  1. I thought some of you might be interested in this new LUA file that is available for the TFDi 717. The hard work was done by a user called @Skipy, who used the FSUIPC event logging to gain all of the MCP's FSUIPC Event IDs. I just tidied up his work in progress and tested it in FSUIPC. As long as you own FSUIPC Registered version, with this LUA script you can assign keyboard commands to the 717's MCP - all functions work (mode buttons, -/+ knobs like the heading knob, etc), with the exception of the PROF button. This should also help users who use hardware such as the GoFlight modules, that can work with keyboard commands. http://forums.tfdidesign.com/index.php?/topic/731-here-you-go-lua-script-for-the-717s-mcp-attached/ Cheers.
  2. Just thought I'd start this topic just for fun. I'm using Cherry MX Blues myself, the keyboard pictured is the wonderful Deck Francium Pro. Tenkeyless is awesome. Post pictures of your own if you like.
  3. Hello, I recently got FSX and configured my yoke and my throttle quadrent etc. I then closed fsx for the day came back the next day and everything got erased. I know this is not supposed to happen. I was wondering if any of you could help me fix my problem. P.S. Im kinda new to Windows so if possible explain kinda "slow" Thanks, Xplosion
  4. I have a gaming laptop that does not have a "pause" key -- so was unable to use Active Pause (which is very useful). Since the pause key does not generate a 4 place scan code, it cannot be easily remapped. Programs such as smartkeys will not do it. I cannot fit a separate keyboard into the space....so I spent $24 to purchase a six button item on Amazon that will generate six specific keys or key sequences. Its software is VERY easy to use. I now have it programmed for ENTER, ESC, HOME, END, PAUSE and one other item--but it could be used for an key or combination. The pad is tine and it can be pressed by touch. The company that makes it is iKKEGOL, and it is called the Mini-Button 6 Keys User Defined Keyboard. I am going to use a second to set other functions as well.
  5. Hi there, just started using the pilot2atc demo the last couple of days, however i've started running into this issue whereby upon alt-tabbing from the pilot2atc window back into MFS2020 midflight my mouse cursor will sometimes not reappear in the flight sim and my keyboard becomes unresponsive (in the sim). I can alt tab back to any other window (inc. pilot2atc) and my mouse and keyboard is working fine. Interestingly, my joystick and its buttons would still function normally in the sim, and the sim continues to run normally. It seems as if while im in the mfs2020 window, my mouse and keyboard gets "left behind" on the pilot2atc window because in trying to get my mouse and keyboard responding in the sim, I was randomly clicking all over the place and must've inadvertently clicked on the "say it" button as I triggered the co-pilot making a request. In one instance, I was able to get my cursor to reappear after alt-tabbing back and forth and clicking randomly around the pilot2atc interface, my keyboard was also functioning in the sim again. However I was not able to reproduce this solution in future instances. I also think the problem seems to occur if i alt-tab right after I interact with a popupable window in the pilot2atc interface such as the config menu, the radio frequency input popup window and the grammar help popup. I tried alt-tabbing back and forth continuously without using any of those and the problem did not appear but as soon as i start interacting with them, a few alt-tabs in and the issue occurs. I guess an easy solution would be not to alt-tab as much, but since im a novice to atc coms and readbacks, I alt tab alot to use the grammar help tool etc. Any help is appreciated! 🙂
  6. It is possible to configure Active Pause to another key/key combination using Keyboard configuration: Controls>Keyboard>Menu>Toggle Active Pause. I chose Cntrl-Shft-P. Be sure you have the Filter set to "All."
  7. Hi guys, I have returned to simming MSFS after several years absent, encouraged back with the new release, however I am getting somewhat frustrated by an often unresponsive keyboard particularly with Shift Ctrl H, Z, R. I have read lots of threads on various sites mostly over a year old but no definitive solution, conflicts with other software such as NZXT etc. I watched a You Tube video and noticed that when activating the buttons the sub menu shows the keyboard commands, with me it shows the mouse commands only. My keyboard is recognised as other keys do work ok. Is this a software issue/conflict or am I simply doing something fundamentally wrong? Any help will be much appreciated. For reference I am using a Saitek yoke and at the moment most settings are on EASY.
  8. Hello! I just bought x-plane 11 and I find it absolutely sublime apart from the view controls, which I can't seem to get working. I initially got x-camera and installed that in the plugins folder, but when I tried to use it the camera twitched annoyingly and I found it hard to read the text in the cockpit so I disabled it. But now that I'm trying to work with X-plane 11's default view controls, I find that they don't function at all in 3D cockpit view. I set up key bindings in the "view/manipulate view" menu, but when I try to use them nothing happens. Do you have any suggestions as to what I might try? Thank you in advance!
