There are quite a few programs that cannot find my FSX.exe since I installed it onto a different place than the standard C:/Program Files (x86)/Flight Simulator X When I launch a program to install (such as PMDG 777 installer), it asks me to manually navigate the installer. How do I manually navigate an installer? Very thankful for any answers

For those who posted about having an error when installing we are sorry for that. We find this happens to only a couple of users and we are not sure on why. Most likely your are getting a 2026 which means blocked from malware... The installer needs to talk to our server so we suspect this is being blocked. Or there is a temp file getting blocked that gets added to the windows temp folder. So turn off any 3rd party malware or make and exception rule. We found malware bytes is an issue and this has been confirmed.

Well that ended poorly.... :/ Went to update Prepar3D from 2.3 to 2.4, let the installer do it's thing then walked away for a few minutes and when I came back AVG had this to say about the install it just did. It proceeded to remove the Prepar3d.exe along with about a half a dozen OCX and DLL files across my PC. No virus detected in the installer package so I guess this bug was just waiting for the right action to spring the trap. Wow it wiped out my Prepar3D, two of my voice packs for VoxATC, several OCX files in the System64 directory... I like how AVG didn't even ask me it just said DO IT! -_- Well... guess I'll be spending HOURS installing 18 add-on airports, all of MegaSceneryEarth, FTX Global, PMDG, ASN.... -_-

I just purchased the Gtn750 and installed it. The Garmin Trainer works fine, but the 750 shows a black screen. I installed it into an AFM Mooney Ovation II that was already set up for the 750. When I was installing, I got an error message "could not move file rxpGtnSim32.dll. I tried various times and thinking it might have had a problem with my antivirus program, I turned that off and tried again. The file error still happened. I typed Ignore and went on with the installation, but of course I get a black screen. Could you send me that file and I'll drop it into it's place? Thanks...

Hello; After a clean install of Windows 10 and Prepar3D, I have downloaded the installer for VAInterface 2.22.1. However when the installation starts it asks me to turn .NET Framework 4.5.2 on. I checked the Turn Windows Features On or Off options but there is no .NET Framework 4.5.2. Additionall, when I try to install .NET Framework, Windows says I already have the newer one. So can somebody tell me how to downgrade .NET Framework or how to install VAInterface with 4.6 Thanks Mehmet

With the pending release of an updated version of P3D, AVSIM members who have problems installing 3rd Party Software into updated versions of P3D should contact the vendor for instructions on how to install the software. In most cases the vendor will have to release an updated installer. Please do not use these forums for discussing how to modify a 3rd Party addon to make it work in a later version of P3D. When the new version of P3D is released, it may take some time for 3rd Party vendors to create an installer for the new version. We recommend you keep the current version installed and install the next version in another folder if you would like to continue using your addons. Most likely addon vendors will have new installers or instructions for installing their product(s) soon after the release of the updated P3D version. Some 3rd Party vendors may charge a fee for providing an update to their respective software for installation into later versions of P3D. If this is the case, it could be against the vendor’s EULAs or license agreements for you to attempt to install a current version of their product(s) into a later version of P3D. Discussions regarding those vendors that require a new EULA and/or installer for V3 will be prohibited. Photos and video: Photos and videos showing 3rd Party Software whose EULA would be violated for updated versions of P3D will be removed at the discretion of our moderators. If 3rd Party vendor's software can be installed into later versions of P3D without modification then this information will be allowed and can be discussed. Otherwise it will be removed. Please use this forum to discuss the update to P3D such as installation problems, P3D configurations, display driver configurations, and issues such as those relating to FPS and Virtual Address Space (VAS). Once the 3rd Party Software products have been updated for use in later versions of P3D, you can then begin discussing the addons. Thanks to everyone for your cooperation.

When trying to go through my set up process for the GTN 750 of which I just got I try to go through the setup thing and I have no clue what to do when it asks me, "Setup will create the program's shortcuts in the following Start Menu folder". It has RealityXP already put in but I have tried that and a bunch of different folders and I don't know which one I am supposed to use.

Hello, I have a question regarding the McPhat repaints ( are we allowed to discuss that here..?) I have watched the YouTube video in which there is supposedly a key to unlock a file (AA Repaint) that requires an installer which I can't find. (Hope that makes sense) I've registered on the McPhat website, but alas... It looks so good in the videos and I want it badly ! Any help/info is appreciated MUCHOS GRACIAS PS: I'm having a hard time understanding why the process of downloading McPhat liveries for the NGX has to be so difficult
