Hello Fellow Simmers, So Ive recently got back into FSX and I have been running into some issues with the pmdg 737ngx. The 737 itself seems to have some texturing/lag issue which also conflicts with some of the scenery addons I have installed. The whole plane just disappears when I try to change views (both mid flight and on ground) or minimise fsx which causes everything else in fsx to more or less disappear as well ( all ground objects disappearing and extremely blurry ground textures). Now this doesnt happen all the time but its frustrating when it does, I am basically stuck in cockpit and unable to admire the aircraft from the outside. I would love to buy more scenery addons but this issue is putting me off atm. I have other aircraft addons but they dont have any real issues with texutres (PMDG 777, CS757 and TBM850). My graphics settings in fsx are set pretty high on the recommendation of REX etc. Addons: -Active Sky 2016 -Rex 4 Texture direct with soft clouds -Chase Plane -GSX -ORBX YMML V3 -ORBX LOWI -PMDG 737 NGX -PMDG 777 -CaptainSim 757 -TBM850 PC Specs: Intel i5 6600k 3.50ghz Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming3 16GB DDR4 Geforce GTX 1070 Gaming 1 An example of one of the issues

Lately I've been losing interest in Flight Simulation, but I still want to keep FSX (and all of my addons) installed on my computer. However, I want to see if I can "clean up" my FSX installation so that I'll have more hard drive space for other things. By far, the biggest culprit in my FSX folder is Simobjects- it takes up roughly 26 gigabytes of space. After looking at various folders, I found that many of the repaints I had installed for each aircraft seemingly included every single texture the model had into their folder, regardless if the repaint modified it or not. This means that the folder's size itself is unnecessarily driven upwards. I know that one can make texture.cfg files that redirect the common textures to one folder, so that each repaint folder will only have the textures it needs. This allows a lot of space to be saved. Unfortunately, due to the sheer quantity of repaints and aircraft I have installed, the process of seeking out which textures to remove and copying .cfg files into each and every repaint would take a very long time. I remember reading a while ago on another thread where some users were talking about a similar issue- and one user mentioned a program that automatically locates shared textures, (or textures that are the exact same but repeated in every folder) deletes them and makes a texture.cfg file redirecting to a main folder. I spent about half an hour yesterday looking for said thread (and program) but I was unsuccessful. Anyone have any idea which program this could be? (If it even exists)

Hello! So I have now the Carenado Cessna citation S550. Since everyone including me are getting low FPS with this aircraft, I have disabled the cmeteo.dll file which gains me 3-5 FPS. But on the other hand I think the texture 4048x4048 is kinda high, I guess even PMDG has lower. So I want to lower the texture resolutions to 2024x2024 instead. The quastion is, but how? I believe it will gain me a bit more frames.
