Hello, I am new to Prepar3D by Lockheed Martin, and I have not gotten any commercial jet aircraft on my simulator yet, I thought I would start out with a light regional airliner for starts. I tried to port the Wilco ERJ-140/145 into P3D, yet it really didn't work even with the Estonian migration tool. I contacted the company and they never responded. Also I tried the Razabam Metroliner, which turned out to be an utter failure with no external lights and many internal warning lights not working or not turning off. Razabam's technical support did help me for a while but they never resolved the actual problem. So I'm looking to get an aircraft that I can just install and fly; so that I can actually learn for once. So my question is does the Virtualcol ERJ-170/175 work well with P3D V2.5? because the description only says P3D which could mean V1 of P3D. Also, from the users who own this aircraft is it worth buying? Thank you Avsim Forum members for your help and consideration!

I own FSX Gold (FSX Deluxe + Acceleration) but wanted to install FSX on more PCs but can't find FSX Gold at a sensible price anywhere (not interested in FSX SE right now). Is FSX Acceleration required for modern addons or would FSX Deluxe + SP2 do just as good a job? I understand that the SDKs for SP2 and Acceleration are different.

FSX-SE Maddog and FSX Steam Edition compatibility?
riccardo74 posted a topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
Has nayone tried out to install FlyTheMaddog in FSX Steam Edition? I'll tried but in VC all screen and gauges are black and many of clickspots are unclickable. I think there is a problem during installation process, bacause installer look at specific FSX path to write down some files. In P3D v 2.4 some gauges work but on CDU there is a red string indicating the incompatibility, here in FSX-SE all screen are black like there are not correctly inizialized, the situation is a bit different. There is no so many changes in FSX-SE code vs FSX or not? 2D seems to works properly. Thanks for your report. -
Hello dear flightsimmers, Is there anyone around that has been able to make Aerosoft Maastricht X (FS2004) compatible with NL2000? Are there some files to add/remove to use the photoscenery of Aerosoft without NL2000 bleeding through or without "MESH" issues? Never really had issues with NL2000, and since EHAM is my both VA's HUB, (and EHRD/EHEH both focus cities) it is a must-have, i really love it. I know there was a solution for Aerosoft EHAM + NL2000 and i applied it succesfully after a few tries. It Works flawlessly since then. Since the NL2000 EHBK is low-quality (though NL2000 EHRD and NL2000 EHGG are nicely modelled) i decided to install aerosoft Maastricht X, which i like very much. Just this one issue is still luring round the corner, and i cant seem to find the solution. Although i am quite capable of finding self-solutions for many FS9 issues, i sometimes need some help from my co-simmers, like this time for example. :-) Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out.

Hi Everybody, I'm trying do get my UT2 traffic a bit better. So I installed the AI TFS A380 which is beautiful. Till now I installed the Emirates and the Singapore Airlines Livery in FSX. The Emirates livery is showing perfectly But to have the Singapore Airlines displayed I need to uncheck the "aircraft shadows" option. Anybody have the same problem or maybe know what happen ? I think it should be something with the texture file which are not treated in the same way ? Thanks in advance for your help. BR Basile

FSDT KORD/Chicago Taxi Light Artifacts
Jim Young posted a topic in DX-10 Discussions, Hints and Help
I have not seen this posted yet. There's a lot of discussions on-going since the release of Steve's DX10 Fixer and it's hard to keep up on all the fixes. I just checked out FSDT KORD and there still is a small issue with the taxiway and runway green lights. As you can see the lights appear (they use to be covered with a grey or white block); however, there is some black remnants sounding each light. Just wondering if this is what others are seeing too. Perhaps I didn't configure my DX10 Fixer properly. Thanks. If this is what others are seeing I have no problems with it. At least you can see the green lights and taxi. Best regards, Jim -

For users considering P3Dv4.1, I can confirm that LINDA 3.0.3 is compatible when used with FSUIPC 5.121b and compatible aircraft. A2A C172 and C182 owners should note that there is an issue with the steering tiller not working on the ground. Other aircraft tested (ie. default B58 and F35A and PMDG737NGX) work fine. Please report any issues with LINDA here.

