts which toggle the associated controls. Cowl Flaps (L:CARVAR_cowlflap_L, Number) 0 == if{16384 (>K:COWLFLAP1_SET)} els{0 (>K:COWLFLAP1_SET)} (L:CARVAR_cowlflap_R, Number) 0 == if{16384 (>K:COWLFLAP2_SET)} els{0 (>K:COWLFLAP2_SET)} Manifold Heat (A:GENERAL ENG ANTI ICE POSITION:1, percent) 0 == if{16384 (>K:ANTI_ICE_GRADUAL_SET_ENG1)} els{0 (>K:ANTI_ICE_GRADUAL_SET_ENG1)} (A:GENERAL ENG ANTI ICE POSITION:2, percent) 0 == if{16384 (>K:ANTI_ICE_GRADUAL_SET_ENG2)} els{0 (>K:ANTI_ICE_GRADUAL_SET_ENG2)} But I am having no luck with the Oil Shutters. This appears to be the related event. But no event is revealed when I 'Watch Simulator Events' and actuate the levers in the sim. (>L:Denarq_OILSHUTTER_SET_1) (Variable shows up in Behaviors, MouseRect. Does not work in AAO.) I should be able to close the shutter by sending from the Script Editor 0 (>L:Denarq_OILSHUTTER_SET_1) (Sim does not respond.) And this is what some users of FSUIPC have gotten to work. They reported this in the Flight Simulator forum. Flight Simulator Forum L:Denarq_OILSHUTTER_SET_1 (Reported to work in FSUIPC calculator code) So my question is: Can I replicate sending this 'calculator code' in AAO? I am not familiar with FSUIPC. 2. While programming a Text definition for a Multigage on the StreamDeck I noticed there is no option for an IE: Visibility Variable in the dropdown. Will this be a possibility in the future? Thank You...
  3. Anyone using Stream Deck in v5.4? If so, how? I know there's good software out there to emulate flight sim buttons on Stream Deck, but the software only works in Xplane and MSFS.
  4. Hello, Sorry for bothering with what seems like such a basic question, but I cannot get the Stream Deck to talk to AAO and the Sim. AAO version: 2.81 b05 Stream Deck Version: 6.02.17735 Windows 11. Sim Version: Latest version, all updates done. The Stream Deck functions normally in Windows with the current software. I have the Lorby-SI AxisAndOhs plugin installed on the Stream Deck I have a simple profile installed for the C172. I have added a connection status button to this profile as well. It does not show any connection with the sim. I have checked that AAO's is running as Administrator At times I have clicked on a button in the C172 profile and the Stream Deck software stops responding. The hardware panel does not respond. This has also happened trying to add buttons from the Lorby-SI AxisAndOhs plugin. Stream Deck requires a restart. I have seen images of the AAO's software running and the Assigned Buttons section has a list of buttons after connecting to the Sim. My version shows nothing on the screen. While running AAO's if I click on the '+' to add a new Axis or add a new button, nothing happens. I have uninstalled and re-installed both Stream Deck and AAO's. I have the C++ redist installed as well as the .Net 4.8 Runtime. I have connected the AAO's software to the Sim, it returns the correct value for the Aircraft selected. I then used the 'Watch Simulator Events' and 'Watch Simulator Variables' under scripting and I can see information coming back from the Sim if I manipulate the controls and buttons manually (mouse click and joystick manipulation). The light is green and shows it is connected. I have done the 'Read HVars and BVars from MSFS' command under scripting. If I click on 'Manage Hardware Changes' I can see the Stream Deck listed as a connected device. Is there any logging area I can look at for errors between AAO's and Stream Deck and the SIM? I'm srt of at a loss right now as I think I have tried everything to get it going. Thanks in advance for any help.
  5. I have the demo version (trying before I buy (if i buy)) and im struggling with it mostly with the WebAPI port 9080 part. I cant seem to find it or figure out what causes the lack of communication between my Stream Deck Plus and MSFS. I dont see the "Enable Web API on port 9080" under tools. I have 3.00 b53 version. and the most recent stream deck software. any help will be greatly appreciated. I also use the Turtle Beach Velocity One as my yoke and throttle detent if ti helps.
  6. Once upgraded to the last versions of AAO and Stream Deck PlugIn, I noticed something wrong. Some commands start to be broken. Looking at the PlugIn fields I noticed that in the "Read Variable" field of toggle object, the variable is rewritten by the the PlugIn it self like the image linked (https://1drv.ms/u/s!AmStMhJnIz5Ci7coSaPaQKWGvwM1KQ). Nothing works after refilling the field, and the "Submit" button seems unuseful. Some of the previous toggle buttons do not work anymore. Some advices? Thanks! AAO Version: 2.26 b04 Stream Deck AAO Plugin Version: 9.02
  7. Im 99.99% sure this is user error, so forgive me for a stupid question as I'm super new. Basically I have downloaded a 32-key XL stream deck profile, but I only own the regular 15 key version. I know you can use the lorby stream deck editor to rearrange the keys and save the profile as a 15 key version, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to actually import the .streamdeckprofile file in there. anywhere where I drag and drop I get a red stop sign symbol and I cannot find an import button. Again, really stupid questions probably but any help would be greatly appreciated!
