Hi, I've been busy completing the new autogen lights for FS9 EVO. Almost done! The lights are integrated into the textures and thus do not displace autogen. They are also compatible with UT although I keep UT Road lights to the large roads for a better look and more autogen. The screenshots show day vs. night or dusk shots of the same area. Sascha

Hey Guys I;ve decided to create a Topic on Performance Tweaks for FS9 I just recently Installed FS9 On my older PC To Be honest it doesnt run that bad, Ive added alot of Scenery,Aircrafts. I read about a nifty tool that searches for Missing Alpha Channels in the FS9 Root directory and atumatically fixes them. Ive done that along with a few FS9.CFG Tweaks and i mus say it runs flawlessly. Anyhow the purpose of this thread,is for people to share there Most effective tweaks (MOST EFFECTIVE TWEAKS) lol or even New tweaks that has xchanged there Flight simulation expirience P;ease Share. My system Specs CPU/ Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 2.93GHZ Mother Board/ INTEL DG43GT Classic Series GPU/ AMD RADEON HD 6750 Series PCI Express SYS RAM/ 8GB RAM DDR2 Please Share;-) Happy SImming

Alright Guys, So ive used the new Head Tracking software FaceTrackNoir, I must say its a bit shaky....Well Good News I found a fix I actually got it from another Forum Site and it WORKS. Below are the download links to the files you will need to make this work. Its a simple procedure but please read it carefuly to avoid any mistakes. Downloads a (64bit_headtracker) http://sourceforge.n...ED.zip/download b (SeeingMachines headtracking Demo) http://www.faceapi.c...ad/register.php c.(FacetrackNoir1.50) http://sourceforge.n...01.zip/download 1.) Once you've Downloaded the ED API interface x64 dll package and extracted the headtracker folder (with contents) into the game's "bin" directory or Main fs9 directory stratup your FaceTrackNoir application. (NOTE: PLACE ENTIRE HEADTRACKER folder into your FS9 MAIN INSTILATION FLODER) 2.) load the DCS_A10C.ini file (its in the headtracker folder you placed in the fs9 directory) Use picture for reference 3.)Now once thats completed ajust your curves to match the graps below DONE: Have Fun

I've just finished re-installing FS9 in hopes my problem would go away, but it still exists. I am running Windows Vista Ultimate, 32bit and, was, FS9 on the SONY VAIO. My problem, default airplane or not, is once I load FS9 up for a trip, I am having issues switching between views like 2D, VC, tower etc...If I were to hit the 'W' key to switch from 2D to the six pack, the top of the panel shaves off a bit, the glare shield usually. If I were to rotate to a six pack view, and then switch to a different airplane, I can rotate through the various views mentioned above just fine, like normal. If I were to go back to the 2D, six-pack mode and cycle through to the 2D panel again, the problem arises again. If I try to go to the outside view from the get go from 2D, I know it's on the outside view because I can hear the change in noises, but the 2D panel still shows. If I switch back inside, the 2D panel remains, but all is frozen, gauge wise...ie if I push the throttle in, it's not resembled in the 2D throttle being pushed in or a change in RPM. Seems the views have a mind of their own. The relation of sound to view isn't matching, like inside view, but you hear outside or outside view, but you hear inside. It's all a bit difficult to describe and I've not ever once seen this problem before in all my years if FSing. Any suggestions and help greatly appreciated...trying to avoid resetting and re-installing everything and making this a new computer again...argh! lol On a semi-related issue, because I don't if it is or isn't, but I now get texture flickering. I didn't notice if before un-install when the above issue began happening, but it does it now since re-install. Even the text at the bottom left about your brakes being set flickers, but only when zoomed in on the A/C from the outside view or when in VC mode only if the propeller is spinning. (In this case, the default C182.) Also flickering on the outside when zoomed in, A/C shadow, lens cover for landing/taxi light and windshield.Flickering outside not related to the engine running or not. Again, I would love ANY help and ideas before having to re-install Windows and going from scratch! lol -

Okay so I want to fly and IFR flight plan and I go the way points and set them in my GPS. But ATC gives me headings instead of allowing me to fly my route. Are the headings I get corresponding with my flight plan? Should I just use the headings or just use my flight plan? Help!!!

Ok, so I read up on this yesterday, and it could be quite good for simulation. It's not intended as a replacement of a mouse or keyboard. it demonstrates in 2 games, how it can be used, and it could have face recognition. If it will, would it make it better than TrackIR? Video demonstrating it here: It's not out until Q4 2012, so we have ages to wait, but It would be really cool, considering it's the size of a flash drive/pen drive!! What do you think about this?

Hi, I recently downloaded a freeware addon scenery for the City of Kuala Lumpur. However, some of the landmark buildnings from the default scenery is still there, leaving duplicates of e.g. the Petronas Towers. I wonder, if possible, how do I remove these "old" versions? Kind regards, Johan

Hi guys,I am new here, and would like to begin by saying how useful I have found these forums to be. I have only recently become interested in flight simulation, and am currently using FS9 on an old PC with severely inadequate spec. Over the next while I am looking to put together a PC that will give me far better performance, but on a relatively tight budget. I was under the impression that a half-decent FSX rig was going to be way out of my league, however after reading through a number of very informative posts on this forum, I have decided perhaps I could obtain reasonable FPS without completely breaking the bank. I am in the UK and my budget is around £600 (approx. $900 USD).I am not currently familiar with over-clocking, and have never attempted building my own PC, but I am fairly technically-minded and am sure with a little research I will manage just fine (hopefully!). I am assuming that over-clocking will be necessary to achieve better results? Here is a list of potential components based on my research thus far:CPU: Intel Core i5 2500kMB: ASRock H61M/U3S3RAM: Mushkin 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1333MHzGPU: GTX 460 1GBHDD: Seagate Barracuda ST500DM002 500GB SATA 6.0GbpsDVD: ASUS SATA 24x DVD BurnerPSU: Corsair 500w 80PLUSCase: Cooler Master HAF 912 with 2 x 120mm case fansCooler: Stock cooler included with CPUIntegrated sound and ethernet with motherboardAll of this comes to around £575 (based on Amazon UK prices). Is there another place you would recommend to purchase components?I will be using only one monitor (for now) at around 1680x1050 I guess. I have a few add-ons and will likely purchase more, eg. iFly or PMDG 737 and some scenery etc. Am I likely to achieve reasonable FPS from this rig at this kind of resolution? If FSX is going to struggle, I may end up sticking with FS9 but it would be great to be able to upgrade. hey everyone, I'm new, from Australia. I fly FS9 because I haven't been sucessful in getting FSX to run on my computer smoothly. Might try again soon though. Anyway, I've just gotten into PMDG and am wanting to fly a simpler plane then the B747. I'm going well trying to learn the b747 but I'd like to try something simpler before continuing to try to learn. I'm very close to getting the b1900c but was looking at the 737. I know it's been discontinued but it's still available in the extended download. My question is: Can anybody download whatever is in the extended download service on PMDG, or do you need to have purchased the original product beforehand (meaning that I won't be able to use the 737)?
