two things for the 747 QOTS2, #1 the device that switches views, non-existent its also not in the views/instrument panels. #2 PDMG menu is also non-existent from the addon menu. Ops manual talks about it, but i can't find them in the menus. -
Is it possible to disable the 2D panels?? What happens if I edit the panels.cfg and comment out the gauges or remove the panel info att the top for the 2D panels?? Will the NGX go crazy? I only run in VC with Ezdoc. The only 2D I use sometimes is the FMC during flight, not during planning then I zoom in to it in VC. Just wonder, I have the 32-bit WinXP Prof. and need all power I can get. Why I ask is that in the Performance settings via FMC I lowered the 2D settings down to 5 and if I am not completly wrong I gained 5-8 FPS in overall. Anyway I could taxi around at Mega Heathrow with a lot smoother feeling, FPS was up around 20+ during taxi to runway. With all things running like UT2 and AS2012. Anyone tried this? Turning off the FO side looks a little wrong. So why not turn of 2D if not used Maybe first question should be: Are they running at all when not shown? Anyway I think they are loaded when loading the airplane so why not get updated aswell if you switch to it. FMC is in sync when you click on it to get the 2D version. I think I will first try setting Perormance to 0 (zero) and see what happens. If it does it's ok by me. When I lowered it the first time I was in a middle of a flight so I did not dare to set it to zero in case it "#&%&?, you know.

MSFS FIP gauges and panels shots at fsxtimes

Fsxtimes, a legendary flightsim blog since fsx times, just added two nice features for MSFS users: 1. For Saitek/Logitech FIP users There is now a first batch of FIP gauges available for some planes, i.e. the C152, C172, and R400. I like these gauges as they are very close to the originals and come with some additional features like an elevation and flap indicator. To see MSFS offers, go to the FIP Gauges Store from the upper right menu and select MSFS. These gauges work with SPAD.neXt (that's the way I am using them) as well as the Saitek drivers. 2. For all MSFS users The blog entry has two pdf documents (one for propeller planes and one for jets) collecting panel screenshots of all MSFS planes. That's something I am missing in the plane-selection in game where only exterior views are shown (which I rarely see sitting in the cockpit). Honestly, there are some planes in the MSFS zoo which I never heard about before, so this does help. If you open the documents you can even click on the images to get a high-resolution version to save or print out, if you like. (First click in the docs provides a scroll bar of all panels, a second click onto a specific one shows it in detail with a View full size option in the lower right). Kind regards, Michael -
Hey guys, 1. So I have recently set up my FSX with 2 monitors using AMD EyeInfinity software and it has been working perfectly, until when I need to access either the GPS or the switches that show when you click shift 1-9. When I try and bring them up they show an out line of a box that they are there but the panel is invisible. I can interact with it when I move the cursor over it but I can't see anything on the panel? I have looked for many threads to see if anyone else had this issue but I can't find any. I have tried tweaking the panel.cfg file with changing the size, location and visibility but still no luck. If anybody could help, it will be greatly appreciated! 2. When I do any free flight and go to interact with the plane, everything seems to be in slow-mo. ie. When I fly the C172 it feels like I am flying a B747 with the movements being slow and the speeds ascending slowly. I have the simulation rate on normal so that isn't the issue. Glass display panels in cockpit go black after a while. Using P3D, have latest GeForce drivers installed. Does anybody know why this is happening?

Hello, just bought an academic version of Prepar3dv4. When i select to fly with certain airplanes of Carenado like Katana DA40 the interior of the aircraft (panel and passenger views) is not showing properly. In their site does not mention something about incompatibility. Am i missing something?

Hello! I just bought the 64bit version of the plane. But when I load it in to the sim all panels are black and I can't click on any button. The install and registration went all fine. can someone please help? Thanks, Max

I stumbled on a website that looks to be training software for real-world pilots. There is an app that explains every switch and panel interactively...if they had this for android I would not mind purchasing this even though I'm nowhere near for anything the like for a checkride ( I fly the 172 in real life) on the 737NG. Anywho...This is the link http://www.aerosim.com/products/checkride/b737 I was hoping to find a program that simulates the FMC to know how to use it properly away from the sim. I guess i have to keep searching.

Hi folks, some days ago the AC/DC metering panel changed its font from dotted to a solid font. I am not sure, but maybe this coincided with installing fsuipc. 1. Why is that? 2. What is right? 3. If the dotted font is right and fsuipc the reason for solid font, how can fsuipc and the dotted font coexist? Thanx in advance, 19AB67