  8. Okay. Where to start... I have the Stream Deck XL and Stream Deck Plus. I am running MSFS 2020. I am using the PMGD 737-800. I downloaded the AAO Scripts and StreamDeck XL & PLUS from Guenseli (https://el.flightsim.to/file/32434/pmdg-737-aao-scripts-streamdeck-xl-profile-alpha) and followed install instructions on his page to the letter. The entire setup fired up and worked great for about ten days. Two days ago, mid flight I encountered this issues I am having for the first time. THE ISSUE: In flight, (and on the ground at least once, so it's not something to do with flight) the Stream Deck will freeze up completely. None of the buttons will respond (not even the image depress animation that you get when pressing a stream deck button). But that's not all... for some strange reason that I can't imagine how it happens, the aircraft autopilot will start to follow a random course in a random direction when the freeze happens. And twice, when this has happened, the aircraft has literally nosed strait up or strait down and the toke is visibly being "held" in a direction. I do not have any buttons or axis' mapped through AAO, I am only running the PMDG 737 buttons scripts and the "PMDG_737MSFS_Data" that was included in the above link. If I disconnect and close AAO and Stream Deck's software, I still do not have Autopilot control until I turn it off, cycle the FDs and AT and then reenable everything via mouse input. This hang/freeze can and has happened when I am not interacting with either the sim or the stream deck, so I am not directly triggering the event. The hang ups in sim DO NOT HAPPEN when I fly without using AAO/Stream Deck, so I am as sure as I can be that it has something to do with one or both of them. THINGS I HAVE TRIED: I have made sure Stream Deck is on my primary monitor. (that was a known issue regarding the stream deck itself) I have verified that there are not any firewalls interacting with either Stream deck or AAO in any way I have verified that the WebAPI port 9080 is open and reserved for AAO. I have uninstalled and reinstalled: -AAO (and all scripts from the link) by removing the application and everything related to it in %appdata% Local and Roaming -Stream Deck by doing the same as above, removing all plugins and files related to the program I have attempted to recreate the event but I haven't been able to reliably or predictably figure out the cause. I am not very sure how the scripting interacts with the sim or stream deck, but in my uneducated state, it seems that there might be some hang up in that interaction. But I have no way to know for sure (obviously). I really enjoy using AAO and the stream deck together, but I am getting really frustrated with it and at this point, I would just like to know if there is a solution or if I need to give up and go back to using my mouse to click the cockpit items.
  9. Hi My Elagato Streamdeck is not working anymore with AAO. Pressing any Fenix button on Elgato does not work with MSFS 2020 Fenix function. WebAPI Port 8090 enabled under Tools menu item. (changed to 8090 because Logitech Hub has already 9080 in use) Verified port 8090 also in file settings.js in directory c:\Users\erathost\AppData\Roaming\Elgato\StreamDeck\Plugins\com.lorbysi.aao.sdPlugin\ What else could be the issue here? After updating to V 2.81 AAO I have this problem. Using: Axis and Oh MSFS V 2.81 b05 Plugin for Streamdeck Ellgato V 16.03 Thanks for any advice.
  10. Hello, Does anyone know of a beginner level tutorial that details the exact steps of the order in how add-ons and plugins, scripts need to be done in MSFS. Right now this is extremely difficult, because each author typically only deals with their piece of the puzzle. I'm looking for a complete 'HitchHikers Guide' that will simply describe each step, what needs to be done(assume nothing), before moving on to the next piece/file/action of software or configuration (typical) to get the desired results.... MSFS2020 > Adding a Stream Deck > Installing SD Plugins (AAO specifically) > Adding SD Profiles > Importing XML scripts, etc. I've managed to achieve some of the above, but I still fail on getting simpe AP altitude and headings to show up on any buttons, for any profile! What's needed is a clear and coherent written down approach to this so that simers like me, who don't fly real planes can understand clearly what is happening and can learn without chucking it all in frustration! I can't be the only one who would benefit from something like this. If anyone knows of such a thing whether free or for fee, please post links. The sophistication of MSFS is in a software league of itself. I love the software, its capabilities - of which I'm just scratching the surface. The first thing I wanted to do, was simply jump in a 152 and fly - perhaps a bit crudely at first. Simple instruments at first and then evolve to more complex operations. Not plot a flight plan and IFR flight somewhere. There's plenty of time for that. There needs to be some, either well-done text-based material, or better done videos that non-pilots can appreciate and learn from. ************************************* A few notes to those who produce YouTube videos on many of these topics... For the love of god, please try and exercise a little more constraint with moving the mouse pointer around. Slow it down. Give people time to follow. This fatal flaw is endemic in the You Tube industry today. I'm surprised almost no authors even recognize what's happening. Feedback is good, but some people won't be honest about a video, and therefore the producer of the content never knows what and how to improve. 1) Change the color of your mouse pointer to red, blue, some bright color that stands out so viewers can easily see where you are. I was watching a video the other day on LittleNav Maps. I have never in my life seen such a busy screen and fast movements. Anyone, unfamiliar with the software wouldn't be any better off after watching the video. I probably started and stopped it at least 100 times before I quit watching. And the sad part is, this kind of video does not help the author of the software attract more users. In fact, it will likely drive them away. Simply inexcusable IMO. 2) Move slower to menu options and hover for a few seconds so viewers can see where you are and more easily follow you. Especially on the tiny icons on most software and on multiple tool bars. I know it's second nature for all of us to zip our mouse across the screen and do something. But if the viewers can't begin to know what you just did - what's the point? Most of the instructional videos I've watched are horrid, because everything is moving to fast! NO ONE CAN KEEP UP. 3) Bring whatever microphone you use closer to your mouth, and articulate clearly. 4) Lower the resolution of your screen when producing videos, so that objects are LARGER and easier to see by the viewer. 1080p is fine for most videos. Please, don't use your 4K desktop to create instructional content. It's not needed. 5) Repeat multiple step sequences a second time for clarity (on hard to follow steps) and allow the viewer to catch up. 6) Some YT videos are done well, and better than others, but many simply don't realize the pain inflicted because of speed. Go back and watch some of your own videos! Judge for yourself. 7) YouTube is a marvelous thing, and there are a lot of wanta-be producers of instructional videos that are missing the mark. Rant over.
