This is an odd one. Have been trying to solve this for about 3 hours. No matter which B747 variant I attempt to load, when I disconnect all ground services/vehicles and set the wheel chocks to "REMOVED", a "CHCKS INHBT message appears under all the service vehicle lines in the CDU. I read Kyle's response to another user that mentioned if you load P3D with a PMDG 747 as default or switch between variants in a session, this can happen... but that isn't the case here. Here's the scenario: 1. Load P3D with default F-22 2. Load any B747 at any airport with the "747 Short" panel state 3. Verify there are no ground services or vehicles connected. 4. Verify visually that the chocks are set in-place on the landing gear. 5. Select "Wheel Chocks" to "REMOVED" on the CDU 6. CHCKS INHBT message appears in CDU under all service vehicles. What I've done: 1. Searched all the provided PMDG 747 PDFs - found nothing on this issue 2. Searched the internet for comments on "CHCKS INHBT" - nothing found 3. Removed the modified Prepar3D.cfg and allowed P3D to recreate - problem persists 4. Loaded a B747F model - same issue occurrs 5. Disabled ChasePlane (problem stared after I loaded it) - problem persists Any ideas? What file is used by all QOTS B747 variants that could be causing this? Thanks in advance for your help or suggested troubleshooting steps!

Hi All, I've noticed over the past two days that performance of my sim when flying the new PMDG 747 v3 is grinding to an - almost - halt. start the sim off and performance is fine, however start to see some freezes of up to 20 seconds at a time during set up of the aircraft. as time goes on, the freezes are still around 20 seconds, but the frequency increases so much so that the take off roll can last up to 4 minutes! it's basically unusable. Nothing's changed on my system except the installation of the Atlas B74F since i started noticing these performance issues. When I bought the plane last weekend, it ran ok (not as reliable as the 777 or 737 mind you). really not sure what to do. i've uninstalled the Atlas 74F and reverted back to China Airlines Cargo, but having the same issues. tried two separate airports to rule out scenery (they're very basic airports too - freeware bgl files, nothing more), also disabled vatsim, disabled all weather. i will also reduce my global scenery settings, but I fear the issue may be something else other than this - it ran fine last week! I've read issues about a new nVidia driver leaking VAS, however I'm running a real old card, and I haven't updated it any drivers for it recently. will test the same airport and set up with the 777 to see if i experience the same issue. until then, if anyone has any ideas, i'd appreciate it.

hey everyone, I'm new, from Australia. I fly FS9 because I haven't been sucessful in getting FSX to run on my computer smoothly. Might try again soon though. Anyway, I've just gotten into PMDG and am wanting to fly a simpler plane then the B747. I'm going well trying to learn the b747 but I'd like to try something simpler before continuing to try to learn. I'm very close to getting the b1900c but was looking at the 737. I know it's been discontinued but it's still available in the extended download. My question is: Can anybody download whatever is in the extended download service on PMDG, or do you need to have purchased the original product beforehand (meaning that I won't be able to use the 737)?

Here you go Al! My latest 747-200 video had no instrument/panel lighting .....well it has now....separate switches for each. All done by the magic of alpha channels. :Nerd: .....now to light the engineers panel. :Cuppa:

Latitude and Longitude Coordinates for Flight Plans in Route Description. Hi I create a lot of irregular flight plans on little navmap for the msfs community and post them on flightsim.to. I have then been using the route description copying to clipboard and inserting into simbrief. This has mostly been successful for FBW a320neo and Headwind a339neo and other aircraft. However I have had no success with the Stable Salty B747 which currently cant use 11 letter format (development version can). The Salty Stable B747 requires a 5 (or 7) letter format. In the route descriptions latitude and longitude coordinates appear in a 11 letter format I need a method to mass convert this to 7 or 5 letter format. I have not been able to get the route description to change from 11 letter to 7 or 5 letter. In Options 'UNITS' the 'coordinates' is set to 'decimal degree' which is the 7 letter format. And of course switch back to 11 letter format for other aircraft. Examples: 11 letter coordinates: 3050N12022W 4620N07805W < degrees and minutes. 7 letter coordinates: 60N045W 46N078W < degrees only. 5 letter coordinates: 5020N 5020N < NAT type. Example flight plan route: EGHQ N0490F300 5034N00520W 5039N00536W 5112N00558W 5153N00548W 5233N00541W 5247N00553W 5303N00613W 5311N00646W 5316N00712W 5314N00742W 5254N00829W EINN I have looked over the little nav map manual and not found a solution though I may have missed it. Even if someone knows an online website that could mass convert coordinates from 11 letter to 7 ir 5 letter. All that I have found require one coordinate at a time. Any help would be appreciated, thanks, Richard.
