  1. PMDG's Rob Randazzo today published more pictures of the upcoming B Triple 7. Rob made some comments about the aircraft, saying this among others; "We'll start with this image because it gives you the impression of size. The 777 is a BIG airplane. When we first started taking delivery of these airplanes at UAL back in 1995, one of my co-workers commented that the 777 looked like a dirigible with wings... I think this image shows that aspect very well. You will note here also how smooth the skin-form is on this airplane. We have put a significant amount of work into replicating how smooth the airplane's surface is, even with the lap joints between skin surfaces. Boeing put a significant amount of effort into drag reduction in the design of the 777 and you can really see it here." You can join the conversation regarding Rob's announcement and the T7, here.
  2. Hi there Thank you very much for this excellent airplane! I do have an issue with the altitude intervention function though. In descent with altitude constraints and with the MCP altitude set below a constraint, every push on the button should clear one constraint in between the aircraft's current altitude and the MCP altitude. However, I don't get it to work... FMA shows VNAV PTH. Anyone having the same? Regards, Roland
  3. So here is a little video about problem The problem is, that overall FPS in VC is 40-50. Even on high attitudes there is numbers like 60-70 FPS. But. The problem is, that I don't feel this FPS when move yoke. It feels like Yoke has only 10-15 fps. It's not smooth like in other aircrafts I have. Also spoilers, flaps, gear animation have the same problem. I tried to find topics about that, but every topic I found, cant solve my problem. So guys, if you know what to do, help me. Thanks. (My pc conf: i7 3770k, 8gb RAM, NVidia gtx 970, windows 10, game: Prepar3D V3.2.)
  4. Just reading about the BBS A330, went to check, and surprise: The PSS A32x, B757 and B777 for FS9 are now at €9.99. And with the Euro going down... http://www.blackboxsimulation.com/index.php/products/fs-2004/ Enjoy!
  5. A little video from youtube. This video shows an Emirates B777 powering away after aborting a landing due to windsheer. Watch the B777 being tossed around like a ragdoll before the pilot decides that "enough is enough" and performs a go-around, landing successfully on the second attempt. Regards. Fher.
  6. Hi all, have noticed recent downloads of Boeing 777-300 and 767 American Airlines livery for FS2004 as well as FS-X from simviation.com, graphics and panels are excellent photoreal quality, however once installed in a Windows 7 (64bit) machine (have not tried in other windows formats since unavailable to me) they do not like to leave the runway with my joystick pulled back all the way. So if y'all happen to come upon these machines, original Project Opensky Boeings, it's a waste of time and bandwith to download and install. If any of you are paid members of simviation, please forward this to their moderators/webmaster as well so they can look into it further. Thanks, Flight Simulation Rules! As Real As It Gets For us unlucky ones who can't do it for real. Ex MSN Zone's F56HS_Diablo of the F56th Hurrican Squadron (CFS1) here :-)
  7. I don't know if anyone noticed or not, but we posted the following this morning:"PMDG today announced the soon to commence BETA testing of their eagerly anticipated B777 and surprised everyone by announcing that the next version of their venerable B747, Version 2.0, will follow shortly thereafter. Both will be released within a month or two of each other. At the Aerosoft Convention in Munich, Germany, today, PMDG made a presentation in which Rob Randazzo, CEO, reviewed PMDG's development processes since 2008 and explained how PMDG has made some fundamental design decision directions in their evolving product line. At this presentation Rob also presented some of the images you see in this article."You can read the entire story here: http://forum.avsim.net/page/Reviews/pmdg.html
  8. on why after a transatlantic flight from EGLL to KJFK I am failing to pick up the G/S only the LOC ON MY T7. All the flight, up until that landing is routine. I am landing at 4L and am using the Parch 1 star from my last waypoint Ebony at TOD. I have my altitude set at 2500 all the way for the decent, I am not flying with ATC to give me vectors only the FMC.
  9. Rob Randazzo has tonight provided an update on the status of the B777 and has provided some pretty stunning images of the cockpit. If this long awaited add-on is of interest to you, we suggest you have a read of Rob's lengthy post here.
  10. AVSIM is very pleased to announce the arrival of the Boeing 777 Worldliner for X-Plane. This is an officially licensed add-on to X-Plane by Boeing. It has been designed with the input of aeronautical engineers and B777 pilots, and models nearly all systems. It has been designed to work as high fidelity as possible to the real thing. The 777 Worldliner Professional comes with a fully functional FMS with complete navigation features and it uses real-world nav data. Graphically, the 777 is as detailed as it gets and features many add-ons such as push-back, fuel and passenger truck. The B777 Worldliner Professional can be purchased from with the AVSIM Store here: http://forum.avsim.net/store/product/143-boeing-777-worldliner-professional-for-x-plane/ This add-on is for X-Plane 9 and X-Plane 10 and is not compatible with FSX.

  12. Hi guys. I'm helping a team over at x-plane.org do a 3D redesign of the cockpit, and I'd like to know the exact fonts and their weights used throughout the cockpit. I understand the font is probably Futura but the Light version appears too thin and the Regular version appears too thick. I also get that the Condensed version was used for the MFD panel left of the MCP, and on all buttons on the MCP. Can I have this info, please? Thanks much.
  13. Hi Guys, I'm working on my next project now, to be printed as a kit. Haven't decided yet which scale. Of course you can guess what is is...., or at least what it's gonna bee when it's finished.
  14. Can anyone confirm that the proper key command for AP disengage is: Crtl+shift+ Z ?
  15. Just received these from Rob, sent from Munich. I will let the images speak for themselves... Enjoy! ]
  16. I all, I am planning on release a native FSX 777 that has system detail on par with the Aerosoft Airbus X package. The visuals would be just as good. I plan on releasing it soon for £25. Please complete the poll.Aaron G.
  17. Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knows what the block point version is of the latest PMDG B777 -200 / -300 products. A friend of mine, who flies 777's for a major European airline, recently told me that their B777 fleet had been updated to BP17 and it now includes a few more handy tools and new EICAS alerts, for example if you've forgotten (or not completed) the before take-off or approach check lists. It also produces an EICAS allert [ ] NON-NORMAL CHECKLIST if the NCL hasn't been completed. Handy stuff! Anyway, I was just wondering. Regards, Dan Zaat
  18. Is there any offset mapping list available for B777X as I got it for B737 NGX (Offset_Mapping_PMDG737NGX.pdf). I'm programming in VB and I absolutely need offset values for input data in order to adapt my cockpit to B777X. To generate events, offset values are available in PMDG B777 sdk C++ program. For input data, I didn't find anything. Regards Jean-Pierre
