I have seen a few threads on a few other boards about Ultimate Terrain X and MegaSceneryEarth working together. Does anyone have any example photos of what this looks like? The general response is that yes, you can use both at the same time, but you have to order them right and you will lose a lot of features of UTX but get the night lighting system of UTX. Is that the extent of the compatibility? Maybe PC Avivator can shed some final light on this. I really want to be able to enhance night flying with MSE products since they have very limited night light texture support. Anyone have some screen caps to show off these two products working in tandum?

I finally purchased the State of Texas (yes, the whole package) from MegaSceneryEarth and got it downloaded yesterday. I hemmed and hawed for a long time but decided it was time to get it. This has got to be the largest download and installation of an FSX product ever! There are 103 files for the complete package consisting of 106GB's and it took me about 4 hours to download all of them. Then I had to extract the setup program from each file (that took about another 2 hours) and run each setup program.... 103 times! Yet, I'm extremely happy with the product and it may be one of the best ones produced so far. I flew a couple of flights today from Houston IAH to Oklahoma City's Will Rogers International Airport (yes I own MSE Oklahoma too) and the realism was unbelievable. Flying near Oklahoma City I could see the red rusty dirt prevalent in the area. I just cannot see ever flying over FSX default scenery ever again. I was just wondering if anyone else has bought the whole package and if they encountered any installation issues. So far I see no anomalies in the photoscenery but the State is big so may never see any. I also got Iowa and hoping to see my birth state, Kansas soon before the FanCon. Best regards, Jim

Here are just some random shots of the new MSE updated Massachusetts 2.1..... Connecticut on the left and Massachusetts on the right. Here are the borders of MSE Vermont and in the distance MSE New Hampshire, Another shot of the border between Massachusetts and New Hampshire. A top down view from central Massachusetts. A shot flying over Quabbin Reservoir which is one of two reservoirs that provide water supply for Boston, Westover Metropolitan Airport near Holyoke. Over Downtown Boston. Another shot of Boston. Random shot. I just wanted to share so those whom might be interested in getting the product can get some alternate shots than from the online store....I will be posting more states as I can and try to show how the borders line up with each other.

Wanted to share some more MegaSceneryEarth shots this time from Ohio....I hope to show the good and the not so good in all my screenshots I love the MSE series but it does come with its annoyances, at least for me...Then again even GTX and UTX has things that annoy me as well...Its not the fault of PC Aviator by no means...Anyway lets see some cool screenshots. This one is over Youngstown looking north...to the right you can see Pennsylvania MSE 2.0... color differences are obvious but I kind of like that I can distinguish between the state borders so its not a big deal... Here is Toledo heading east with the default Michigan to the North and lake Eire off in the distant...not a bad shot here. Toledo is one of the better areas in MSE Ohio. Flying west in north east Ohio you can see the Perry Nuclear Power Plant which feeds North East Ohio and Cleveland... A shot from central Ohio showing that the colors don't always mesh well...many reasons for this can be attributed to the time of day the photo was taken to different time of the year, different cameras etc... Flying east over home town of Ashtabula.... Pennsylvania is in the distance... Flying over Cincinnati and the Ohio river.... Hopkins International Airport in Cleveland.... Flying over Burke Lake Airport in Cleveland... Over Columbus with downtown in the upper left. Last one here flying across the Ohio river from Parkersburg WV into Marietta and I77....

Proud to announce that MSEA has 100 airports in its catalog now and the number is still growing steadily every week. After a year of operation and 13k+ downloads from AVSIM I'm still going strong - it's pretty easy to stay motivated when you have a new airport to travel to after you're done! There are only a dozen or two airports left for NJ - including every airfield that FSX has in its database (and a few it doesn't!) After that... well we'll see where things are at that point in time :)
