  1. EDDS Stuttgart Airport will release tomorrow (Monday) on RDPresets website, Contrail, Simmarket and Flightsim.to. An in-game Marketplace release will hopefully happen a week later.
  2. Germany West Airfields is a collection of 22 small GA, ultralight and glider airstrips in the western part of Germany. Installation: unzip into the community folder To see the objects, please install the free World Updates from the MSFS Marketplace https://darshonaut.blogspot.com/p/msfs-2020.html |Büllingen|EBBN| |Hinterweiler|ED25| |Morschenich|ED30| |Bergheim|EDIO| |Düren|EDIR| |Emmerich|EDIS| |Gustorf|EDIT| |Stolberg|EDIV| |Heiligenhaus|EDJD| |Mönchsheide|EDJY| |Krefeld|EDLK| |Wesel|EDLX| |Köln|EDP9| |Wershofen|EDRV| |Hoherodskopf|EDUR| |Düsseldorf|EDUU| |Langenfeld|EDUX| |Kerken|EDVV| |Weilerswist|EDYV| |Schalkenmehren|EDZO| |Venlo|EHVN| |Naunheim|EXOA| One airstrip is fictional and two are located in the Netherlands and Belgium, directly across the border to Germany. Most of these airports used to be available in earlier versions as separate downloads on a widely used shareware portal. I now made a single installation out of these and they can be downloaded from my website.

  5. Hi! There have recently been some changes to the freeware scenery Muelheim Ruhr X. It has been modernized and it has been polished up with the current technical possibilities of modern scenery design. First, long-planned texture optimizations were made. Then a new airport layout was created, which has differentiated material properties. In addition, a newly developed and animated Zeppelin was integrated into the scenery. The term zeppelin is actually not correct, because this type of airship is called Blimp. The software package includes seasonal objects such as umbrellas, blimp and hay bales. The scenery is rounded off by the new Avatar Steven. With it you can explore the many details of the airport very well. The scenery can be downloaded as usual without registration from the Bahrometrix download page. Barrier-free download: P3DV4 Mülheim Ruhr X V1.15 New features / changes - seasonally controlled objects (in-game) WDL Blimp parasols Bale / Heuquader Plants / Planters - Color correction of the airport orthophoto - Layout with differentiated material properties - current ground markings - Texture optimizations - New Avatar Steven All features according to P3DV4 SDK specifications, the seasonal objects are based on the in-game possibilities of the P3DV4. Pictures ... The new airport layout contains current ground markings All surfaces have different material properties, the markings and the asphalt surface reflect differentiated solar radiation. In addition, the asphalt surface was created with a rain-mirroring effect. the stronger the rain, the stronger the effect The new avatar. His name is Steven The hay bales, as well as the umbrellas on the terrace, the blimp and plants are seasonally controlled The plants and parasols are only available in the summer months The Blimp is animated and flies a 45-minute flight over the Essen and Muelheim - it's a new development at Bahrometrix The sightseeing flight of Blimp also takes place in the evening
  6. Hello. I would like to inform you briefly that there is a new freeware, it concerns the airfield EDGT Bottenhorn in Germany (Hesse). EDGT Bottenhorn Download Manual Bottenhorn If you use the FSX or the P3D v4, you can download the scenery directly from the download page. Prior registration is not necessary, the downloads are all barrier-free. The P3D v3 version is offered as a zip archive, please send me an e-mail here. For the first time in one of my scenery there are animated animals: The Bahrometrix Living Animals. They will complement the animated people (Living People). The deer included in the package runs around the airfield, so please be careful during takeoffs and landings The avatar Gerhard included in the package got new animations. In addition to new animations for swimming, walking, running etc, a tiger jump was programmed into the avatar. Many thanks to the test team and the photographer who provided his photos from the Bottenhorn airfield to the project. Without these great people, Bottenhorn would only be half as good! Pictures from P3D v4 Pictures from FSX Features - ORBX color-matched orthophoto 15cm/px with all seasonal variations - Volumetric grass with seasonal variations (switched automatically) - Seasonal buildings and objects (switch automatically) - All buildings of the airfield with many details as well as static objects - Dynamic lights with natural shades (warm white) - Slopeed runway, adjusted to 19m mesh setting - SODE-controlled wind objects (wind turbines and wind vanes) - sporadically occurring deer on the runway and the terrain - Soundscape in the form of natural sounds - Controllable avatar Gerhard - Animated People (Living People) - Animated animals (Living Animals) - Self-created Aerodrome Chart and Visual Operation Chart - Scenery Configurator LITE from 29Palms Scenery Design Orthophotos: (c) Office for Soil Management Marburg 2018
  7. Here are some photos I took this afternoon. Started in Sierksdorf (EDXT), passed EDCW (Wismar), headed for my hometown Rostock and landed in nearby EDCX (Purkshof). Suddenly, the engine stopped. I had forgotten to switch on carb heat. Working again. Finally, a shot of the city center: The city is all freeware OSM and groundphotos. The position, shape and size of 90% of these buildings is incredible accurate. I could tell you exactly which house is what.
  8. ... because they haven´t been populated with buildings...YET. Hi Everyone, As most of you will know, most airports in default X-Plane are just barren runway, taxiway and apron layouts of various quality. The basic level is just a runway and a default, computer generated taxiway. A more realistic layout will only appear if someone worked on and submitted a better layout to Laminar Research for inclusion in the database. For a while it has been possible to enhance these layouts with objects from Laminar Researchs´ object library, submit them to LR and have them included in the database for everyone. These are called "global airports" and not very many are there (YET!) If you want to see one already included, go for example to EDHM Hartenholm airfield in northern Germany. For years X-Plane users have circumvented this problem by creating, uploading and downloading "custom airports". Some are made with custom 3D Objects, but most are using the vast library of OpenSceneryX or RuScenery to make the airports look good. The downside of this approach ist that to see this custom airport you have to: A.) Know about this and know where to find these airports B.) Download them one by one, C.) Download and install the corresponding scenery librarys correctly. As a result, most novice users are greeted by the "barren airports" problem, and many turn away from X-Plane in disgust (LAX and no buildings? Really? In 2014?) To help with this, I have set out on a crusade to populate the X-Plane world with correct airports, using ONLY the default library objects. The scope of my project is to provide all airports of Germany with an ICAO ID, plus some smaller glider-fields and most fixed helicopter landing sites (hospitals, etc.). I will upload these airports (roughly 600 of them) to Laminar Research once the new scenery-gateway-website goes live. In the MEANTIME I provide these packages, state by state, for download and manual installation. The idea is to get some feedback and bug-reports from users before I upload to LR and make them available to ALL X-Plane users. Do these airports replace real "custom" airports? In most cases no. But download and see for yourself. The content can be found here: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?s=96a9383aef4627d348bcd1fc9be1f988&app=core&module=search&do=user_activity&search_app=downloads&mid=56718 The corresponding thread is here: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=73235 I would also upload the scenery packages here at avsim if there is interest, I already registered for uploading stuff, but the whole process seems to be a bit intimidating to me with the strict rules about documentation etc. I am currently working on "Nordrhein-Westfalen", the package should be done in a few weeks. All the best, Jan
