Most of us know and understand how many important graphic and programming improvements have been introduced from FSX to P3Dv1, v2, v3... producing what now is a very stable and fluid simulator which I like and appreciate very much. But I would ask a question to simmers more expert than me: what if any evolution in the flight dynamics compartment has been made from FSX to the present version 3 of P3D? Flying in P3Dv3 an old but very good aircraft like the SF.260 by RealAir, born for FSX and never updated since 2007, I can barely see any difference... Perhaps there are some subtle changes one can notice on more complex aircraft like supersonic military jets or big liners... but on most GA planes I fly, I am not able to see differences... Am I wrong?

hi first time im posting something in this forum bur... im realitively new to FSX and obviously new to the whole tweaking. I have tweaked my cfg many times now and with addon scenery like kai tak ( Fly Tampa) im getting 9-12 fps with PMDG 77W. If my cfg or anything you need to help me get 20 fps or more in FSX, this will mean alot to me. Also I have heard p3d is harder on graphics card so should i invest in p3d with my pc setup or can i get what i want to get in fsx with your help -
Hello there. i am having a problem installing PMDG 747-400X in to my sim ,I have the gold adition flight simulator x Deluxe and ecceleration expansion pack. Now when I try to install it or run the exe setup I am getting a message that says i need SP1 or SPS with acceleration or an older version. the version of FSX that i have has scceleration and SP2.. why am i getting this error... please help thanks keith van der walt

Hello. I have a question about my newly purchased fs2crew captain edition voice version for 737ngx (fsx): After completing the flight I ask FO to "secure the aircraft" he runs the flow then I ask for "securing aircraft cheklist" and he reads it. After that the tutorial manual says that if I like I can start a new flight by pressing the "run PF" button in cfg menu. But if I do that nothing happens, the FO does say the "lets get ready for next sector..." or something like that but he does not start flipping switches and there is no fire bell etc. If I want it to work I have to first re-load a "cold and dark" panel via FMC and then press the "run PF" button. Why is this? Also sometimes when I ask the FO for securing aircraft cheklist he does not respond at all even though he has gone through the securing flow. Is this because I have forgotten something? And yes I have the English US Language package and I have the FS load aircraft in 2d AND I do have the Trike as default aircraft. Thanks in advance! Kaj Ekström

Hey all, just bought P3D yesterday and I love it very much already, but I cannot get the Russian Migration tool to work? I've trawled the forums and have found no definitive answer... btw, I change C:\Program Files\\Prepar3D v2 to V3 (because that's what I have installed) and it was slightly happier but still refused to work... thanks for the help all!

In the Flight Control Panel is the presentation of HDG and Altitude not correct. In HDG is 33. It should be 330. in Altitude is FT 1000. It should be FT 1000. In the PFD is the correct information. I useFSX and Windows 10 How to fix this problem?

Hello People, I have seen PMDG Aircrafts pointing the nose Up during cruize phase, is there a way we can level the aircraft after it reaches the Crz Alt ? Best regards..

Dear AVSIM community, after 5 years my computer is starting to lose its capabilities and becoming a lot slower despite cleaning it and even resetting it to its factory state. So I have decided that it is time to get a new PC. Doing research I found lots of forums and blogs discussing 'what PC is ideal for FSX' however the topics seemed to be outdated and not really answering my concerns... I don't know much about computers but this is what I was able to find and seemed to me price reasonable: NvVidia GeForce GTX750 T1 1TB HDD + 256 SSD Prozessor 3.56 GHZ Intelcore I7 DDR3 8GB RAM Windows 8.1 The Desktop is a Lenovo (an exhibition model) for modest 777EUR (~880USD) I use only Scenery and Traffic Addons, with traffic set preferably to 100% :smile: Currently I run FSX SE on my laptop which I think is not even half as good; besides the long loading FSX is performing surprisingly well and almost never lags. I would like to hear from you guys a second opinion weather this is pricely a good deal, or I could get for the same value perhaps something better? I have the impression that FSX will run reasonable well on the above mentioned system? What do you think? I would be happy to hear from you guys and take this opportunity to excuse my bad english (obviously it is not my first language ) Thanks in Advance -
so i was flying along in a2a cessna 172 and i wanted to take a look at the gps so i pressed and nothing happend so i tried the shortcut key for it nothing happend i right clicked around the screen and i found out that i could undock the gps so i presed undock it it popup. i tried with other aircraft the same hope u can help me! Hi there, so, just installing a posky B777-300 but I notice a 10 - 12 fps drop in cockpit view compared to default cockpit aircraft, anyone knows why, does texture compression may solve this problem? The C404 Titan has no OAT gauge. Silly, but true. I mailed Alabeo about this. They wrote back that they are aware of this, and promissed an update, whenever that will be. I did not like to wait (probably until 'forever') and solved the problem in my own way. I downloaded the Davtron 301 and 307 OAT. Available at this link. It took me a few emails with the author to get it working (partly a RTFM matters), but it works fine now. Like me, most simmers think that icing is not active in FSX, so why need an OAT? Only when you forget carburettor or pitot heat, you have to deal with that. That is not true, as I discovered. So I also downloaded an ICE GAUGE from the avsim.net library. Filename: ice_gauge_pop_up_mod.zip. Installed it, and tested it. The zip contains a txt-file describing everything one needs to know about icing and the gauge. Since my PC has two monitors, I use one of them for all 2D panels, the OAT and the ICE gauges. But even on a single monitor you can do it. Both freeware gauges make my Titan fly a lot more realistic anywhere icing conditions are active. Dirk
