Hello Everyone. I am a M.Engineering student from a University in Canada. Our team is currently designing and building a fixed based flight simulator to be used for educational and research purposes. We are almost done building the rig, so now we need to choose a control equipment (yoke, throttle and rudder for now). For our test-bed, we used CH's FlightSim Yoke, throttle quadrant and pro pedals. But the built quality and the feel of the control did not meet on par with our standards. So researches were done, and we found some better quality devices, price ranging from $200 ~ $1350. Yoke One of the most important equipment we need to purchase. Here is the list of the ones we found so far. Saitek Pro Flight Cessna Yoke System $210 VRInsight Flight Master Yoke $400 Precision Flight Controls Cirrus Beech Yoke $620 GOFLIGHT GF-Pro Yoke System $750 Throttle There weren't as many choices as yokes, so we simply went with the concept of our simulator, which is mainly for general aviation Saitek Pro Flight Throttle Prop Mixture Module $150 Rudder Same for the throttle, I haven't found many variants, so decided to stick with this Saitek Pro Flight Cessna Rudder $210 So.. finally, my question is, of the four yokes above, which one do you recommend? Remember, it needs to feel and look as professional (real) as possible. Thank you in advance for your help!

Hey guys, I have been a long time viewer but have never posted much on the forums. However, I recently finished something that I thought I would share. Using a 3d printer, I designed these saitek replacement knobs that I custom modeled. I was inspired by the learjet 45's simplicity and style of knob, and I thought that would be a great place to start. Over about a month i managed to finish them and get the hang of using a 3d printer. The reverse levers rotate, but do not function in the flight sim for obvious technical reasons. Now that I have a replacement solution for my own flight sim, I have a few questions for the community: What do you think? Would you be interested in this as a product? Should I consider selling additional kits? Where would I post such a thread? Is there anything in the design that should be changed? It is just a thought for the moment, but I am interested in what you guys have to say to a potential ... say $50 vanity item.

Hi, I am considering buying fsx (I am an x-plane a really excited user) However, I do not have a joystick and I dont have the space or cash to buy a good or even a decent one. Therefore I was wondering whether you could control FSX using the ipad/iphone - i.e. an x-plane remote equivalent for fsx? I heard about a couple of apps but I will like to voice my concerns: FSXControl - Very laggy, bad design (+thrust/-thrust buttons - why not have a slider), and no AP control! AirTrack - No flaps/gear/thrust control These are the only two that seem remotely (pun intended) decent. Which one should I choose? I am currently thinking of getting airtrack but I want to know if you can control thrust and gear and all that before shelling out £17 on it. If you can help me - PLEASE reply! Thanks!

When using the SDK to control the 737NGX I experience strange behavior when controlling the MFD buttons such as EVT_MPM_MFD_ENG_BUTTON and EVT_MPM_MFD_SYS_BUTTON. When I send a control with parameter 1 the button gets pressed and the MFD changes, but when I send a parameter -1, the button is released but the function is activated again, resulting in another change in MFD. How should I properly release the button press without activating the function again? Thanks! Emile van Gerwen. (737NGX on P3D v2.5)

Good morning. I have flown the 747 just a few times without problem. I set up for a flight this morning and discovered that I have no primary control joystick input. I do have throttle control (set up and calibrated through FSUIPC) and tiller control (likewise) ... but no other controls. Strange. These controls work perfectly in other aircraft (NGX/A320/default cub etc). I have tried recalibrating through P3D. I have tried calibrating through FSUIPC instead. I have tried allowing FSUIPC to regenerate a new .ini I have the latest FSUIPC. I've checked the drivers, calibration and operation in Windows and re-booting/reconnecting the USB devices. Interestingly, if I operate the rudders when the airplane initially loads, the rudder pedals are operating ... but as the "systems initialisation" process occurs, it seems to inhibit joystick operation when the counter gets to about 3 leading me to think that it is something in that initialisation process that is causing the issue. I should stress that loading any other aircraft, including the NGX causes no problem. Any thoughts? I hate to simply reinstall things .. I'd sooner learn what the issue is and fix it if possible. Kind regards Nick Kidd

I have created the normal procedures checklist for FS2Crew's Airbus A320. It has the standard format of a real life checklist and even the airline logo. Please contact me if you want me to add another airline. Below is the URL with all the airlines I have created until now. If you wish, download the Microsoft Publisher file and add a logo of your own but please give me credits. Click here to download A320 Checklist
