I currently own all of the PMDG products (except the upcoming DC9) and I have an age old question concerning the MD-11. The rumor mill still has the MD-11 as a proverbial logic bomb for PMDG products and I want to include it in my hanger... but if it still causes errors within FSX to the point I have to wipe ALL my entire FSX drive, I rather leave it where it is - as a executable zip file from PMDG. Has PMDG addressed this issue long ago already and the latest updates will not have any effect on the sim, or is it still what many are saying what it is? I have tried running the MD-11 a while back after I had bought the 747-8i and I had to repair the entire drive... thankfully almost all my software were re-downloadable, I had to pay for another extended plan from PMDG to get my aircraft from them again.

Hello everyone, I've been flying for Mediterranea Virtual Airlines, an Italian VA for over a year and I've recently fallen in love with this splendid aircraft by PMDG. I would be extremelly grateful, and I'm sure so would be lots of other members of the VA to anyone who will attempt a repaint in the livery of Mediterranea, well, I should probably say theme.A few examples can be found here http://www.mediterra...angar/index.htm and any improvement on the theme to make it look less plain or else is more than welcome!!!! Thanks very much in advance! PS please let me know if you take on the task on this forum! Matteo Capocefalo, MED1473

My PMDG "career" has started nearly 1.5 years ago, it's about time for this post. I started of with the JS41, enjoying it but soon feeling I need a plane I often fly with as passenger, so I soon got the NGX, followed by the expansion pack. As I felt that I want to get into heavies too, the MD11 joined the fleet. I fly all of them a lot, and last week I bought the 777. Why not? If it doesn't work I have it ready for better times when I have a decent desktop. But now, after turning down a few settings I totally enjoy it. None of the other planes gave me the feeling of flying a large plane and "being there". I already flew her into the most complex scenery I have, Aerosofts Approaching LOWI, and landed without problems. FPS on final approach was just above 10, but stutter-free, making good hand flying possible. This was certainly better than with the NGX, where I had to switch to the 2D panel. On important thing to note is that I'm not a "HD" simmer. I have no problem with a few "blurries", low autogen settings and default sceneries and clouds. If you can think like that as well and have a similar system as me, I'd say go for it. Hope this helps some people who are unsure about getting the Triple Seven  . Thank you PMDG for giving me such a great time with your products. I wish you nice holidays, merry Christmas, and a happy new year, hopefully beginning with releasing the "real" (sorry about that, I just prefer long airplanes) 777 when it's ready.

I am wondering, when is the JS41 coming out for fsx steam edition? The reason i ask is because on PMDG's website it says in february, was that february 2015/2016, or is it february 2017? I have been waiting so long for JS41 steam edition, i am literally everyday searching for "JS41 steam edition" in hope of finding a new status update on that plane. Yes i know that converting the 777 took more time than expected, and then the development on 747v2 got in the way, same with DC-6, but you've actually been saying in an update back in early 2015 that it just awaits testing, and then you've said this in march 2015: "Pending Updates for the J41: Beta testing the J41 has taken a back seat to the changes we needed to make to the NGX and 777, but will resume shortly. Unlike the NGX and 777, the J41 isn't getting a significant code update, so it is a much simpler test process for us- as it primarily is just an installation validation process. We hope to have that released to you soon as well!" [sOURCE] PMDG i know that "resume shortly" possibly means 2 years to your ears, and that you dont like giving a release date for anything, that's not what i am asking, isn't it possible for you soon to give us a status update on, maybe how the 2 year beta testing is going?? You know what i mean... I am tired of hightech 737 planes and triple-7s (not that i dont like them, they are absolutely great, i am just kinda missing something else to fly at the moment). Plus i read the 400 pages FCOM that you guys made (absolutely awesome FCOM btw.) just to find out that i couldn't play it on fsx steam edition xD. I hope you guys hear what i am saying, i simply want a status update, not a realease date, and i wouldn't care less if you say the same as you said in the other updates . However "primarily just an installation validation process" honestly doesn't sound like a whole lot of work (but what do i know ) Best regards: Tor Jakobsen

SO today on IVAO i flew a nice route from EDDL to EDDM, THEN! At EDDM the weather turned out to be sh*t, and it started to rain, then this happened: https://gyazo.com/0f5045ac994a43f83071ae1be849d22d (dont asked why i parked the plane at the cargo area...) I had no idea that JS41 had windshield raindrop effects, and even it doesn't look very realistic, then its still better than nothing, and this plane just went far up my list of favorit planes .

So as the cold autumn weather sets in around here, I thought about doing some island hopping around the many small islands of Greece in the JS41. I was looking to add more realism to the adventure by flying in the livery of a real world operator, but alas was unable to find one. Could one of you please point me in the direction for a livery of Sky Express (ICAO: SEH) or at least a greek operator? If one of our talented repainters would decide to make such a livery, that would be most appreciated, too. Thank you in advance for any help Regards

Yesterday in my last attempt to fly the Jetstream (ended in engine melt down at the blocks) when I tried to program the FMC I encountered a few problems. The manual says that after the INITIALIZATION screen one should press ENTER three times and it will switch to another page, the Flight Plan page. Well, I did so and it never changed, it was stock at Initialization. I don't remember what I finally did to move to another page. The other problem was that my departure airport (MPRH) was not found in the database! I was left with the dilemma, forget the hour of checklists done so far and start all over or go on without FMC. I opted for the 2nd option. So, what can I do if my departure airport is NOT on the JS41 database? how can I still program and use the FMC?

Well, still haven't managed to take off the JS completely from Dark & Cold because the engines flame out either right at startup or at the moment I advance the throttle to begin taxi. Until there no joy. If on the other hand I just start my simulation with engine running I have no flame out problems, just configure the rest and I can start taxiing and take off, go through cruise... But then... either earlier in the simulation I get problems with random flickering of parts of the screen (only with the JS41) or sometime during flight the simulator crashes. Apparently FSX doesn't like if you go around zooming/panning/clicking, if you do then the dreadful "waiting" cursor appears and it is GAME OVER. quite frustrating when it happens. Other than that I love the aircraft.
