Hello Avsim friends, I have the MCP, EFIS from Virtual Avionics all working great in p3dv4! But........I’m new on Xplane 11 and unable to get the hardware modules (MCP and EFIS) working. Do the modules work with the Xplane 11 (with the default planes)? My root cause and actions to try to solve the non functioning hardware: The icon of VA modules is green, the MCP is showing 0 signs in the displays but they do not interact with the simulator at all. What am I missing? Choosing a different profile in the configurator does not help. The status in the VA configurator program is showing xplane11 and showing the actual chosen plane like Cessna 182 or default Boeing 737. I downloaded the free 737 version from EADT installed it. After doing so, the VA configurator is showing the plain type info but again the MCP and EFIS are not working. When selecting the x737 profile in VA configurator it still does not work. The Windows firewall is off. So no problem with incoming or outgoing connections. Installed the 2.6 version (the VA plug-in is installed and active in Xplane). Installing 2.5 version does not help to resolve the problem. What am I missing? I'm lost.... please help. . Thank you. Mike
I'm interested in learning if anyone has any information concerning PMDG's plans on porting out its amazing 737, 777 etc. to the Xplane platform in the future. I'm thinking the DC6 might have been a trial balloon and a foot in the door for future developments that will include its airline fleet. Please no opinions on what the best Sim is. I don't care. I have them all.
Hey pilots! I currently own P3D v4 with a lot of add-ons and thinking of setting up X-Plane 11 as well and use both, I searched online about the different add-ons for X-Plane 11 and I saw that a lot of people are divided for some of the add-ons. (looking for P3D v4 equivalent add-ons for X-Plane 11) Below are all the add-ons I currently own on P3D v4 and I’d appreciate it if you can copy & paste the list and mention the P3D v4 equivalent add-on for X-Plane 11. (Payware is not an issue, what matters to me is the quality and realism ) Scenery: - Orbx FTX Global Base Pack - Orbx FTX Global Vector - Orbx FTX OpenLC - Orbx sceneries by country (England, Germany North, Etc..) - FS Global Ultimate Textures: - ENVTEX Weather: - ASP4 - ASCA - PercipitFX Airports: I know who develops the best airports for P3D v4 but I have no idea who are the major devs for X-Plane 11 airports Aircrafts: - FSLabs A320x – JARDesigns A320 (Also waiting for FF A320) Utilities: - Chase Plane - PTA - GSX - PFPX - Fsaerodata (to update P3D v4 Nav database) Many thanks in advance guys!
Cactus521 posted a topic in Hangar ChatMy eighteen-year-old daughter recently told me she discovered my Flightsim videos on Youtube. Seemed like she was encouraging me to share my videos with a wider audience than those of us who frequent our forums here. So today I linked one of my Xplane videos on my Facebook page. I've always gotten good responses to my nature and city photography there so I decided to curb my shyness about the sims outside our circles and gauge how many are interested. So far several pp have seen my setup, which works especially well with my Logitech 3D Pro controller. Xplane11 specifically needs a well weighted, firm controller or yoke since it does not use null zones like FSX/P3D do. This controller has a built-in null zone. I am posting a link to my facebook page, if it is not allowed, mods please feel free to remove my link from this post. John https://www.facebook.com/john.cillis
