Hi to everyone here, I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello. I'm an X-Plane flier and currently flying out of Dublin mainly to the London airports. Just discovered the AFRE program so I'm trying to get to grips with that. Anyone else using it?

Hi, the general command keys for up and down have suddenly reverting the screen back to its initial position as soon as I take my finger off it, how do I stop it from reverting back? Appreciated for your answer

Hi, new member here and wanted some advice if you could. I'm new to flight sim, I did play years ago when Microsoft Flight Sim 2004 was out but I didn't really dive into it that much. I've just ordered the thrustmaster joystick with throttle and planning on buying x plane 10 also but wanted to know how hard it is to pick the knowledge up of flying? My goal is to fly the commercial airliners but that's probably way off as I don't have the knowledge of flying much so probably best to stick to light aircrafts for now, would you agree? When I hear people talk about different things and numbers it is so confusing, is it easy to pick all this jargon up? I struggle to understand the pre flight checklist nevermind flying so it's probably going to take me sometime to achieve it. What would you suggest to someone starting off like me? I would appreciate your input. Thanks Danny

hello ,I am presenting myself. remy ,a french simer :) I started x-plane on version 6 when I was only 9 years old, I am a very passionate. I also play : arma 2 / arma 3 /squad / star citizen / spintires / total war / ark / rust / cities skyline and oser. I also have a lot of plane in x-plane ,I always saved to buy the best airplane on x-plane.org or x-aviation.

Greetings all. I love to fly but financially, time and life changes have prevented that but I still want to enjoy flying. I have a good PC system intel 9900 with 1080Ti and struggling between doing VR vs building my own cessna panel with touch screen for gauges and some physical input (throttles and radios. I feel like VR is cheaper and more immersive yet the actual sensation of physical input will help me with getting my IFR in the future. Using Xplane but eyeing MSFS 2020.

Hi everyone. I am getting a strange issue with my mouse cursor In Xplane connected to the volume control nob on the Rxp Gtn 750. I can still move the cursor, however instead of it being the traditional arrow it is the turn down volume cursor. Ie: If i was pointing at the window of the plane and used the scroll wheel on the mouse I can see the volume turning down on the gtn750. This issue is occuring with the latest release of the Alabeo C177 V1.1 Cardinal. This issue however is not happening in other Carenado planes such as the C340, 690b turbo commander, or the Piper Pa31 Navajo. I thought the issue was with just the C177 Cardinal at first, until I installed the Carenado T210M Centurion II and Im getting the same issue, but instead of the mouse pointer being in the shape of a downward arrow, it is the shape of the push button hand but it is still attached to the same place the com volume nob on the GTN750. I reinstalled both planes so far, cleared preferences in Xplane, reinstalled the RXP gtn V2.5.6.0 and Reinstalled Garmin train v6.50 and disabled plugins one at a time to no avail. The 2 planes that I am having the issue C177 Cardinal and the Centurion II both use the same Bendix King autopilot system the others that work do not, im not sure if that is the issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.

Greetings - Pilot Wannabe here. I am taking private pilot lessons and using X-Plane to supplement by learning in the Cessna 172. I would like to optimize my simulator training experience, if possible, by resolving the following issues: 1. When I switch from the cockpit view looking forward to a view out the window, and then back to the cockpit, the view is further back that where it was when I turned away. This requires me to use the mouse to move the view forward in order to see the instruments at the same distance as was the case before looking away. The mouse adjustment is difficult, as the view tends to move forward very quickly. Is there a way to look away from the forward view, then come back to the same forward view I had before I looked away? 2. Is there a way to reset a flight from the beginning of the one I just was on? In other words, I would like to start a flight lined up on a runway, fly it, then immediately go back to the same start position. I know about the "last saved flight" option, but that's not exactly what I'm looking for. 3. Every time I start Xplane it takes a long time to load up. Is there any way to skip quickly to a flight scenario I would like to repeat over and over? Thanks much - John Quinn. Springfield, VA

Im brand new the the flight simulator world. Ive decided on Xplane 11 could someone tell me what all need to get started? I primarily want to use it for my instrument rating. I don't want buy something I don't need but I don't want to be wanting either. any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Hello, all. As suggested by the management, this is a first post to introduce myself. I'm working on a setup using X-plane 11 and Air Manager. X-plane 11 is superb but so far Air Manager seems very wiggy indeed. Because I am poor I am building all my own flight controls using Bodnar interfaces. My objectives are: first a C172 instrument trainer, then a turboprop twin designed in Plane Maker around the kind of cockpit I can actually construct. My main design concern is usually ergonomics, and I am interested in historical (pre-GPS) radio-navigation. I obtained a PPL twenty years ago but was almost immediately grounded owing to a medical problem which has since led to my retirement. As a result of this my progress with things in general is slow. In particular on some days I may not be able to face the computer at all and so may not reply in as timely a way as I should, for which apologies in advance. My hope is that somewhere out there is an Air Manager expert who will reassure me that I have not just bought a complete lemon.

