  1. After seeing all the threads and pictures about the iniBuilds A300, I took a flight on one to see what was the fuss about. But that was during my holidays, I only had my laptop and FS9, so I had to do with HNAC: Not bad for an ultraportable laptop.
  2. Hello all, I'm one of the later migrants from Windows 7 to 10 and dragging FS9 to the next gen with my new computer. As seen in this video, I am having some really annoying audio mix. I'm trying to find a solution but have yet to find one, has anyone got a fix or a link on how to fix this? *******CAUTION*********** The audio in the attachment is loud to showcase the issue, sorry headphone users. :) Thanks, -Mike
  3. Hi everyone I have the PSS 757 (bought from Just Flight as 757 Professional) and have decided to reinstall it after a few years without using it. Everything works fine, except for a small detail: every few seconds, my FPS "spike" down - I'm locked at 60 and they go down to 50. This doesn't seem much, but it's enough to cause a noticeable stutter which is very annoying. I've tried with lower fps locks, but the same happens (40 going to 30, etc). I searched around for similar problems and fixes (removing the VC, lower EFIS settings, etc) but having tried them there is no change, so I'm assuming they're not causing the problem. Also, the spikes happen in every view, inside or outside. Has anyone had and was able to fix this problem, or might otherwise suggest an approach to fixing this? Running FS9 (of course ) in Win 7 64-bit, ATI 5870 card, latest FSUIPC and AIRAC cycle. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers Antonio
  4. Does anyone know if there is an expansion pack for the FS9 PMDG 747-400. Looking for the 747-400F add on. I see some new paints on Precisionmanuals but not the Base pack of the 747-400F. Let me know.
  5. I've installed Win 10 along with Fs9 on two laptops and 7 months later this still isn't fixed. The bug when you are in full screen and you it the alt key to bring up the menu and the whole screen goes dark, if you want to to get to the menu you have to go to windowed mode first. Well this just won't do. Especially if youre running FSNavigator. Win 10 basically breaks Fs9. Any fixes for thia? I'm going to cross post this in the FS9 so hope that's ok. I need to find an answer to this.
  6. Hi, here are some screenshots from my All American tour with an old DC-6 (correct, not the DC-6B). Perhaps you have followed my route from Europe over the Atlantic to Alaska; here is the sequel. Starting in Anchorage, Alaska Somewhere over the Pacific xxxx happens (note engine #3) All four working again Near the Californian coast Going transcontinental: Pikes Peak Near St. Louis Landing at San Juan, Puerto Rico, after crossing the southeastern US and Florida San Juan - Maiquetia From Venezuela to Colombia At Villavicencio, recently home of some old propliners. Today, only an old Antonov crowds the apron. To Ecuador - over the Andes Couldn't resist to re-open old Mariscal Sucre airport in Quito... ... where, in my sim, some regional flights and/or defunct airlines as well as some heritage planes still operate. I hope you have fun! Regards, Harald
  7. Hi! I just switched from FSX to FS9 and I am LOVING the performance gain so far! I could barely get 10 fps in high density scenery areas in FSX, and in FS9 I am getting over 30 fps. The only thing I miss is the accuracy of the roads in FSX. In FS9 the roads can only be made out when you're above 1000 ft, and I don't believe they are accurate to the real world locations. I saw a program called Ultimate Terrain USA for FS9 advertising that the roads are in their real world locations, but the program doesn't have much publicity and most of the reviews I find are for the FSX versions. Does anyone know if the road accuracy is true and if it's worth the upgrade to UT USA? Also, how was your performance impacted? I am just able to keep above 30 fps in big aiports and anything lower than around 20 fps would be a little bit of a drawback. Any screenshots of UT USA FS9 would be GREATLY appreciated! B) If you need more information, I would be glad to add it! Thanks! Adam System Specs: Model: Satellite L775D Processor: AMD A6-3400M with Radeon HD Graphics 1.40 Ghz (2.3 Ghz Turbo) Installed Memory (RAM): 6.00 GB (5.48 GB usable) System Type: 64-bit Operating System
  8. hey guyz is there any payware for airbus A380 for fs9 just like the PMDG???
