The VOX 7.2 beta doesn't cost anything, but the trial runs out after 60 days, just like if you downloaded prior payware versions without purchasing. After the trial, 7.2 says you have to purchase a license, but there isn't any way to purchase it. Xplane 11 allowed purchase of the Beta, with upgrade to the final 11 version without further cost. Too bad this isn't an option with VOX as I'd gladly pay to keep using the beta, and the company could start making money again. Has anyone suggested this to Tegwyn? Any response? I'm going to directly ask VOX about this. Also, has anyone been able to reinstall after the 60 days has run? I haven't tried one of the registry cleaners yet to get the last bit of VOX out, thus (probably?) allowing reinstall. It seems that if the Beta can't be purchased, and there's no option to do so, there should be an indefinite license to use the Beta. Anyone have any ideas? I first started using the boxed version, and just hate to see VOX run into a brick wall. Thanks much. Jay

This feature suggestion concerns how VOX assigns the airliner ATC Callsign in the VoxATC Settings applet. First, I exclusively fly P3Dv5 PDG airliners, which include the livery info (Southwest, Frontier, American Airliners, etc.) in their aircraft descriptions (and/or maybe somewhere in the a/c definition file). Also, when selecting an aircraft to fly (when loading it in on startup in the flight simulator), there is an entry field for a flight number. Now, given that almost always forget to run the VoxATC Settings applet before loading the sim (to enter the ATC callsign), so... It would be awesome for me (and likely others) if the VoxATC settings applet would include some sort of checkboxes (in addition to the ATC Callsign entry field) to optionally "Use flight number entered into the simulator" and/or "Use livery for the aircraft selected in the simulator". I suspect the relevant info is available at runtime as shown in the SDK, but I am not a flight simulator developer, so I do not know for certain. Thanks for listening! -Tim

In case anyone gets the same or similar problems FSX Trying to fly out of LPMA with VOX there seemed to be a problem - ATC became "stuck" looped and "failed". No FATAL ERROR though but no continuing ATC. Examining the BGL with Airport design editor revealed that "TOWER" and "GROUND" had the same frequency. 118.350. Using ADE I was able to delete the "GROUND" from "LPMA_AFX_OP02.BGL " in FSX\AEROSOFT\MADEIRAXEVOLUTION\SCENERY. All fine now. Oh yes, run scenery indexer again after the change. Anyone want the file if they dont want to mess with ADE just e -mail - //mod edit - email address removed// Cheers John
