I would really like to buy the Mindstar GNS 530/430 and also will buy it. It looks very good. However, I would like to have a review or something like that of it. There is virtually nothing on the internet like a review or video, so I hoped someone in this forum has purchased it and can tell me their experience with it. - Has it affected your Frame-Rate? - Do you have some pictures of it? Maybe even in an A2A-Product? - Do you know any videos, showcasing the unit? - How do you like it in general? - Something general about the GNS 530: Is it nice to fly with? I'd like to fly IFR in my A2A Cessna 182. Can I somehow get RealNav-Data for less than 40$? I don't need a one year subscription. I only need a more or less new AIRAC version. Or is paying the cheapest plan for 40$ the only and cheapest way? Thanks a lot! -
Hi, I've installed FSX and the Mindstar G1000 software on a friend's computer, like I did on my own. But when I start flying with the standard C172 with G1000, end my flight and then change to a standard FSX plane (Carenado Caravan), FSX gives a fatal error and crashes. I re-installed everything. When I don't install Mindstar, everything is fine and stays fine. As soon as I install the G1000, initially everything is fine, until I execute the above. I don't have this problem on my own computer, while this is the same kind of software/hardware, although the graphic card is different at least (Windows7 on a MacBook Pro via Bootcamp). Any one else experiencing this problem. Can Mindstar give me some support on this please? Regards, Reno -
Hi there, I purchase the G1000 from Mindstar this January in 2015 with the RealNav Data. I got it for the Eaglesoft DA-42, but i am having a problem activating it. The error is this (The Window Registry points to FSX and Prepar3D V1 in the same folder. This installation cannot continue until this is corrected.) I have FSX installed on my C: drive and P3D v2.4 on my external drive. The G1000 installation was giving me the same error at the end of the installation process. I am trying to install it inside P3D v2.4 folder and i don't know why it mentions Prepar3d v1, i don't own P3D V1 . Any help would be appreciated B) Thank you -
Just purchased the G1000 and was disappointed to find that I could not enter airways in the flight planner (the LD AIRWY softkey did not do anything). Was I doing something wrong, or does the Mindstar G1000 not have airways?

I'm just about ready to go nuts. Been reading every line of the helpful pages on the Mindstar website on how to retrofit their G1000 into other aircraft but I'm seriously at a loss. I'm not a programmer and I'm not very familiar with the logic of how games work. I'm really not good at it. Can someone please help me out? It's supposedly easy since they already have the Mustang profile. I give up. I can't find any help anywhere. How do I install my Mindstar G1000 in P3d v3? Downloaded the latest version of Mindstar but only get the Mindstar/Flight Simulator Addons folder. Try to run "UpdateWizard.exe but get ""The server supporting the Update Wizard is temporarily offline. Please try again later." I did reactivate successfully. Can't find any help anywhere! Somebody please help, thanks.

I had the misfortune of trying to install Reality XP version of the the Garmin 530 into my FSX-SE setup, and found it wouldn't work (Fortunately, I'll get my money back). However, after that experience, I'd like to ask if the Mindstar G1000 and G530 products work in FSX-SE. Thanks in advance! -
I purchased the 430/530 GNS units for Prepar3D on the 3rd June. Since then I have not been able to purchase a RealNavData database update due to a DB KEY error. I have contacted Mindstar via E-Mail twice but have not had a reply. Perhaps my expectations of a reply within 2 days is somewhat unrealistic for such a large company as Mindstar and while I appreciate that we are the minority, compared to Mindstar's commercial customers, I would still love to get a RealNavData subscription, so that I can use these units correctly. Can anyone tell me how to get a RealNavData subscription when I can't see a DB KEY in the unit in the sim? I appear to be stuck in a horrible loop - I can't get a subscription without a DB KEY but I can't get a DB KEY. I have tried using the included RealNavDataUpdate but it either cannot contact the server or cannot verify my subscription... not funny. Any help is much appreciated. Toby
