Testing out this gorgeous and highly detailed new Airbus H160 Helicopter from Hype Performance Group--what an amazing addition to the hangar! Starting out on the corporate ramp at the equally beautiful new KMSP from Flightbeam, across Minneapolis to Crystal Airport near Brooklyn Center. Leaving there it was back down across the city and out into the fields to stop for the night and set up camp!

While perusing Google results for helicopters one evening, I stumbled on this company's website, RotorWay International. For a very respectable price, around the range of 98k, you can have yourself a fun DIY project and a pretty sweet two seater helicopter to fly around in your free time.http://www.rotorway.com/index.phpSome specs I pulled from the site:http://www.rotorway.com/talon.htmlWould you consider the homebuilt route if not for a helicopter, then with another aircraft? Why?If I had the money and the time, I definitely think I'd go down the homebuilt route for at least one of my aircraft. Whether or not a homebuilt would be my first purchased aircraft is entirely up to my budget, lol. I believe there's a high level of respect for an item not only when it's your money that bought it, but also when it was your hands that built it. Same concept for someone who built their own house. Not only would you value the aircraft more because you hand built it, but also any maintainence issues should be a breeze (being you built it and know the in's and out's of it) right?

Hi allToday I'm appealing to your knowledge as I'm struggling to find a solution. The problems is that every helicopter, default or payware, turbine or piston are experiencing CTDs after some minutes of flying (2 or 10, practically random) and I don't know which the problem is. On the other hand I don't have problems with any other aircraft on FSX as they are working perfectly. I've tried to use FSX repair function but the problem persists. I hope I could find a solution. My specs: MoBo: Asus P5Q Pro|Processor: Intel E8500 OC 4.2 GHz|Memory: 4 GB Kingston HyperX 1066|BFG Nvidia 9800 GTX + O|SB X-Fi Xtreme Music|FSX Pro + Acc (SP all)|WIN7 64 Thanks Jcmmg

The Dreamfoil Schweizer S300CBi Revision1 is now available (the chopper only came out last week). There's a great review at Helisimmer where it's one of the top rated helicopters there and scores slightly higher than the DCS Huey (which I also love). If you are a virtual chopper pilot, then do yourself a favour and check it out. I nearly passed up on this one because it looked so insignificant ... boy was I wrong, it's a ton of fun to fly and great for honing basic helicopter flying skills.

Does anyone know how to get the winch operating in the Cerasim 365? I have tried the usual Ctrl+U, J, K, O, and nothing happens. Turning the upper panel knob to "winch" or "winch/cargo" does nothing. If anyone knows how to get this operating, I would really like to know. Thank you.

Hey guys, recently I started down the long road to becoming a professional pilot. I've been looking for a decent piece of flight sim software to go with a sim-chair I'd like to purchase with a friend of mine. My question is to the heli pilots; does the r22 perform in P3D as it does in real life? So far I've been completely unable to find a sim that is even reasonably close to actual flying in a helicopter. Take On Helicopters, FSX, FlightGear, etc... all seem to be based on the idea that sensitivity = realism, and that's just not the case. Helicopters are twitchy, and they do require very subtle control inputs, but none of the aforementioned sims even come close to the feeling of a real R22. I know P3D is based on FSX, and that the visual improvements are significant, but honestly I couldn't care less about the visuals if the flight model doesn't stack up. I know P3D comes with an R22 model out of the box, has anyone with significant R22 flight time had a chance to fly it and compare? I haven't found any posts on this or any other forums, and a pretty thorough google search has yielded nothing. I know the aviation world doesn't care much about rotary pilots, but there's gotta be someone with some r22 time who has flown P3D... Any information would be great, thanks.
