  2. BudgetAir is a virtual airline with its main base at Amsterdam Schiphol (EHAM) airport focused on creating a fun & relaxed atmosphere for enthusiasts of Flight Simulation software in which they can enjoy their hobby. There have been hundreds of virtual airlines over the years. Many will be direct replicas of real world airlines, flag carriers and the like. They will be tied to the aircraft fleet, hubs and schedules of their real world counterparts. Our operations here at the BudgetAir are based on real world scenarios but as we exist only here in the virtual world we are free to use, extend and explore the whole world, creating a fleet that serves the diverse preferences of our pilots, schedules that encompass the very best in available scenery and destinations that bring a mixture of both the serene and the challenging landing at the world`s largest and smallest airports. As a Management Team we will provide you with tools such as premade flight plans to go in all the various aircraft type Flight Management Computers, our ACARS pilot reporting system and a host of other tailor made downloads to make your flights with us "as real as it gets". The choice of when you fly, which flight you want to undertake and even how long you want to "pause" it due to real world interruptions, is entirely yours. This is a hobby and we want you to enjoy it your way so maximum landing rates, pause times or fly "from where you land" rules will never exist in BudgetAir! We pride ourselves in welcoming member pilots of every level and diverse flight simulator choice. Most of our pilots use Microsoft FSX or FS9 simulators but we equally welcome those who have already migrated to Prepar3D and X-Plane. Our crews are made up of "old hands" with thousands of hours FS experience to literal newcomers taking their first steps in this fascinating hobby. They come from nations across the globe, helping each other and simply enjoying the BudgetAir community. However our principal motto we live by is "MINIMUM RULES - MAXIMUM FUN" All we ask is be helpful to others and most importantly - ENJOY YOURSELF! Visit us at www.budgetair-va.com
  3. Hello! My name is Oliver Mitchell and I am very excited to announce the developement of fsFinance. What is fsFinance? fsFinance (short for Flight Simulator Finance) is an online management system for your virtual fleet. It isn't a virtual airline as such, more of a system to track your flights. At the moment, we currently have 2 modes available - Career and Sandbox. Career: Career mode is where you begin with a set budget, and purchase aicraft. As a result of this 'set budget', you will only have enough to buy certain types of aicraft (Cessna's, not a 747). Use these aicraft to operate virtual flights and generate an income to buy more aicraft. Once you have yourself a little money, purchase the more expensive aircraft such as a Boeing 737 - This will increase passenger capacity, range etc. You can fly different airlines at once, remember fsFinance is all about what YOU want to do. Sanbox: Sandbox mode is known as 'Diving in at the deep end'. No budget. No restrictions. Simply operate whatever flights you wish, its up to you. fsEconomy will track your flights. At the moment, the website is coming along smoothly. This will form the backbone of the system before I can write the program to record your flights. In time, this project will become a first of its type, using a variety of tricks to enable the most groundbreaking features possible. This whole system will be completely Free, and best of all, this system is going to be UP TO YOU! Whatever features you would like, ask and thou shall recieve! What would YOU like to see in this? It's up to you! Over the years I have been a simmer, I have always noticed something has been missing. This will fill the gap. Any suggestions, ideas or just general ideas go to: olivermitchell.sec@gmail.com Blue Skies Oliver Mitchell
  4. The FSX Fleet is an extremely realistic virtual military! We teach our students what it takes to be truly great pilots. We have an Air Force and a Navy, flying such airframes as the F-15, F-22, B-1, C-17, C-5, VRS F-18 Superbug, and a custom E-2C Hawkeye. We also have an active Aerial Refueling Squadron, which flies the KC-10 and the KC-45. Refueling is part of standard Advanced Pilot training. We would love to see some engaged pilots enter our ranks! So, apply today at FSXFleet.com!
  5. Hey guys, Inspired by a fellow simmer (and former Lufthansa 747 pilot) who requested it, I've been working on the Lufthansa fleet. When I'm finished I'll share them with our community. I'll most likely make 2 packages to keep the file size down and split the fleet in half. I won't be including any special liveries for this package (the "50 Years" you see below is already in the library and won't be in the package, it was my 1st PMDG 747 paint). Here is what I have done so far.... Here are a few more pics of what you'll be getting: Reworked all the textures, especially the vertical tail, which now has custom shading painted in and adjusted colors (it looks very real IMO). You'll see the grime & wear around the cargo doors and a light application under the pax doors. White engine spinners.... White wings with accurate text placement of the warning text. I may have the 1st batch ready this weekend if real life does not get in the way. The package(s) will be zipped files with PTPs for each registration, so you can just install the ones you want...I didn't want to go the texture folder route and make you guys sludge through modifying anything to install the liveries. It was more work, but will make things much easier for you guys. This will be my first fleet paint, and since its my favorite airline and I had a special request for it, I thought after 15 years of painting it was time for me to paint a fleet.
