I have plans to build a magnetic actuating yoke that will not cost $1200 and have up to around 10 pounds of resistance and my goal is to price it around $200 U.S. But need help writing the software. I'm sick of the yoke makers building yokes, promising consumers prices and then selling them at nearly untouchable prices. Those of us who's wives would kill us if we spent anymore money on our passion/hobby or $1200 for a single item for our hobby kinda guys. Uhhh... it makes irritated just thinking about the prices of these yokes that do not cost even a eighth of the price to manufacture. I'm a real world pilot and I still fly my sim because it keeps me proficient and I feel like I never take time off from flying a real plane. Most of flying anyway is habits that are ingrained to the point of being a reflex, I'm a checklist n4zi and they are you're best friend in a plane, but having the realism of accurate yoke inputs and forces just adds to the OH YEA!!! of flying. So your on approach at night with trees surrounding the runway (literally looks like someone cut a rectangle out of the trees and dropped a runway) and you see the threshold coming into view under the glow of the landing light. As you dip below the green tops you start flat descending and at a scary rate. That upwind flow that let you make a nice, slow approach abruptly dissipates. You pull back only to hear the stall horn, you FEEL a lot less resistance on the yoke than before. Then you slam the throttle through the firewall and that control resistance comes back just in time to blacken up those stripes a little more. True story, my scariest experience yet. If you can use the plane again, it was a good flight. Anyhow, thats the experience I want to achieve with a yoke but at a wallet friendly price. -

My friend recently installed a Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit on my laptop. It worked with my FSX great until yesterday. I started FSX as usual and even before it reaches the splash screen, the game crashes. It states that, "Flight Simulator was unable to load some program files and will now exit. Please reinstall Flight Simulator to restore or repair the program installation." So I reinstalled my FSX (FSX + Acceleration) and it started up fine. But when I shut down the game and turned it on again, the same error happened again!!! :blink: :angry: I repeatedly reinstalled FSX, but the same thing happens again and again. I've reinstalled it with all of my mods that worked before, so I don't see why it crashes. Any help would be appriciated. :Praying: Specs: Dell Latitude D630, Intel Core 2 Duo T8300 @ 2.4 GHz, 4 GB of RAM, Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit, Nvidea NVS Quadro 135M

I'm trying the stop ATC from saying maintain zero until established. Can someone help me change the approach instructions with ADEX? I can open the BGL file but can't find the approach data to change. Thanks!

Need help with an FSX issue. When flying jets after about 15 seconds the aircraft starts to bounce and becomes un-controllable and eventually crashes. What I have done - reinstalled FSX in the repair mode re-calibrated controls Whats more puzzling is it does not happen with light piston aircraft. Please respond to

It happened with both navigraph expansions. Not all stars will be loaded. I tougth it was problem of one them but, i purchased another to the s550 and woala, the same problem. Its frustrating because with sids there are no problems on both of them but the stars, you can see all of them but if select one, the procedure wont be loaded. Any got ideas? any got this problem before how to fix it? i have to try to reinstall, update the airac cycle twice, the databuilder goes succesfully but no luck. I have try delete de entries of regedit of carenado. and then install the addons again. nothing no luck. I just want to know if any body got this problem, try to fly in europe to see if you can load all the stars or just a few of them. to see if i have to format my computer or its a carenado bug probelm and we have to wait for an update. -
Hello, I have recently upgraded my system because of low performance issues. My new specs are: i7-3770k @ 4.0ghz, GTX 970 4gb and 8gb Ram, Windows 7 Ultimate My config I've been playing with to work out whats gone wrong and I'm still very unsure as my fps can be as low as 8-9 fps in the sky. It also has lag spikes. Before you ask I use 3 monitors 1920x1200 on surround of a resolution of 5760 x 1200 on the gtx 970 (Running the flight). And a smaller monitor on a gtx 610 @ 1280x1024 (This for maps)... I have just used NVidia inspector for locking frames and other various things around on internet in there recommendations. I will attach everything and would appreciate if people could help me fix my FSX and NVidia inspector if need be to get these stable frames. I must also mention that I stream the middle screen on 1920*1080 to twitch sometimes on fsx and obs. Hello Guys ! Just upgraded my GPU 560 to 580, I have 42" Plasma TV using HDMI cable with adapter to the new card DVI Port. (NVEDIA High Definition Audi) Headset/Mic are connected to C-Media PCI Card No matter what I do or try to do, I can get sound only to the head set, even if I pick up the TV Sound card it will only get me sound to my headset. I check the TV sound on window sound setup, & yes, I can hear the TV Speakers responding properly to the test . No sign of any issue on Device Manager Had no issue prior to the upgrade. Any Idea ???? Hi, Over the next few months, I will be making the transition to a full SSD system. I plan on using a 240GB main drive for my OS and programs and using my 120GB ADATA SSD[already own it] for FSX. I am really overwhelmed with the market being flooded with so many choices and so many brands. I really need a bit of an SSD 'compass' on what I need to look for. I would appreciate it if you guys could give me some ideas on what kind of drive I should be looking for. The three things that are most important to me are this: -VERY Reliable [i can't have glitchy firmware...Needs TRIM...Lots of write cycles...etc] -Speed, I would prefer a newer SATAIII drive, but I am not all about getting the fastest drive. Reliability is much more important for me. -Storage, as stated above, I am looking for a 240 (or 256GB) SSD All help is greatly appreciated! Thanks everyone! -

How can you raise the eyepoint or view to permanently look over a 2d panel. I can raise the seat to look over the panel by pressing Ctrl and Q, but when I look out the side window views, it goes back to original view in the front panel view. I use to know the way to do it, but have since forgotten. Any help would be appreciated. czweig