  9. Hi there, i just tried the Flight1 Cessna 172R on my FS2004. I follow the described procedures and also looked at some 172R Videos on Youtube, where the fuel pump was clearly audible. But i cannot hear the fuel pump in the Flight1 Cessna 172 (although according to the Instruments, the fuel pump works). Is this a bug on my Installation or is the Sound simply not simulated? I'd like to hear of your experiences. Do YOU hear the fuel pump on this simulated aircraft? Thanks in advance Bodo
  10. After taking a 16 month Sabbatical form Flight simming. I have put fs9 back on my new computer and found that I have been away for way too long. I am now having to relearn all the little tips and tricks I use to know. After some trial and misses I am getting the hang of it again. I do have a couple of questions to ask thou 1. Is there still addon and other freeware/payware being made for fs9 or is it all FSX stuff now. 2. I need to get fsbuild back up and running. How do I get the updates for it. Serial key no longer accepted. What :( ) Thank you for your time and patience. Denis Davis BVA1920
  11. Hello, I am aware this is a recurring topic for many users. I have searched the last four days tirelessly on this forum, and another approximate 15 forums. I am having no luck. ISSUE: When loading FS9 it gets to the Splash Screen then stays there. I have to CTL ALT DEL out of it to stop the program. This happened 4 days ago. I exited the program because I was upating some scenery files in my library (again nothing that was a new addition that the program had not had before at some previous point) and I exited the program and when I went to start it up it just stayed at the splash screen. Sometimes it will load the scenery files then freeze, other times it will just freeze right away. I have tried the following things: System Restore Read and tried all of these suggestions from MS http://support.microsoft.com/kb/837195 Verified DirectX is up-to-date and not missing files Checked for problems with my NVIDIA Card and tried to update it but was unable to. Deleted/Replaced/Renamed FS9.CFG Attempted to modify some of the entries in the FS9.cfg that were previously reccomended. Tried the NO CD replacement of FS9.exe, that one cant find the program. Tried the flight1 registry repair but it cannot find my FS9.exe. I know where it is, the repair tool can't find it. Tried doing a hard boot in safe mode on my computer. Used the event viewer to try and see what is going on and it has numeruous DLL file error reports. No new software was added anytime near the vicinity of the start of this crash. Also the most recent add-on items worked fine for several weeks up to the crash. Other Items of Note: Re-installing is not an option for me. I can't find the other 3 disks anywhere. For some reason I am now getting a message that "Weather.dll is not working properly but other features will be available, the following feature will be disabled". - Still after getting the weather.dll message above, it just stays on the permanent splash screen like normal. I am SO desperate for help here. I don't know what to do. As I said before, I don't know where my other 3 discs are to re-install the game. If I had them I would have re-installed from scratch without a second thought. I know this sounds crazy and lame but this game has been such a huge part of my life the last 9-10 years and I can't imagine what I am going to do not being able to play it anymore. It's extremely depressing. Every night when I get home from work at the airport I go straight to FS9 and start up a flight. I AM BEGGING SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!
