Greetings Gentleman, I have a notebook where I run secondary applications on a network to communicate with my main sim machine. I already have Simconnect setup for FSX, but I cannot find any tutorials on setting up Simconnect for P3D. Amongst others, I want to run Active Sky Next on my notebook via Simconnect. I just purchased a new SSD where I installed P3D 2.4 (so clean install) and am setting things up now so that all is ready for when the T7 is released - hopefully this year still. Your expertise would be greatly apprecaited. Thank you and regards, Rene

Dear Alll, Nowadays most of us have not only one computer available but two, three or even more. I for example have an current desktop (i7 2600k @ 4.4 Ghz, 8 GB RAM, GTX 780) for flying and an “old” desktop PC (Intel dual-core @3.5 Ghz, GTX 460, 4GB RAM), a laptop (i3 dual-core, onboard graphic, 4 GB RAM) and an Android-Tablet. What are the possibilities to use all of this hardware and what do we need to link up several computer to share the tasks of simming? And do I need to buy additional licenses?

I am trying to run CrgSim to allow me to display a PFD and other instruments on a monitor run by a computer networked to the computer that's running FSX. Do any simmers here have experience with the software? I'm having trouble getting the PFD to display. I have an email in to the developers, but I'm asking here as it may be a simple, common problem that others have already dealt with.

Hi all, SB=squawkbox AS=AS2012 after a few months of upgrading my hardware, tweaking fsx to run on an ati card, trying out rex-ess and AS to decide which, and changing my gpu to a gtx580, i can finally see the day where i will set it and forget it and get back into flying on VATSIM. I have a few questions that you may be able to help me with or not. 1. Considering the system thats in my sig(i have two monitors), would it be better to run AS and SB on a laptop in the network? 2. If yes, is there a guide or tutorial on how to set up both these programs on the network? I know AS has a chapter on network configuration, i just wonder if theres something else simpler out there. 3. Is there an alternative program to SB to connect to VATSIM? Thanks in advance!

Hello all, I have recently tried to run Xpax (sp1 with hotfix) via a network but to no avail. Xpax gives an error when it start on the client but if I click on "Connect to FS" it can connect successfully, and I can see the green row with text on the Server PC running FSX. However, the problem is that it cannot access my aircrafts from Server, and does not have dynamic weight change on the aircraft when boarding passengers. I have REX E+OD running on the same Client via simconnect, and FS Commander 9.2 running via Fsuipc/WideFS. All other fsx network add-ons are working perfectly other then Xpax. The error I get when Xpax starts, as well as when I click on the aircraft menu is given below: =================================================== See the end of this message for details on invoking Hi All, I'm in a very unfortunate situation. I recently purchased a new FSX machine and PC to run as a client for programs such as EFB, Active Sky etc. Ive always ran active sky over a network and never had any problems. I set the original networked install up my self. Since buying these new machines I cannot for the life of me get ASN to connect to FSX.. It just says waiting for simulator in orange. This is driving me round the bend as im fairly confident I've done everything correct but maybe not lol.. Here's some specs of my install Main FSX PC - Win 7 64 bit AS_Connect is installed FSX Version: MSFSX: Acceleration: 10.0.61637.0 MSFSX Acceleration SDK Version: 10.0.61637.0 Note - FSX is classic boxed edition Secondry non fsx gaming PC - Win 7 64 bit SimConnect Versions installed: 10.0.60905.0 || 10.0.61242.0 || 10.0.61259.0 ASN Version: Active Sky Next for FSX SP2 Am I missing something here... I'm loosing my mind lol! Oh and by the way Avilasoft EFB is fully operational and functional over the network using simconnect.. Live map, airport etc everything works perfectly Please help!

Hi there, I want to share my knowledge and learn something from yourself. I am going through an IFR course and setting up a sim to help develop a proper scan, memorise routines, try various emergencies and so on. After learning that iPad can be used to control the instruments like radio and navs from the touchscreen, I thought, a nice pc could do the whole instrument panel on one big touch screen. That worked, so i wanted connect it to another pc that would also provide an outside view on a big tv screen. Well... FSX multiplayer - a bit fiddly, but works the best of the below. It is really smooth. You can run VOXATC and it will inject ATC and traffic. It can not re-plays or share the cockpit of the A2A... OPUS FSI - stutters, the client application just stutters the major computer on the liveview test itself!? Embarrassing, considering that FSX shared cockpit pass a lot more information and does it smoothly. Wideview - another kind of stutters. If i tick the 'smooth' option, it runs better, but creates a lag. FSxpand - the gauges are not looking real, lots of customisation is required, £80, ha? Air Manager - the gauges look better but jumpy, not smooth, sometimes too sensitive or work in reverse, not stable - a lot of coding is required. Well, the best experience so far is FSX shared cockpit with VOXATC...

Multiple copies of MSFS on network
Altidude posted a topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)
Hello, When running MSFS on a network, I assume 2 downloads/licenses will be required. Looking to convert my home cockpit to MSFS, while trying to estimate how much this will cost me. Can anyone enlighten me about installing and running 2 copies at the same time? I use WidevieW, and noticed they have a version for MSFS 2020. Thanks for any help.
