  1. 50% off ALL Golden Age Simulations vintage aircraft for P3D and FSX! A few of the latest aircraft are shown below - you can see the full range on the Golden Age Simulations pages The sale ends at 4pm (UK time) on Friday 9 September
  2. JustFlight have released a brand new set of screenshots previewing their new AI traffic software, Traffic Global. Touted to include the latest airliners in service including the Boeing 787, Airbus A350 and A320neo, the software will use flight plans generated from real-world schedule data to provide worldwide AI traffic coverage. As well as showing aircraft models and some well-populated airports, the screenshots posted on the JustFlight website also show the user interface, with options to edit schedules and flight plans and the aircraft fleet, including models and tail numbers.
  3. Hi All I downloaded and installed the just released JustFlight F-111 and while the model looks great (especially the RAAF liveries), the sound in my opinion is a big diasppointment. I am no F-111 expert, but surely those Pratt & Whitneys should sound a lot more "awsome" than what is presented in the initial release. Another think I noticed is that if I want to taxi from a standing start, I have to jam the throttles to around 50% before the jet begins to roll. Once it does, it accelerates far too quickly and before I know it I am taxiing way too fast. If I bring back the throttles just a bit (and I really mean just a bit) the engines go to idle and the plane loses speed and comes to a stop. Iam finding it extremely difficult to maintain a reasonable taxi speed. Anyone with similar (or otherwise) thoughts on this jet ? Cheers
  4. Hi folks, So, i have the wanting for a 767. I currently have the CLS 767, but after the NGX and the QW757, it seems a little, well, Lame. I'm not saying i hate it and its awful etc etc, but what i am saying is, that its not as good as i remember, and not as proffesional as i want. This, then leaves me with two options, the Level-D 767 or the Captain Sim 767. I have seen many threads with, " whats the better one" however, can i get someone to sum up these points, that, i have either missed or has not been said: -FRAME OK-FRIENDLY (i manage fine with the NGX) -Numerous "Modern" Liveries (newer, circa 2012 etc liveries being made, whether on the website or available on the Avsim library) - Accurate FMC systems like the NGX (so, things such as creating routes, waypoints, SID/STARS, N1 limits...you get the idea) -Good,small features, like on the NGX (All doors can be opened, pushback customisation, (directions etc, )maybe ground vehicles?) -Accuracy all round! -A workable, pleasant VC Thank you, and, just to re-emphisise, i have seen many threads to this, but, most things i require to know i have missed with my poor skills of skim-reading, or have not been mentioned.
  5. Just Flight informed us today that they were taking pre-orders the English Electric Lightning F.6 for FSX. Here's what they had to tell us; "The only all-British supersonic jet Fighter/Interceptor was built for speed, and this F.6 collection captures perfectly the awesome presence of this iconic aircraft. The Lightning package includes seven RAF liveries and a Royal Saudi Air Force F.53 variant, with a detailed VC featuring the distinctive ribbon airspeed/Mach indicator, radar scope, functional annunciator banks for all major engine systems and an accurate fuel tank gauge array which includes the unique Lightning flap tanks. The models feature numerous accurate animations, deployable braking chute, ground equipment and over-wing fuel tanks - experience Mach 2 for yourself in the amazing Lightning!" You can find this product at the Just Flight site here.
  6. As many of you, I was highly disappointed after I bought the Douglas DC-6B from JustFlight. Graphically it's fine, both outside and in the VC, but it suffers from poorly modelled systems, highly unrealistic engine performance and bad sounds. With a few very simple modifications, you will have a completely different aircraft. It seems to perform more or less as the DC-6B is supposed to when it comes to performance. I'm personally into advanced aircraft with complex systems like the A2A Boeing Stratocruiser, and even after these modifications the DC-6 will be a bit on the simple side system-wise. Even so, I highly enjoy it. If you own it, I really recommend you to try these fixes! Make a backup of the aircraft.cfg, sound.cfg and panel.cfg file just in case something goes wrong. We are going to modify these. Open up aircraft.cfg in WordPad or another text editor. Find the "electrical" section of the file. Add the following line directly under the last entry of the "electrical" section: electric_always_available = 1 Find the "piston_engine" section of the file. Modify the line "max_design_mp" so that it reads max_design_mp=61 Modify the line "emergency_boost_type" so that it reads emergency_boost_type = 0 Optionally modify the line "fuel_air_auto_mixture" so that it reads fuel_air_auto_mixture = 1 This will simulate the real aircraft's "auto rich" setting and make power management much easier during climb. However, you won't be able to lean mixture during cruise. This may lead to slightly lower range. Save and close the aircraft.cfg file. Download and install the Pratt and Whitney R-2800 soundpack by Skyhigh Audio Simulations from the Avsim.com library. Read the readmy carefully! Download and install the Cockpit Sounds V2 by Daniel Gauthier from the Avsim.com library. Read the readmy carefully! That should be it! Note that you will have two versions of the DC-6B, Domestic and International. You will need to apply the above fixes to both to see the improvements in both versions. Good luck, and let me hear what you think!
  7. Hello, I'm having problems with the traffic 360 from just flight. I can't download the file finder from JF to find the files because the administrator doesn't care about the problem and blocked me to download programs from JF. Now I need help to manually find the fs9 ai files and disable them of delete them. Any Help???
  8. Can someone please do this Livery on the PSS 777-300 ER? It would mean alot to me thanks!
  9. I didn't see this posted yet so I thought I would give a heads up. Not my preferred developer, but it looks better than anything we currently have. I have been waiting so long, I would take anything that looks decent. http://www.justflight.com/product/l1011-tristar-download
  10. At last! Thanks to my winning the Just Flight Christmas comp, one of my (free) purchases was VFR scenery for the north of England. Freemesh X went a long way in getting my neighbourhood terrain realistically shaped, but now the area is fully recognisable, as is the Gliding Club of which I'm a member. The airfield track, Fiddlers Lane with its hedgerow Ignore the Loach, I just wanted to strap on a helicopter for a good view.
