Hi All! edit: This is now a freeware project, test it out here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/lln7i95ghptng0x/AAAFiCOMMyhQVydgWG0rJkv3a?dl=0 To decrypt, enter "TheHunHunterTexas" (mods, I do not use this passphrase anywhere, but I do not feel lime uploading 250MB again just to remove the password, so if you can, let it be here visible to everyone) also, if you would like to contribute to expand this to worldwide scale, just ring the bell! I have been working on a big big scenery lately, covering Western Europe with OSM vector data for coastlines, roads, lakes and even some VTP land class (for urbanized areas)... The scenery covers all western Europe (the EURW area of FS9) from Portugal to just east of Italy. Resolution is at about 1point/10m, for roads, coastlines, rivers, railroads, power lines and VTP urban area polygons! Here Some screenshots so you know what you are testing! Reykjavik, Iceland Innsbruk, Austria Genova, Italy Note that I have a variety of freeware texture add-ons and a (free) global SRTM mesh... If interested, respond to the topic and you will obtain the dropbox link and the decryption password via PM.

Hello, I wonder if anyone could help me. Ever since Sim Update 5, some items in my Community Folder no longer work in sim. These are mostly liveries. (I have made sure that these have been updated to be compatible with the update). When I open the Content Manager in game, these items show as "Not Installed". I am at a loss as to how to fix this, I have tried using "MSFS Addons Linker" but this still doesn't solve the problem. TIA Joe

With our recent system upgrades and fine tuning of our back end systems, we have made the decision to bring back our Online Chat System. The Chat system allows you to "chat" with your fellow AVSIM Community members in real time. This is a text based system and is not a "voice over IP" system such as TeamSpeak. Never the less, it gives you instant access to your fellow members at anytime of day or night, 24 / 7. You can access the Chat system by clicking on the COMMUNITY tab or by clicking here.

I was wondering if it is possible that there could be a Discord where users could help each other with the doubts that arise, in that sense it could free the work of answering the same questions to Dave and on the other hand have a meeting point where we can enrich our knowledge and share it, to save time between all of us. Through this Discord we could free Dave's time to give support, share screenshots between us about the different configurations and possible mistakes we make, share profiles of airports with Taxiways and Gates and many other things that could enrich the experience between P2ATC users. I don't know if Dave, you think it would be a good idea to free up your support work and have more time to develop the product. Sorry if I made any mistakes in English but it is not my native language. Thanks.

We have brought online a new donation system. The issue for us that caused this change is that the old system did not recognize the member's support of AVSIM (other than to get a big thank you message upon completion of the donation payment). This new system gives the donor a little bit of public recognition for their contribution and support. Here are the details: All of the forum donation buttons now take the user to a Marketplace page with the donation alternatives displayed. There are 7 selections at the moment: $5.00 – Donor - 3 months $10.00 – Donor – 6 months $25.00 – Donor - 9 months $50.00 – Bronze – 1 year $125.00 – Silver – 1 ½ year $250.00 – Gold – 2 years $500.00 – Lifetime – No time limit The durations have to do with an indicator that will appear in the user’s side panel profile with each message they post. This is accomplished by moving them to a new group. When the duration expires, if they have not renewed, they will be moved back to the “member” group. The Lifetime contributor remains a lifetime contributor forever. Every member who donates will be sent an email 7 days before their donation expires in order to renew it, or not. Renewals are not automatic. That means that the system WILL NOT automatically charge you for another donation. Here are the images that appear: If you want to see an example of this, look for FPPILOT’s post in this topic: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/433916-approachscenery-misalignment/ You are not obligated or required to contribute of course. Access to all of AVSIM remains free. If you decide to contribute, the AVSIM Staff and your fellow community members will be shown your support of this community. And if you do contribute, thank you in advance for doing so. EDIT: We are working on refining the images and some other details.

HI, I found my msfs community folder buried in c:\XboxGames\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Content\ Packages\fs-base-ui\html_ui\icons\community. Is this the folder I am supposed to use for installing the seasons? Right now it just has a bunch of html files it and installing the seasons in it (yes, one at a time) doesn't make them show up in my simulator. Thank you! Eric

Gentlemen, Recently, to be specific today, my niece approached me with a request to distribute a survey among flight simulator community members. I know I am new, but have been a AVSIM library user for years. I sincerely hope you don't mind! My niece is a student "free time management" at the "InHolland Academy" (School for higher education in the Netherlands) and is working on a project in which online communities play a major role. It's a small survey and requests little of your time. Not to mention that it is of course anonymously. My niece would be very grateful if you'd participate in this survey. The link is stated below: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ZDG8B2W Thanks in advance. (The survey has been distributed throughout other networks as well, I hope you don't mind)
