  1. Hello everyone. As everyone know , Rex is working on new weather engine Rex Weather Direct. I bought Rex 4 texture yesterday and looking for weather engine. ASN has %20 discount on their products. I can buy ASN without upgrade(doesnt have money for upgrade) or should I wait for Rex weather engine?. I think Rex weather engine will has better compatibility with Rex 4 texture. I would like to see your suggestions.
  2. Greetings Gentleman, I have a notebook where I run secondary applications on a network to communicate with my main sim machine. I already have Simconnect setup for FSX, but I cannot find any tutorials on setting up Simconnect for P3D. Amongst others, I want to run Active Sky Next on my notebook via Simconnect. I just purchased a new SSD where I installed P3D 2.4 (so clean install) and am setting things up now so that all is ready for when the T7 is released - hopefully this year still. Your expertise would be greatly apprecaited. Thank you and regards, Rene
  3. Hi Guys, After reading so many positive reviews I thought about trying ASN myself. I have downloaded the free trial version but unfortunately for some unknown reason it doesn't seem to be working on my computer. I keep getting the following error message "ASN cannot control ambient weather parameters correctly. thus it cannot function properly at this point and will shut down"….Sometimes FSX itself displays a message saying it can't run a third party add on i.e. ASN Once I had a huge error message that I haveforwarded to the developers. I am really disappointed as it seems I am the only only one having such problems…. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Ronnie
  4. I'm still a sucker for sunset shots. Flight1 Cessna 182T, extensive Orbx scenery, Active Sky Next. On my way from Bozeman MT to Felts Field Spokane WA.

  7. Hello, I bought Active Sky Next last week and I am absolutely happy with, but today happens something weird with the map. The map becomes red like this link to image http://s76.photobucket.com/user/rgflores/media/fsscr279.png.html In this way it becomes difficult to read. Any idea to fix it? Thank you!
  8. This one is pretty straight forward. Yesterday ASN worked just fine. Today I start up my sim and ASN just says "Waiting for Simulator." It will not connect to FSX. I have a legal version of FSUIPC and it is running. I didn't change anything with flightsim, no modifications, nothing. Anyone else experience this?
  9. Hello all, Has anyone heard news of PMDG developing a service pack for the 737 8/900 weather radar using ASN? Ifly has announced it's future use in the Ifly737. PMDG 777 going to use it as well. Thanks for any info, Jason T/O=L
  10. Out of the blue I have these errors appearing when I start my ASN. I have tried opening it after FSX and before. Also I have updated to latest version. I also have looked at permissions on each folder path possible. It seems as if it works perfectly fine but I'm getting these errors at start up. First this one: Then this one:
  11. The following shots are all unedited RAW FSX with the Carenado Beechcraft 1900D flying in ORBX CRM territory with REX 4 environment textures and Active Sky Next as the weather engine; enjoy!
  12. Hello... It's been a while since the last time i used FSX, but recently ive installed all my add-ons, including ASX, it happens that i was having trouble with the realtime download of weather data, and after a little research on internet, ive found no practical answers, however, i've decided to purchase the AS_Next upgrade since it comes with a discount for older users as me.. Read the reviews and progress development sounded all good, until i installed it.. Now i cannot start the FSX as it crashes all the time, the faulty module is "mscorwks.dll" which somehow looks like it is related with Net.framework.. Checked my framework installations, and i have them all fine and fresh, plus my windows installation is fresh too, and with all updates.. Since i cannot find any relevant info on internet, i unistalled ASNext again and re-installed.. FSX crashes all the time.. unless i uninstall ASNext.. Please someone bright my mind, I'm out of ideas.. Notes: - Computer got a new fresh Win 7 64 bit installation - All updates were made - A Ticket to Hifi support forums was submitted - got asked about antivirus, and told to update my FSUIPC version from 4.8 to 4.927b or later (I did) - My anti virus is the free & smooth Microsoft security essentials - ASNext update was installed - Tried to uninstall ASNext and clean the registry without sucess - FSX only runs without ASNext installed Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BEX Application Name: fsx.exe Application Version: 10.0.61637.0 Application Timestamp: 46fadb14 Fault Module Name: mscorwks.dll Fault Module Version: 2.0.50727.5472 Fault Module Timestamp: 5174dd69 Exception Offset: 002822f6 Exception Code: c0000409 Exception Data: 00000000 OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1 Locale ID: 2070 Additional Information 1: f660 Additional Information 2: f66064b1ddad5f50821c8c5486f2c6b8 Additional Information 3: b2dc Additional Information 4: b2dc8ef9b5b2c52652e7ce2acaec3b5dASN_Log_Export.txt
  13. Hi, guys! I'm not used to post my screenshots in the forum, but I thought this was worth showing... I took a break from flight simulation for several months. At that time, I already had Active Sky Next, but without any of the service packs... Now that I'm flying a bit again, I installed the SP1 and SP2... and, a couple of days ago, I was blown away by what I saw in my virtual skies. Take a look at these cloud formations. I'm hoping that the screenies will talk for themselves. I've never seen something like this in any FS. (I promise you I'm not being paid to tell these things btw  )... This all happened in a flight with the Triple 7 between Auckland and Sydney. Oh, a little bonus... in another flight, while approaching YSSY, I saw this in the ND... Anyway. My congratulations for the guys that made these things possible. Best regards,
  14. Hi all There's a new beta version of ASN for P3D V2.3 only - available from HiFi Sim! www.hifitechinc.com/forums/showthread.php?3502-ASN-SP1-OPEN-BETA-4-now-available!-FSX-and-P3D Downloading now! Cheers Adam

But, ASN didn’t work the weather radar even though there is many clouds when I selected a “Activesky weather theme” in P3D weather options. and. When I change the others weather options in P3d except “Clear skies” and “Activesky weather theme”,,,, ASN weather radar do work well… I don’t understand this situation… please help me. Oscar