  12. Nice aircraft to fly.The Yak-40. B)
  13. Airwego is a UK based Virtual Airline originally formed in 2000. Our schedules see Airwego aircraft fly to destinations in both the UK and Europe from bases at Humberside and Bristol Airports. By some standards we are a small virtual airline in terms of the number of aircraft we operate and the number of destinations we fly to but...we are big in experience terms with a management team with over thirty years of Flight Simulation & Virtual Airline experience! Over this time we have come to appreciate that there are many types of virtual aviator of varying skills levels, time available to dedicate to the hobby and a infinite number of hardware and software combinations. However they all have one thing on common and that is to enjoy the hobby and have fun!. ...and fun we have had in our past... Airwego opened for virtual operations in March 2000. Planning and designing the virtual airline had started a few months earlier. While the name “Airwego” may sound strange at first it came about during a late night conversation between Ian and Richard. After several hours of brain-storming on several topics the subject of the what to call the new virtual airline came around. There we several suggestions from Lionwing Airways, Air Chester until Ian’s quizzed his daughter on the topic and the reply came back “Here we go" which very quickly morphed into Airwego! With this important piece of the planning in place a website and fleet livery could be designed! In 2000 web designing technology was far less sophisticated than it was to become. Automated flight reporting, fancy gizmo’s showing who was on-line or on-line voice communications…no…none of that. A counter showing how many visits to the page was pretty much the top of the tree in terms of website design! A early version of the website and the infamous 737 - "Purple Ronnie". But gizmo’s and fancy websites don’t make a virtual airline…the pilots do! So with a management team of three and a handful of pilots, who had left the global “we fly every aircraft ever made aren't we grand” airline, to stick with Richard, Ian & Bernie Airwego opened it’s doors and took off on a grand adventure in the virtual skies! The original policy of Airwego was to be a relatively simple operation with a sensible aircraft fleet and interesting list of destinations. Manchester Airport was the principle base but flights also operated from Liverpool and Humberside Airport. Destinations in the UK and Europe featured using Boeing B737’s, Airbus A320 & ATR42’s but with the expansion of the management team to include the legendary Steve “it wasn't me” Chase and Danny “where’s the runway” Cleavely the resources were in place to make Airwego more dynamic and unique. Steve’s passion was helicopter’s. With a day job as a helicopter engineer at Humberside airport he was in a very envious position which gave him a great insight into the daily operations of a airport and more importantly one that service the gas and oil fields located in the North Sea. With this in mind Steve was tasked with creating a scenery package for Humberside and also with replicating helicopter operations in the virtual world for the benefit of those virtual aviators who wanted their wings to rotate! Steve duly delivered a superb scenery for the airport and a virtual rotary operation that was supported with excellent repaints, detailed missions & schedules and program of constant development. Can you guess what we called it….VertiGo! The 2002 version of Steve's Humberside Scenery. An early version of the VertiGo logo. By early 2001 the management team of Airwego was settled with Richard taking the role of CEO (so pompous) Ian looking after the Aircraft Fleet (also assisted by a young creative chap called Adam), Danny dealing with new recruits and publishing press releases, Steve running VertiGo and a very smart fellow by the name of Chris Dale looking after Flight Operations. Alongside the introduction of VertiGo the fixed wing operations of Airwego also moved forward over the next couple of years with the introduction of long haul flights (and the 747), a special holiday charter livery called Sunspots, AWG Shuttle flying out of Humberside to small UK regional airports, a small Caribbean “retro” operation that flew the DC3, DC8 & Twin Otters and for a short period of time a small cargo division called..AirWeCarGo! The divisions of AirweGo. Despite the expanding operations the management team always kept the pilots point of view in mind when making any decisions with these decisions often taken at the Annual General Meeting – the AGM. The AGM was the opportunity for the management to meet up somewhere in the UK for a weekend and spend several hours of a Saturday afternoon discussing Airwego and deciding on what was working and what was not. A lot of progress was made in these meetings usually motivated by the fact that a night out had been planned on the back of it which would involve a meal and a few drinks. The following day would involve a aviation focused activity with notable tours around Humberside Airport, a few hours at Duxford Air Museum and aircraft spotting at Birmingham Airport. Times change and Airwego did. More depth was added to the operation with ready made flight-plans available, the Airwego Schedules recreated in Flight Simulator as AI traffic, the livery was updated, some automation of the daily flight reports and also personnel changes. Derek Jones joined the team after Danny moved on after several years of loyal service as did Richard with the expansion of his family. Ian assumed the reins of Airwego and continued to guide it very professionally for several years but the demands of the virtual aviator changed and newer, slicker virtual airlines appeared that slowly eroded away at the pilot bases of long established virtual airlines. Tragedy struck when Steve passed away which inevitably saw the closure of VertiGo. Airwego carried on until 2013 when through a combination of events the management team could no longer sustain the operation. Danny & Richard had remained friends after leaving Airwego and flew together with several virtual airlines but never quite felt the old magic. A conversation and the discovery that Brian Mason (ex Airwego pilot and now operator of Channel Express Virtual Airline) and preserved what remained of Airwego from 2013 sparked a idea that perhaps Airwego could be restarted with Danny & Richard at the helm. Brian was very supportive of the idea and assisted with repainting aircraft and using his contacts in development of the website. In the background Danny & Richard began to prepare for launching Airwego in the Autumn of 2014. So here we are. We have tasked ourselves with making being part of a Airwego as fun and enjoyable as possible! Please visit our website, Facebook or Twitter pages for more information. www.airwego.org.uk https://www.facebook.com/airwegouk https://twitter.com/Airwego Thanks for reading!
