  1. So I have a 767-300 that was some free ware. The only issue i have had with it is that the Jetway does not attach to the plane correctly. I can't seem to figure out whats wrong in my CFG file. This is what I have for it. exit.0= 0.10, 62.600, 10.000, 7.000, 0 //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency) The jetway seems to go behind the door towards the back of the plane and it is always behind the door. Help please?

Whist at the gate I press control J to have a gate come to the PMDG 777 however the gate only comes a few meters from the entry 2 door, it comes nowhere near the door. Is there a fix for this? Thanks, Arun
  3. Hey guys hoping everyone is having a good day. I am on P3D V4 and when i land at airports with GSX level 2 jetways i get stutters which last 2 to 3 seconds when the GSX level 2 jetways load. Does anyone know how to make the jetways load earlier or to completely remove the stutters from the loading jetways before landing? I've tried disabling GSX and then enabling it again but when i click enable GSX after landing it takes a very long time to become available again. Thanks
  4. Hi, In AFX, is there a way to install moving jetways? I was making a new airport but the jetways do not move. I have the jetways inside the green gate area and I also have advanced animations checked but they still don't move. I also tried using the instant scenery jetways but that did not work either. Jetways at other airports work by my addon ones do not. Thanks to anyone who can help.
  5. This question applies as much to FSX as it does to P3D but in the absence of a general forum I think this place probably gets more visitors. Are moving jetways important to you? If you fly a passenger jet then I would hope they are. All part of the realism eh? I'm asking because it seems most of my Aerosoft Mega Airports don't have them. I spent a while at Dublin yesterday trying to get them to work using CTRL+J. The ones provided in that package look very nice so it's not unrealistic to expect them to move. But try as I might I couldn't find any that would. So I posted the question on the Aerosoft Mega Airports forum and Mathijs replied saying there weren't any for Dublin. That's down to the designer apparently. So why go to all the trouble of creating them if they serve no purpose? We have memory-hungry 3D grass for realism but not moving jetways. Hmmm. But checking other airports supplied by FSDT, LatinVFR and UK2000 there are several jetways that respond to CTRL+J. Prices for those airports are similar to Aerosoft's so it can't be that difficult to make them. Maybe Aerosoft have a vested interest mainly for FSX in them not moving. That way you are more likely to buy AES credits. I might be wrong but it's just a thought. I asked Mathijs why they don't have moving jetways on many of the Mega Airport range and he said it's down to the developer. The way they attach to the fuselage can look quite bad sometimes which is why they don't bother. They are available for Heathrow Xtended. I'm not aware of any others but happy to be corrected. Should they be standard on 3rd party airports? And would you not buy the airport if they were not included?
  6. OK, so admittedly I am VERY late getting to the FSX game, as I only just this year finally built a computer worthy of FSX and moved up from "9". I am able to run it with all my sliders maxed and still get reasonable frames (20 or better) at even the most-dense add-on airports with my iFly737 or MADDOG MD-80 with the help of all the FSX tweaks here in these forums (thanks, Nick). However, I am not able to get the animated jetways to "come to me"...EVER. I've searched all the forums and Google, of course, and many refer to making sure the aircraft.cfg has the proper coding...so I have back-tracked to trying the DEFAULT 737 at several DEFAULT airports, with no luck. Engines off, doors open, parking brake set, beacon off, seatbelts sign off, loaded the flight from scratch so the plane would be set at the proper spot (still no-go), then fiddled with the parking location...no joy. The jetways DO go to my AI aircraft when they are at the gate next-door, and I am very envious of them. So I tried relocating to their gate (because I know that jetway works/moves)...nope, nada, nothing. Like I stated , I have all my sliders maxed, including advanced animations and airport ground traffic. The cute little push-back tug shows up when it's time to go, and animated loader and bag-cart DO come over to my aircraft when I open the cargo doors, but nothing happens when I press "CONTROL+J". During my tweaking (be nice), I have edited both the "controls.xml" and FSX.cfg files, and my thought (ok, fear) is that I've possibly lost (ok, deleted) the "Control-J" setting code...however, I looked back at my saved copies (yes, I have them!!) of the originals of both those files from the clean install, and can not locate any reference to "Control+J" or "CNTRL+J" or the like. If I could find one, I would be able to copy it to my modified files and be good to go. Sooooo, my question is, does anyone know where the reference to "Control-J" is located and what it may be, so I can see if it's present in my current file? Is it hard-coded into the game? A side note...if you look for the coding for "DOORS" (ya know, the SHIFT+E and "SHIFT+E+2" codes) in the xml file, it is not in there either....the only way to change the door settings is in the game itself...but it HAS to be in an edit-able file somewhere....probably right along with the "CONTROL+J" code that I can't find... Ideas, help, tea???
  7. I am new to the Forum and have found Jetways wont attach to Abacus A380 and Airbus collectors edition. They will attach to FSX own aircraft. I am using UT2. Any help would be appreciated.
  8. I was unhappy with the jetways in FSX aligning (or rather mis-aligning) with the beautiful new 777, so I made a small tweak. On the Z coordinate in the Exits section of the aircraft.cfg file, change the 12.X whatever PMDG entered to an 8 and you'll be much more pleased with the vertical alignment. The jetways will no longer jump into and hang in mid air to meet the deck - they align pretty much right on (as far as appearances go). Now, the only remaining issue, and I'd appreciate some help from someone more enlightened is the default jetways are a bit short to hit the 2L door. The FSDT KDFW jetways are fine and still checking a few - but default jetways in FSX simply don't have the reach to hit 2L. Any thoughts?? It's not a problem when I'm coming in, as I can simply pull in further to avoid the issue, but starting from cold/dark, most airports see the issue.
  9. Good day, I know it is a old airport, but i had the 2 jetways one on the other with AES, i succeded to remouve one by deleting jetway in scenery folder. but i still have floating jetway signs... how do I remove them ? I had the solution in the past but I cannot remember now thanks for your help :)
  10. Hello! I have an issue with GSX level 2: in many default airports (for example Paris CDG, Prague, Manchester, Lisbon, Budapest, Denver) jetways and parking positions are placed 50 feets above the ground, as you can see in the picture. Follow me car works well instead. How can I fix this issue? Thank you.
