  1. HI I went for a fly today and found some nice foggy conditions thanks to REX4 but then noticed below flat 2d white areas. They exist at the same altitude and I can just about see through to the ground below. Can anyone explain how to fix this? Many thanks Mark
  2. I have Shade for FSX installed and have used it for a few years. I have noticed that the current FSX value for fog is not listed (whereas day light and shadows are) and it is a strange pinkish colour. I can change the fog colour in Shade and it works fine and the sky will go dark.. If Shade is not activated the sky in FSX will go dark at night. Restore Backup Values in Shade does nothing.. it is so long ago that I got Shade I cant remember if I did a Backup. However I recently got Active Sky Next and I cannot get the sky to go dark after sunset.. It is always a strange pinkish colour and the similarity to the current FSX fog colour in Shade is so strikingly similar that it must be connected in some way. Whem I turn ASN off, the sky will go dark. Is there somewhere in FSX that the fog colour value can be altered and if so, where / which file and location.
  3. I'm coming to present you my problem with FSX these last days which causes me some headaches... This happen with all my addons and only in Virtual Cockpit. Here we go: When the weather is good (no fog): Everything is OK. When the weather is bad (with fog): Everything goes wrong. If anyone has a solution.... Bruno.
  4. Hi all, I would like to share with all of you this new must have (in my humble opinion). It's a little utility that allows you changing the whole FSX's world illumination, shadowing and fog for all TOD (Time Of Day). It's awesome!! Watch this vid to see the environment's enhancement. Cheers!

  6. Hi everyone, I'd like to create this thread in order to regroup all the ideas this community has to improve FSW so DTG devlopment team can see all our expectations on one page. Having a team listening to the Flight Sim Community for creating the perfect sim is rare so I hope this thread will be useful for all of us. In order to keep this readable, your posts can contain 2 categories: - small improvments that could be implemented rapidly - big and long-term improvments (real world weather etc...) Please dont comment or discuss too much, keep it simple and readable, give your ideas that's all. Let DTG Team judge what is worth it and what can be done or not. I'll start: Short ones : _rain sound could be louder to feel and fear the elements :) (or be adjustable, the environment slider is currently not that efficient) _make a " visual smoke effect" if you look at the wings from the cockpit when flying through clouds to simulate the plane is REALLY in it. _make ATC speak faster like in real life _ Head anticipation in turns when taxi and flying (like in XP Realistic addon) Big ones : _ a "FSPassengers like" feature whith passengers screaming in turbulence (make us avoid the clouds) _Windows Voice Recognition for ATC would be awesome like in Tower3DPro _ ATC speaking with accents depending on which continent or country we fly
  7. Hi guys, I'm trying to figure out a solution for the problem as seen in the shots below. As you can see close to the horizon the haze or fog layer is cut off and somewhat tiled. I already did my best to break down the problem as much as I can and it does only occur when running in DX10 mode. The problem is especially noticeable in combination with ASN, which I run with default settings (except for cloud draw distance and visibility limits). ASN has an option called "auto adjust upper visibility" and it's activated. With this option disabled the problem seems to have vanished due to raising the visibility limit but of course the look and feel is way more unrealistic without. The next situation where the problem is very present is when flying through fog. I grabbed a screenshot (the second one below) from a thread in the HiFi forum, where a user is reporting that issue... but without specifying, if he runs in DX10 mode or not. A tool suspected to be the cause in that thread is Shade which I'm using as well. But I tested without shade (restored default FSX textures) - the outcome was the same. So I'm stuck here at the moment and requesting for help What else can I provide... ASN is configured with a maximum upper visibility of 115 and maximum cloud draw distance of 140. I fiddled around with the settings and also found out the the problem is present with visibility limits below approx. 70 miles. Anything above will be fine. I'm using exactly the Nvidia Inspector settings as per this thread: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/426219-proper-nvidia-inspector-settings-wiht-dx10-fixer/ Have anyone of you seen the problem as well? Know how to fix? Thanks in advance! Best regards, Hendrik Horeis
