Hi all! This has been talked about before but none of them have really had am answer! Recently picked up the MD80 as for I am adding MD80 routes for my virtual airline and I bought the Flight 1/Cool Sky Super 80 Pro when I configure the waypoints into my FMC and activate them like I do in the PMDG NGX however when I hit the NAV button it goes to heading hold. And when I push it again it goes to NAV CAP and instantly goes back to HDG HOLD please help! When I hit the FMS overide it does nothing! I dont like configuring the whole FMC i just tune in the VS and speed hold which I do in the NGX and it works fine! Please help I need to fly this this week! As some of you know, I have been I England and France this past week. Well I'll be back in good old Memphis, Tennessee soon enough, but I wanted to share with you some of the thoughts I have had while I've been away. First I want to say that if you ever need to come up with new development ideas, just travel. Your brain just needs to be take. Away from the computer screen sometimes. Really. Here's the plan for the future of my development: I want to link up my projects (Chase's MD-80) with my organization (Midsouth Virtual Air). I have renamed MSA to Midsouth Virtual Aviation in order to accommodate for this move. I want to do this so I can have a development group behind me. For now, it is just me though. I will discuss MSA in a later post. I want to start projects for FSX. I don't know exactly what I can do yet, but I'm pretty optimistic about future FSX development. I MAY try to make an FSX version of the MD-80 if I can port my model over easily. I don't want to rebuild the whole thing. We will see. I am also learning Simconnect, so that will help me develop programs as well. I'll try to keep you posted on the status of the project and of MSA as best I can. Altough I am a registered flythemadog forum user I can't post there and I don't know why, and am aware that this question should be posted on their forum.... Anyway does someone know if a project for new "revisited" vc and external model is still active, in line with graphic "state of the art"? I love this aircraft and it a shame that there isn't nowadays an updated version for a VC and external model. I think that most of the code for the systems is already compatible, perhaps with a few tips; so it would be enough to revisit the vc and maybe the external model. So.... Would you like an updated verison of this aircraft?

Hello there! I'm eager to fly the maddog with the fully analogue panel. However, there's no documentation around which explains the programming of the INS (it's different from the CIVA). Furthermore, do I even need to setup the INS since I'm able to program the Route into the CMA900? And what do I need to do to set the autopilot up to follow the CMA/INS?. I hope someone out there knows more about this topic and is willing to share his knowledge! Best regards, Felician

Hi, I've updated to 1.03 My Active Sky is up to date for P3DV4.2 (and working with other planes). Tonight I flew the Rotate MD80 from Tallahassee, FL (KTLH) to Atlanta (KATL). I just downloaded 10.50b5 and a new update to Skymaxx Pro. The new X-Plane beta flew flawlessly for a beautiful flight! Sorry my FPS counter is in the corner...just getting an idea of performance. Everything flew smooth! Climbing out of Tallahassee RWY 27 - My route was ktlh.szw.warrr1.katl. Cockpit view of the climb-out. Rotatesim MD80 looks amazing. The sun has set and we are established on the WARRR1 STAR into KATL. Great night lighting in the addon. On the ILS Approach RWY 27R. On the chocks at the gate. I'm loving the new beta aircraft at airports. Textures and lights look amazing reflecting off GSE spread around the gate area. Thanks!

Hello. I'm an owner of the Leonardo MD 80. I've noticed that when I program routes into the FMS, the top of descent is placed incredibly close to my destination. This causes my descents to be in excess of 2000ft per minute. This also causes my speed to be very difficult to control. Has anyone else had this issue? How did you deal with it? Hi All, I've tried to install the CLS MD80 into P3D v2.5 (w/current hotfix applied after initial install, prior to any add-ons) with the EMT. The plane will load, but there's no panel displayed in either VC or 2D. I fly exclusively in the VC as I have a triple monitor setup. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I haven't tried the LHS Maddog, as I've read it won't work. (How I wish it would be updated to work in P3D!!) Thanks for any help/ideas, Jim