Hello, I just change my hard disc and installed Windows 10. But when I reinstall my best airliners PMDG Boeing 737 and I run FSX, the simulator doesn't run, I have a black screen, and the activation is not done. Is the Boeing run on windows 10 ? Thanks a lot for your friendly help and answer, best regards for all, Benoît

All LINDA users are advised that no compatibility testing with Windows 10 has been carried out with the new Windows 10 release with any of the compatible flight simulators (FSX, FSX-SE or P3D). I have no intention to change my working or development systems until the new operating systems is proven to operate flawlessly with my setup and development tools. However, if LINDA users have or plan to cross to the dark side, please report your experience and success/failures here. There is nothing I will be able to assist but it will help others.

Is there anyone out there using a Saitek x55 Rhino successfully with Windows 10 ? I was about to upgrade my Windows 7 system to something better but I have heard that there could be compatibility issues with the X55 drivers and Win 10. I have been very happy using the x55 and the thought of having to replace it at not an insignificant cost, along with the cost of a high spec computer, is tending to put me off. Can anyone reassure me that it will continue to work with Win 10 ? Barry Wells

Hi there, today I asked Don Grovestine, designer for several outstanding freeware Canada airport sceneries, how to convert FS8/FS9 static aircraft to full FSX compliant models. He answered as follows: .... I just realized I do have a solution for the "grey" static aircraft. While those static aircraft are FS9 scenery models derived from FS8/9 aircraft models converted with SAMM, the latest version of SAMM has the capability to convert FS8/9 aircraft to FSX static models. ....All the aircraft models used to generate the FS9 static model are listed at the back of the CYYJ and CYCD User Manuals. You can download SAMM from my website (http://stuff4fs.com ), download the aircraft and generate FSX models yourself to replace the existing ones. I hope this might help to solve one compatibilty issue. Wulf

FSX-MS Wilco/feelThere E-Jets with FSX and Windows 10
ndoynov posted a topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
Hello All So I was looking through Wilco's website today, and I saw that the E-Jets v1, the Embraer 170 and 190, were on sale. However, I'm not quite sure if it's compatible with Windows 10 because there was a spreadsheet on the Wilco website (link below) which claimed it was not compatible with Win10 and FSX-SE. I will NOT be running FSX-SE, so I don't know if will still work with regular FSX. Let me know what y'all think. Link to Spreadsheet: https://freedownload.s3.amazonaws.com/W8_1.pdf Thanks! -

Hello dear avsimmers I built my pc 5 years ago. The specs are Core i3 2120 1155p , 2x4GB DDR3 1333mhz Ram , Radeon HD6670 2gigs 128bit graphics , Gigabyte H61 MA-D3V mobo. I'm bored of compromising performance for graphics and vice versa and want to make some significant changes to run the P3D or FSX-SE smoothly with decent graphics. Here, I'm able to find used i7 2600k or 3770k in good condition as the mobo is 1155p and thinking about putting a GTX 1060 inside. But I'm pretty much concerned about the mobo as it's old and not sure if it could run these hardware consistently. and i know that it's like impossible to make a stable cpu overlock on a H61 chipset motherboard. So , should i go for it without worries or keep saving money to build an entire new setup which will take a long time tbh. And i need precise answers about the performance of AMD products for flight simulators especially P3D. Thanks in advance

Hey guys, Ever since I've transitioned to my new CH Eclipse Yoke, Saitek Combat Pedals, and my Saitek TQ, I've been having a hard time effectively transitioning from workstation, flight sim, and racing sim setups. I was considering the Saitek Wheel Stand Pro, since it would fit my Saitek gear, and I hope to get a Saitek Radio Panel soon to help with PE operations. I was wondering if I would be able to effectively clamp my CH yoke onto the "Saitek" mounting plate? My main concerns are the holes that are preinstalled for the Saitek yoke (which I think I can remedy by getting a X52 plate, which would remove the holes), and the thinness of the plate itself. Looking at the CH Yoke, I highly doubt that it would be able to clamp onto such a thin surface. I was thinking that it could be possible to fix this by getting few notepads and stacking them up until the yoke had sufficient "clamping surface height". Does anyone have any experience with the Wheel Stand Pros and has anyone ever combined it with a CH yoke (asking a lot, I know....). Any help would be appreciated.