I have the GTN 750 and using with TBM 900 Hot Start on X-Plane. I cannot get it to work on the 900 but it works fine with the stock Cessna 182. I have tried just about every setting. to get it to communicate with the autopilot and the MFD. it sees it but wont follow. help

I have the JARDesign A320 on X PLANE 11, when I create a flight plan in SimBrief and download it to the JARDesign A320 Flight plan folder, but when I try to load it into the aircraft FMC it Says file not found I checked the folder and it is in there so why cant the FMC find it "HELP

I already spent a lot of money on flight simulation, most recently P3D. As I'm trying to get everything installed and tuned properly, I find myself getting very agitated with Prepar3d. It seems that when a new update comes out, I must constantly wait for compatibility updates to various amounts of software that I have purchased. So my question is if this happens in X-Plane. This is starting to get so frustrating that I am ready to abandon P3D altogether if I don't have to constantly go thru this. Then to make matters worse, I am sure they will jump to a new version altogether in due time, rendering everything basically useless unless I pay for more upgrades and new sim from LM. X-Plane? Mouse- can´t click and hold mouse buttons

First srry for my English So i was starting Xplane11 today and realised that i cant look around by holding the right mouse button I tried it many times also turned off all the plugins still no difference. I also figured out that i cant move switches by holding down my left mopuse button and drag them eg. in the IXEG i tired it also inside the default aircraft no differences I really need help i dont know hat to do Thankyou for your Answers! -

Running on Xplane 11 Carenado pc12 Cant turn on insturment lights cant turn on nav radio I have to use the flashlight to fly at night as i cannot turn on the insturment lights. The two switches on the pedestal which are labled for inst light do nothing . I have clicked on them tried to turn etc with no results . Docs that were included do not address this Clincking on the Nav 1 0r 2 radio button does not turn the nav radio on. The autopilot is the same way nothing hapens clicking on AP on until you undock it from the panel , then everything works. You cannot undock the audio panel form the panel What am i missing here ? Any help greatly appreciated

Hey guys using a Mac Pro and X-Plane 10 currently all stock except an aerobask pipestral which took me a while to get up and running. Had track IR on It but couldn’t make it work with the pipestral so had to make a choice. Now im trying to figure out if the reality 430w is better ( more realisting in its use) than the 430w supplied with the X-Plane 10 and also If it will be able to replace the supplied 430w in that location without bugs etc. please remember I have X plane on a MAC . Hoping to get this working for some realistic IFR practice.

New X-Plane 11 user and I am trying to get the most out of the simulator as possible. My goal is to get my private pilot certificate and I want to learn all I can before starting actual flight school. I am currently reading all the ASA ground school material and I was told by a flight instructor that a flight simulator can be a valuable tool to use in addition to a ground school syllabus. My intent is to have as much knowledge as possible when I start flight school classes and keep my training hours not to a minimum but lower than the average 65-70 hours of flight hours. At about $135 and hour + fuel it can get pricey quick. I will read and search the forums before posting the same question I am sure has been asked a hundred times before and thanks for letting me join. Hi my names Terry and I am a total novice at using a flight sim. I decided to try to learn how to fly using a sim as I got totally fed up with playing golf online for the past 7 years so consequently I have no idea of how to use one and at 74 yrs of age i'm willing to try anything. I haven't even got my sim yet ( Xplane 10 from Ebay ) its due for delivery in 2 days along with a thrustmaster joystick so I'll be looking for some sort of guidance and tuition and if I crash then there's no harm done just another lesson learned. So any advice for this total beginner would be most welcome , thanks for your time guys. Rdgs Terry

I just started using x-plane. When I try to calibrate my joystick all the axis but pitch go green on calibration. No matter how many times I cycle the pitch position the slider remains red. I use the joystick in a Gamin G1000 simulator and it works perfectly. Any suggestions? Andy Cruce

The autopilot gets close to destination airport then starts giving the wrong headings. I set two way points indicating the runway. Do I need to set anything other than alt, vs, ias,and heading . Also the tower at times keeps repeating the runway to go to. I tried reinstalling the drivers and software with no success. I would appreciate any help. Thanks -

I use XPLANE 11 V4. I purchased gtn750 9/16/2017. All was good, it installed and functioned well after I updated it about a month ago. I was excited and bought gtn650, downloaded, installed and now NOTHING works. Anybody have the version before the POPOUT window of the GTN750 I could download. That version worked awesome. Help Please. GoFastPilots