  14. Hello, on today flight to EGLL i was approaching Great Britian when the black screen has appeared. I've windowed fs and then put it back to full screen... black screen wasn't there any more but textures were blurry and some even missing, also sound wasn't running. Shortly after that fs has crashed with classic "The application has encountered...". I know it already has been here on forum but no solution. Is there any? Thanks. EDIT : Yeah and it was for the second time.
  15. Did this flight 4am local time, Here are some shots of the sunrise. http://www.vataware....cfm?id=13078647 Hope you enjoyed the photos, more to soon come, till then Take care.
  16. Out of the blue, FS9 refuses to start. The splash screen flashes a fraction of a second, then FS9 closes. There is no BSOD, no error message, no event in the Windows event log. It seems to just exit cleanly. The task mgr shows FS running for a couple of seconds. I have made no (known) changes to my FS since my last flight. What I have tried: - restore Windows to a point prior to my last good flight - disabled all non-stock sceneries (although it does not get as far as renewing the scenery index) - deleted FS9.cfg. A new one is indeed generated but with 0 bytes. - removed SweetFX - run another FS9.exe that I had backed up when installing the 4GB patch - malware scans My next step is to try in Safe Mode... if I am ever able to access Safe Mode in W7! Has anyone perhaps encountered this and found a solution? Thanks, Phil Windows 7 64. FS9.1. Nvidia
  17. Hi all! So I downloaded Megascenery Pacific Northwest for FS9. It installed properly and everything. Everything was done with admin permissions. (I'm running windows 8). However, its just not working. Like, its just not working. I load up at Tacoma and its all default and nothing has changed. I've messed around with the scenery library and it won't do anything either. I'm pretty much at a stand still. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks for your time and help! A. Ford
  18. I've been away from simming for a while and just came back. Nothing has changed in my computer. I loaded Fs9 and then selected a PMDG 737-600. I downloaded a flight plan from simroutes. I was able to get the FMC to recognize the FP and then proceeded to program the FMC. WRONG! It took about 1-2 minutes for every transaction to be loaded. Constant hangs. After 30 minutes, I gave up. I reinstalled the PMDG 737 package to see if that would help. Nope. I can fly the plane without the FMC but thats no fun. What the heck is going on?
  19. From now until the end of April at Just Flight we have reduced the prices of over 30 Flight Sim Add-ons to just £4.99 / €5.95 / $7.99 Many people ask why we don't include boxed products in sales and many people ask why no FS2004 products. So, every product in this sale is compatible with FS 2004 and a good number work in FSX too. Take a look now: http://www.justflight.com/category/boxed-bargains You have until the end of April to take advantage of these ridiculously low prices.
  20. Hi guys, does anyone have a AFCAD which includes the ILS for VTBS? The defult scenery didn't come with ILS, which, as you can imagine, is very frustraitng when trying to approach such a big airport, it would be very beneficial if someone PM'd me with a AFCAD with ILS
  21. hey everyone, I'm new, from Australia. I fly FS9 because I haven't been sucessful in getting FSX to run on my computer smoothly. Might try again soon though. Anyway, I've just gotten into PMDG and am wanting to fly a simpler plane then the B747. I'm going well trying to learn the b747 but I'd like to try something simpler before continuing to try to learn. I'm very close to getting the b1900c but was looking at the 737. I know it's been discontinued but it's still available in the extended download. My question is: Can anybody download whatever is in the extended download service on PMDG, or do you need to have purchased the original product beforehand (meaning that I won't be able to use the 737)?