  9. I have the need to reassign keyboard keys 1 and 2 for use in Aerosoft's A329/A321 Checklist selections. Therefore, I reassigned Selection 1 to Key 6 (which lists in the RC Keyboard.dat file as 54), Selection 2 to Key 7 (lists 55) etcetera through Selection 5 to Key 0 (lists as 48). I reassigned Menu Page Right to "CTRL" plus "=" (lists as 699) and Menu Page Left to "CTRL" plus "-" (lists as 701) and saved and restarted FSX as required. Running RC, I noted that "CTRL =" is displayed as Menu Page Right and creates a Page Right, but "CTRL 1/2" is displayed for Menu Page Left and there is no "1/2" key on my QUERTY keyboard and the "CTRL plus -" press does not create a Menu Page Left. Going back into RC Keyboard reassign page, the "1/2" is listed. Changing it to "-" again and saving and restarting FSX results in the same condition and looking in the Keyboard reassign page again shows the "1/2" still listed. Apparently in the RC Keyboard.dat file "701" equals a "1/2" key and not a "-" key. I have tried other dat file numbers around 701, like 700 is a comma. Does anyone know the correct code (other than 701) that I can insert in the Keyboard.dat file, so that RC displays "CTRL -" as a Menu Page Left selection, or knows what these code numbers stem from? John
  10. First of all, with MouseClicks you can solve many common problems. Just try with a Lua-Script to Start or Close Engines for the PMDG NGX 737 or try to open the Terrain MAP + Terrain Height on the ND Instrument in automatic. With MouseClicks you can do it. MouseClicks will be available very soon. When MouseClicks Hook-System is activ (intercepting Keyboard) you can still use the Keyboard for other Functions that are not assigned to a Click-File. MouseClicks in NOT connected to any Game or else. You can use it for any Game or else. MouseClicks is including a "Key.txt" File with 47 special Keys/Char you can change for different Keyboards. MouseClicks is executing like the Pilots Hand is moving. Create MouseClicks Files This example is a ClickFile for PMDG NGX 737 The Pilot movements for selecting the Terrain-Data on the ND-Instrument. It seems complicated but it isn't. 1. We create the MouseClickFile or only a Keyboard File Show Terrain_On_Off on the ND Instrument. --- From any actual View switch to the 2D-Panel {F10} --- execute Keyboard Keys --- MouseClicks are executed on the EFIS Control Panel like a Pilot would do. Selecting the MAP ND-View, Selecting Terrain Height(click on center-knob) then click on [Terrain]. --- The ND Instrument is now showing the Terrain Display with the Terrain-Map and the Terrain-Height if both are selected/included. 2. a) We add (View 1) a Joystick-Nr or any Joystick Button Combination. B) We add (View 1) 1 or several Keyboard Keys or Key-Combinations; normally we use a) or B). Joystick number-values are assigned in automatic using 1 or more Joy-Buttons together. 3. With View (2) we can execute any File using the Mouse > click on a Filename. If a File is connected to the Joystick or Keyboard we can execute the File with View(2) or Joystick or KBD. Joystick connection 262144 - Terrain_On_Off is executed. DOORS Using a pure Keyboard File without Mouseclicks included. In this example we open the 2. Door. 1. Door opened (Shift + e) 2. Door is using (Shift + e) then, the delayed Key {2} FSX in Full Screen Just select the Keyboard Keys and save with View (1) Execute as separate File or within another File. Execute via Joystick or 1 Keyboard-Key only or just click on the FileName - View (2) Engine + Lights on Overhead Panel (shift + 6) - From any actual View you switch to any other Panel or Overhead in automatic. - ENGINE Start - ENGINE Stop - Overhead Panel is Fixed. - Execute each Mouseclick x Start or Close engines. Mouseclicks open Switch Covers, click on Switch, close Switch cover. Keyboard Keys a included within the ClickFile. Mouseclicks are executed in sequence like the Pilot Hand is doing. Intrasystem .
  11. Hello I just got the Airbus X Extended and i am using a keyboard and mouse for controls. But during the after engine start checklist it would ask to check left and right rudders. When i press "0" or "Enter" on the number pad to move the rudders they would move but slightly but it will force the rudders back to normal position. then i tried moving the throttle with "F1 F2 F3 F4" keys on my keyboard but i could only move them to idle and in to reverse thrust. I do not know if i should buy a joystick and rudders or if i can fix the problem with the rudder and throttle. with out buying anything. So if anyone can help me Fix my problem i would very much appreciate it. Happy Flying!
  12. After launching ChasePlane, the keyboard lag and I could hardly type with my keyboard. But if I quit ChasePlane, keyboard works fine. Using Corsair k70 RGB. Fixed by experimental version
  13. Hello everyone, I'm not sure where this topic goes, so I put it here. I have HidMacros which I use to map a keyboard to fsuipc mouse macros. Everything works great, when I push a button, the switch moves back and forth. What I want to do now is disassemble the keyboard and connect toggle switches instead of keys to the circuit board, in hopes of building a full overhead panel. I use the PMDG 737NGX (fsx). However, to set a toggle switch, I have to deal with the always on (key always pushed down) or not on (key released) For the code I have now, if I hold down the key, simulating a toggle switch in the on position, the switch always moves back and forth, as a result of the code I have. HIDMacros.SetFSUIPCString &H0D70,40, "PMDG737:aaab" Thats it. (the aaab) was a name I used to test the function and is assigned to equip cooling through FSUIPC. I will set more comprehensive names later. How can I adjust the script in order to use a toggle switch? Thanks very much in advance, 1251452 Also, if anyone knows a way to interface the cockpit annunciation lights to a home cockpit, I would love to know.
  14. Hello, I've been using fs2 crew button control for a few months but now all the sudden my keyboard commands arent working. My keyboard works with fsx just not with fs2 crew. I don't know how to fix this or why this happened.
