  1. Hey Everyone! We are continuing our Alaska airport hops! We'll hop to each land airport in Alaska! We'll start off at Buckland(PABL). We'll be using warbirds for fastest flight. Time: Sunday 8pm EDT UTC-4 Where: Alaska Teamspeak: msflights.jmainguy.com(not a link, but server address!) and go to MS Flight Lobby http://skyvector.com/?ll=69.08817876100274,-156.86499023528162&chart=301&zoom=10&plan=A.PA.PABL:A.PA.PASK:A.PA.8AK3:A.PA.PAIK:A.PF.PFNO:A.PA.PAOT:A.PA.PAWN:A.PA.PADG:A.PA.PAVL:A.PA.PAPO:A.PA.PALU:A.PP.PPIZ:A.PA.2AK8:A.PA.PAWI:A.PA.PAWT:A.PA.PABR
  2. Does anyone know when exactly multiplayer will be shut down? My guess is in less than 15 minutes, when today's aerocache is over.

  4. Hello, Guys! Have you played MS flight? If YES then please tell me "What's the difference b/w FSX and MS Flight?" Also what do you think will Microsoft add new Aircrafts like B777, A330, A380 etc in next versions? Some people say that Microsoft will finish the FSX in future. So how much is it right? Best Regards, AP,
  5. Here is a screenshot of my new painted livery for the C-46 Curtiss Commando for MS Flight. Enjoy.
  6. For those who are interested: https://twitter.com/dovetailgames/status/688000087499403268?lang=en Hopefully this will build upon MS Flight's strengths and make for an even better simulator. This should be very interesting indeed!
  7. After flying around Alaska for a bit have you found any unique airports that would be interesting for fellow pilots to try to land at? Here are a few of my favorites: http://www.airnav.com/airport/PALR/ Chandalar Lake Airport http://www.airnav.com/airport/PAWB/ Beaver Airport http://www.airnav.com/airport/PASC/ Deadhorse Airport

  9. i know this is a dead sim i know it lacks the feature set of fsx and i don't care :) like many here i was a rwp until about 10 years ago. back then all i did was "go up and look around." it made me grin. i've flown flight sims (every one of them) since the beginning of time :) some were more realistic, some had better flight models and some had better grafics. but flight........makes me grin :) it's real enough for the vfr flying that i have done most of my life after being away from sims for several years i reinstalled fs2004, fsx and flight. i spend all my time with flight. we all have different goals with our sim flying, mine is simple vfr flight. i have never (even with tons of addons) had a better vfr experience than i get with flight. i have 2 asus gaming laptops that run all my sims at MAX smooth as silk. no more constant tweaking for a few more fps, no more compromising view quality for fps or vise versa. i don't care if anyone ever releases another flight sim. i'm grinning :) well, i'm off to explore more of alaska and then to make it back to my fbo before dark otter5555
  10. Hello Everyone,While Microsoft Flight is not the most realistic flight sim experience out there I find it to be quite adequate for practicing most flight maneuvers that are required to get a private pilots license. I am currently taking lessons and I try to use flight at least 2 hours a day on weekdays and 2-4 on weekends.I am curious if there are any other student pilots or MS Flight players who would be interested in reviewing and practicing maneuvers (and other essential piloting skills) together. We could take turns going over the maneuver, doing them together, and self-critiquing what we did wrong and discuss (as a group) how to improve.Anyone who is currently a student pilot or is thinking of starting their training could learn a lot from each other. I am very eager to learn from anyone who has knowledge to offer and I feel like a lot of student pilots are the same way. Doing this together will help us all learn, help with motivation, potentially save some money, and ultimately make us all better pilots.I am typically on during the nights. (2 hrs sometime between 8 and midnight est). My gamertag is gucommander. Post in this thread and add me on XBL if your interested. If there is sufficient interest I will start setting up "official events" for this.Maneuvers we would be practicing: Pre-maneuver checklist Steep Turns Power on Stall Power off Stall Slow Flight S Turns Turns around a Point Rectangular Course (I just practice this while doing touch and gos in the traffic pattern) Essential Flight Skills Normal and Crosswind takeoffs and landings Emergency Engine Out Procedures Traffic Patterns Radio (I would LOVE someone to practice the radio with...) Night Flying Basic Instruments Maintaining Straight and Level flight (Altitude is a I TRIED TO USE A PROFANITY HERE - AREN'T I STUPID! even with trim...) Cross Country Flights (Includes flight planning and VOR) Taxiing (This ones a bit hard due to the issues with breaking in MS Flight. i'm sure they will be fixed eventually)
  11. Hi folks, Today I thought it would be great to do some of the flights, the guys in this tv show did. So I googled around but didn't find any summary of the flights they were doing and no flight plans or similar too. So I thought maybe the msflight community can put together something great: A database of all flights they did in FWA. What do I wnt everybody to do? I want you to pick your favorite episode of FWA and pol your most favorite flight out of it. Watch the pisode and take notes. After that do some online research, maybe fire up flight and have a look how the scenery looks light in game. After that please fill out the following as an fact sheet and post it in this thread. Fact Sheet Episode (time of first appearance): Pilot: Plane: which one is used in the tvsow, which one would you recommend. Season/date/time: Start: if it's an airport full name and code would be great. If its not an airport give an exact description of the place (with coordinates?). If its an airport that is not simulated in flight, choose whether to start somewhere on a field in the area where it would be or to start from an airport nearby. Destination: same as start Passengers/Cargo: maybe mention special actions here. For xample: explosives, you have to fly around populated areas, land softly and don't get into heavy wheather to avoid explosion. Nav directions: this part cn be as short or as long as you want. Maybe you just google the vor frequencies and radials you need to find the destination. Or you put an exact description how to fly in it (like: after takeoff head 273 degrees or 15 mins, when you pass a big lake turn right to course xy and fly for approx. 20 mins than take the third valley entrance to the right etc.pp.) Eventually you can even put together an fsx flight plan, so people can load it into their gmap thingy (descriptions to the single waypoints would be great) or maybe you can provide charts or similar. I'm not sure if we are allowed to add flight plan file as an attachment to a post. Special occurrences: put info for special occurances in here (f.e. after 1h30min of flight time a bird hits your plane. Lookout for an suitable place to do an emergency landing. You can continue your flight after an mechanician checked your plane) That's it. I know its a lot of work, but think about it. Many people are doing an extensive flight planning anyway and you just have to provide some additional info. Other people will benefit from the work and if enough people take part on this you can benefit of their work too. I think this collection could provide many of us with hours of fun. Greetings Jazznow
