Sorry if this has been covered but I'm a new member here and have not yet found an answer to my problem, so please be kind. I have been using X-plane V9 for about 3 years in an iMac and am fairly good at it, unfortunately the iMac DVD drive is a pain in the ***, I'm on my 3rd replacement. Is there ANY way I can run X-plane without a working internal DVD drive? I have an external drive, and a USB thumb drive. I'm not a Mac techie at all, although I was very familiar with DOS and Windows in the past. Thanks a lot for ANY help. fleigle

Hi, Like all of you here, I'm an aviation fanatic, I especially love private jets! I own an extensive collection of cockpit DVD's, but there doesn't seem to be much out there on private jets. So I am considering making private jet DVD's, and I'd like to know If people would be in such a product ? What do you guys think ?

Hi everyone, I need your help!!! This is a very quick poll, please take the time to reply, I would really appreciate it. If you can't answer the poll please just answer the Yes or No questions below. I would like to make a series of DVD's but before I spend all my savings I'd like to know if this would interest anyone. So I was thinking of making private jet cockpit DVD's, love private jets, own a large collection of cockpit DVD's but there just doesn't seem to be much out there about private jets. So my first question would be: Would you buy private jet cockpit DVD's ? Yes No My second question would be: Would you buy aviation related DVD's (other than cockpit DVD's) ? Yes No Anyone who wishes to give a more elaborate answer is more than welcomed, I would love to have your opinion! Thank you soooo much !!

So the question is how does a disc user update to SP1D? Mind you Here I'm talking about a website called flight4fantasy who re-sells the PMDG Aircrafts. One of my friends bought it from their physical store. Thus he is in a state of confusion on how to upgrade to 1d and obtain the Operations Center as he is very fond of the Poseidon . Hope there is a way . He has the original discs btw. Thanks in advance!

One of our SimFlite members has just come out with a new video on “Formation Flight: Basic Principles”. Being a L-39 Pilot in the real world he assisted in the development of the Lotus L-39. Some of our members are starting to use this “How To” Formation Flight: Basic Principles video to hone their FSX skills. Chuck is also teaching us how to fly Carrier Ops in formation as in the real world. Great fun if you have not tried it yet. If anyone is interested in obtaining a copy it is available at “Sporty’s Pilot Shop” and called “Formation Flight: Basic Principles” by Charles Kerber , MD, Flight Surgeon, USMC http://www.sportys.c...p/product/17808

Several install problems arose upon receiving my ORBX DVD . The install was difficult but , you guessed was my fault . I struggled with the registration in that my registration key was given openly- except at the Flight Sim Store . I expected a special e-mail , but going to my account at the flight sim store there was my registration key number . The problem I had was separating zeroes from 'O's , which I had guessed at mistakenly . Once I switched to zeroes all was well . I keep FSX on a separate drive . I had five gigabytes extra , I had thought , but I had forgotten about one or two additions to FSX , into the separate drive . Windows provides no means to adjust the partition size so after some attempts to load FTN BLU with no luck ; I used a downloaded partition drive tool and added about five gigabytes of space . That done Orbx loaded right in and all was well .
