  1. ... on a flight between Leipzig (Germany) and Istanbul (Turkey) with the SCS Tu-134. I hope you like it. Regards, Harald
  2. Hi, some pictures from a journey Leipzig EDDP to Tbilisi UGTB via Istanbul-Atatürk LTBA. I followed the route I flew four weeks ago in real world, with exception that I started at Berlin-Tegel then. But from the Polish/Czech border on the route should be quite the same. Taxiing at Leipzig... Still an Interflug plane! That is where I live: A sharp turn over Dresden. In fact, my house is situated where the rear end of the plane points to. Climbing above the Ore mountains, situated at the German-Czech border Night falls above Romania Approaching to Istanbul-Atatürk. As you surely know, this airport will be closed soon, replaced by a new built airport north of Istanbul. However, in my simulator it will be live on. The next day... Taking off for Tbilisi! Somewhere over Turkey Approaching Georgia and the Caucasus main range Approaching Tbilisi with the remarkable TV-Tower Final approach Arrived! Now let's go into the town and have a good glass of Georgian wine. As I was in Georgia only two weeks ago, my rememberings are still fresh! Plane: Freeware by SCS, available at avsim.su Sceneries: Leipzig by Aerosoft (payware); Istanbul-Atatürk by Gökhan Bayrakdar; Tbilisi by Alexander Svanidze Have fun! Regards, Harald
  3. Hi, this is the follow-up to my Atlantic flight, as I proceeded from Cologne to my home-airport-in-choose, Tbilisi. The first picture shows no Tu-134, but a German Air Force A310 as a tribute to this legendary plane - one of those which were purchased still by GDR's Interflug and passed to German Air Force. It is always interesting to rediscover what one's AI traffic is good for. Now this is my Tupolev shortly after taking off, showing the view towards Bonn: Into the sun: The Danube river near Bratislava: After flying over Hungary and Romania, we have to cross the Black Sea: We arrive at the Turkish coast over Trabzon... ... and then at the eastern coast of the Black Sea near Batumi: Beginning the descent over the northern slope of the Lesser Caucasus: View towards the Lesser Caucasus and Armenia: Flying the BAGE5B STAR approach to Rwy 31L Passing former Vaziani Air Base: Final approach: A nice place between the Russian beauties: Finally there: I hope you'll like the shots. Regards, Harald
  4. Hi, these are from a flight from Dushanbe, Tajikistan, to Beijing (A_A Sceneries' new masterpiece). Due to high fuel consumption of my preferred plane I had to find a place to refuel, and I did chose Altai in south-western Mongolia. Dushanbe: See all these venerable planes...! Probably Tajikistan Airlines' last Tu-134, ready to be scrapped 😥: Pamir's summits: Ismail Somoni Peak (former Pik Kommunizma) and Korshenevskoy: And then Altai: Literally the Middle of Nowhere: En route again: Mongolian Steppe: Near Beijing; beginning the ILS 36L approach: Beijing smog: Finally there: Regards, Harald
  5. Hi, some days ago a saw screenshots from a flight Zurich-Philadelphia. It looked quite easy: Taking off at Zurich... Landing at Philadelphia. Some hours of flying in between. But what to do when your plane consumes Kerosene the way a Siberian drinks Vodka? At first find a place where they can maintain a Tupolev in the western hemisphere. I thought of Havana: Due to fuel consumption, a planned to cross the Atlantic in three legs: Havana - Bermuda; Bermuda - Acores; Acores - Germany. Flying the Tupolev means work for a crew of four: Getting up. Bermuda in sight: The next day: En route again! Hours in the cockpit with only clouds and water in sight: Reaching Europe: The Acores. Flores Island below: Approach to Lajes AB at Terceira Island: The last leg begins with a meeting of Soviet planes in the middle ot the Atlantic Ocean: Again a very long time in the cockpit: Approaching Cologne: Finally resting. Regards, Harald
  6. Hi, some impressions from a journey Pyongyang - Kathmandu in three legs via Xian and Lhasa. Before flying, praise the Dictator! (Unfortunarely, the scenery is outdated and somewhat old style. However, it's the only one we have for FS2004.) ... then hurry up. Turning into final at Xian: It's quite busy there: At the position for take off to Lhasa ... and at the final for Lhasa Luckily, this is only virtual (polluting the high altitude environment)... Taxiing for the last leg to Katmandu. I really looked forward to cross the Himalaya! A brief view onto Lhasa city: ... then the mountains come into sight. Even with the not so high resolution of the phototerrain, this is quite impressive. Clouds cover the lower areas: Everest and Lhotse Cho Oyu and Gyachung Kang Clouds below... ... and ahead: Safely landed. I hope you like these, with a venerable plane in a venerable simulator. Regards, Harald
  7. From Tbilisi to Turkmenbashi (a freeware scenery lately discovered by forum member Dedl) in Turkmenistan with the Tu-134. Preparing the plane at Tbilisi: After take off: The easternmost ranges of Caucasus... ... shortly before the Caspian Sea gets in sight: Just after passing Baku the descent to Turkmenbashi begins: Approaching Turkmenbashi Regards, Harald
