I am in need of information on a continuing problem with the PMDG 737 autopilot for some time now. First of all, it doesn’t happen on every flight and it doesn’t happen in all takeoffs and approaches. It only happens during my takeoff from (KSFO) San Francisco International to (KSNS) Salinas Airport. I program the FMC no different than I do for any of the other flights from and to other airports. When taking off and reaching over 500 feet the autopilot will NOT engage. It won’t engage until it reaches 7000 feet or above and past three waypoints from the airport. Upon approach to Salinas the autopilot uses only one channel and will NOT engage Command B even while using the Nav 1 and 2 frequencies and the correct entries for the TDZ and length of the airport or elevation. Then when I reach the decision height the autopilot disengages on its own. The FMC setting is NOT configured for it, yet it still disengages. Has anyone experienced this and is there a step that I’m missing, or solution to this problem? The aircraft ends up crashing to the ground not giving me sufficient time to recover thereby ruining the whole experience. Please help!

Hello! I have an issues that I never used to have......Once im close to the runway and all straighten up with the run way, the pink diamond starts to move down, When that happens, I press approach hold (app) and it keeps going low and makes me crash before the runway! When do i click approach hold?? When the pink diamond STARTS to move or once its in the middle? Please help! This is for FSX, ILS landing. -
Hello! I want to practice ILS approaches with the NGX (LANDINGS MAINLY) So can I have a download link to an FSX load game saved filed where im aligned with the runway ( You know, Disengage AP and all that I will have to do about 500ft before touchdown) but you know what I mean! Thanks! I think tutorial 2 already has the downloaded saves...but where do i place them??

Good day! I recently bought the NGX 737 and I love it! I have 2 questions regarding it. 1 - Auto Pilot. I Came from using the stock 737 in FSX so I dont know what the LNAV AND VNAV do...I see everyone uses it in ILS landings but Im using to using VLOC and APP. Somotimes I click LNAV AND VNAV and i dont get a green light saying its been activated...so, how do I use auto pilot for ILS landings (NOT AUTO LAND) in the NGX 737? On a side note...where is the NAV/GPS switch so i can pick which one to use? 2 - FMC.....All i know is to set fuel, ground connections and a few other things like putting in the air port but i dont know the waypoint part since I never have any....I need to know how to use the FMC so it can tell me when to put my flaps and speed and all that.... Please send a link of a video or anything useful that teaches this. Its almost impossible to have a real flight without it. PLEASE give me a good starter flight plan for this so I can learn and last thing, SIDS, I dont even know where to find mine or what it is. Thank you In advance Mirakledba

Hello! I'm not using pedals, and it's hard to control the plane while taking off from the runaway. Is there a way to lock the nosewheel and keep the plane straight? If not, can someone recommend control settings for the Logitech Extreme 3d Pro? What is the elevator trim setting for take-off? At the default value of '0' the plane complains about the trim after take-off. Where can I get a guide or a user manual for the auto-pilot. It doesn't have to be the official user manual. A tutorial or walkthrough would be nice. I googled and a bit surprised to find out that they are selling what appears to be the official manual for the unit. -

Apologies if this topic has been discussed before. I tried to search it but didn't really find anything useful. During my climb between 5000ft - FL 200 LNAV was getting frequently disengaged for some reason. I noticed that every time it disengaged after a turbulence as the plane was shaking sidewise. I do not have any weather add on and I was only using standard fsx realtime weather. So is it normal for the LNAV to get disengaged after a turbulence? On a separate note, during another flight all on sudden my auto pilot stopped working even though I didn't sign up for any emergence or failure. I had to deploy the second autopilot to get the plane on course. Since then the primary autopilot didn't work throughout the flight...is there any reason? Did I do anything wrong by mistake? Hello! In this video at like 7:15 he picks BCN Which is his first way point....I use the same site as him to plan routes and I want to go KJFK to KBOS and my first airway is NEWES and I dont get anything like NWS or so on my KJFK Departure page. Im sure everything is right with the FMC since so far I only did the pos Intl and stuff but which do i pick? BEETE3 DEEZZ3 GREKI3 HAPIT3 JFK1 MERIT3 SKORR3 None of those look like what is in my route planner ( http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/ ) So please tell me, how do I know what to pick in the Departure page? Thanks I changed the altitude to 5000 in the route planner and it made my first airway WRENN and thats not in the Departure page too

Hi! I understand that this aircraft doesn't have an "ALT HOLD" function in the traditional sense. Use the rocker switch to control VS and then hit the ALT button to hold the altitude. The question I have, is can the auto pilot fly a glideslope? I see where it SHOWS the glideslope, but can it FLY one? If so, how do I tell it to do so? Here's how it happens for me... I'm established at a proper angle to intercept the ILS with the alt hold enabled and HDG on the AP. All is well. I get close and see the needle goes active, so I hot the APR button. The HDG light goes off and the plane banks to intercept the localizer. FIRST PROBLEM, when I hot the APR button the ALT hold function automatically disables. So I climb back to the appropriate altitude for the approach and hit the ALT button again. So now I have the ALT and APR lights on the AP annunciator panel (along with FD and AP of course). The autopilot flies along this course towards the runway, I see the glideslope indicators start to move down, I watch them go past the mid-line... and SECOND PROBLEM, just keep going! The plane flies RIGHT through the GS intercept and the GS light never turns on. If there is not supposed to be a GS function, then why is there an indicator for it? Also why when I hit the APR button does the ALT HOLD function turn off? If it is possible could someone give a breakdown of how to fly a glideslope with the AP. Thanks PS I noticed the F33A bonanza does the same thing.
