FSDreamTeam have released preview images of their upcoming Chicago O'Hare scenery for Prepar3D v4. In a post on their Facebook page, the images show detailed modelling of the gate areas, control tower and other 3D objects. No timeframe for the release has yet been provided publicly. -
FSDT KORD/Chicago Taxi Light Artifacts

I have not seen this posted yet. There's a lot of discussions on-going since the release of Steve's DX10 Fixer and it's hard to keep up on all the fixes. I just checked out FSDT KORD and there still is a small issue with the taxiway and runway green lights. As you can see the lights appear (they use to be covered with a grey or white block); however, there is some black remnants sounding each light. Just wondering if this is what others are seeing too. Perhaps I didn't configure my DX10 Fixer properly. Thanks. If this is what others are seeing I have no problems with it. At least you can see the green lights and taxi. Best regards, Jim -
Upcoming Pro-ATC Session; 9 Feb 2013 * SKY CONNECTION ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY PRO-SESSION * Come celebrate ONE YEAR of Sky Connection by attending our anniversary Pro-ATC Session starting at 1900CST on Saturday 9 Feb 2013. Session will run based on traffic until 2100CST. Default Aerodrome for the session is Chicaco O'Hare (KORD) Service provided: Ground and Tower at KORD Ground and Tower at KGRB (Greenbay) Radar Services (Arrival, Departure, Center) at MILWAUKEE Center Aerodrome charts and approach plates are available at: http://www.faa.gov/airports/runway_safety/diagrams/ In the area marked "Airport Identifier" enter the icao airport identifier (KORD or KGRB) and then select "ICAO" from the drop down (by default FAA is selected), then click "Complete Search" Upon joining the session, check the chat box for frequencies and session specific instructions. Pilots wishing to fly outside of KORD airspace are required to file a flight plan in the chat box, and obtain proper airways/clearance from Clearance Delivery PRIOR to taxi. Just wondering if anyone else has seen a long (2-3 second pause) at FSDT KORD and if there is a solution? It ONLY happens at night in my PMDG 777-300ER. I went to FlightBeam's KIAD and the issue was not there. Just at KORD. My Gate was B22. I have not tried it at any other gate at KORD but believe it will occur there too as it happens as I taxi to the takeoff runway too. Very annoying. Looks like it coincides with night lighting that flashes. Thanks for any assistance. Best regards,

Hello everyone, I have put a video on Youtube, in which I have compared how both sims (Prepar3D v3.2 and FSX:Steam) perform under heavy AI traffic load over time in terms of FPS, and how they respond to an increase in the water/shadow settings. With large international airports such as Chicago O'Hare, the FPS are known to degrade over time due to the build-up of traffic, so I was interested to see how both sims would handle this scenario. I have attempted to generate similar graphical quality conditions in both sims, but I know that it is not that simple (for instance, P3D generates more autogen objects into a larger radius than FSX at the same autogen setting). Also, I am aware that the FPS is not necessarily synonymous with smoothness, where P3D is known to have an advantage over FSX. I am wondering if anyone has been working on or knows of an updated KORD scenery with the updated runways since they changed again.
