  1. Just got X-Plane 10.31 and wondering if there is a way to pan in the forward looking view (no instruments) like you can in the virtual cockpit using the mouse? This would really help in looking around using VFR, especially at night.
  2. Hi, Chaseplane has been working fine for me on P3D 4.2 with beta experimental version 4.198. All of the sudden I randomly noticed that the Smooth Zoom does not work properly it is jittery and jumpy. Also mouse panning in the VC randomly freezes and becomes intermittently unresponsive, the same happens when using the arrow keys to move around the cockpit. I remember when first using Chaseplane in V4.2 I had some weird glitchy issues like above but switching to the experimental version fixed this. Since 4.2 was released and up until now I have not had any issues and all those features seemed to work fine. Including on this current version. It was only that today I noticed these issues, closing Chaseplane and relaunching it does not fix this issue. The issue happens in every aircraft also. I even reinstalled Chaseplane and still this has not fixed it. I have not made any recent changes to my sim at all (including during the time that these functions were working correctly). This issue has come on completely randomly and I have not been able to fix it. Any ideas? I think others could be having this issue also from reading another post on another topic about freezing. Also I just realised the topic double posted, apologies, could an admin delete the duplicate. Thanks :) Cheers,
  3. Hi, I have this strange problem: when panning in virtual cockpit. My hatswitch acts as expected. When I change to aircraft view, I can not pan around my aircraft, my left and right switch just do that: move directional to the left or to the right. The hatswitch is activated in the chase plane control panel. Any advice will be much appreciated Jos
  4. All cockpit views are in a continuous yaw to the right (not the aircraft, just the views). This is very disconcerting - it's almost to the point that I cannot fly. If I leave the view alone, within a matter of a few minutes I'm looking over the panel at a 45 degree angle. A few minutes later, I'm looking out the right side of the aircraft. If I tap in a view key combination (built-in or custom) the view immediately resets, but continues to pan right (this is very slow but continuous). I'm having to reset the view every minute to maintain proper visual cues and panel access. Yesterday I lost the entire Freelook mouse control and was unable to freely adjust cockpit and external views. After searching the forums, I found this had happened to a number of people after the SU5 update. Considering that I had been flying for a number days after this update and had not had this issue it's strange that it just popped up out of nowhere. I went into the Control Options, created a new mouse profile and had to manually create new freelock axis inputs for both external and cockpit cameras to get the freelook system working again. Now the internal views won't stop panning. Any ideas?
  5. You know how when you use mouse-look (shift O) in VC mode, it has a beautiful, fluid movement to it much like TrackIR? But when you use the hat switch to pan it has a very robotic, rigid 'fixed' way of moving that feels mechanical and crude? Is there any way to make is so that the hat switch looking behaves like the mouse-look panning? Fluid and more Human like? I tried a tweak that involved finding the cameras cnfg but the changes didn't make any difference. I"m using Win 7 so don't have the c/documents and settings/ et.etdc path. Rather its the c/users/app data/roaming-local etc. path. Anyway, if there's a way to do this I'd be greatly appreciative. Please be detailed in your description using windows 7 paths if possible. Thank you so much!
  6. If you look most any good FSX movie on YouTube, you'll notice that there are a lot of shots where the camera pans past the aircraft. Without purchasing anything like Walk and Follow or EZ DOK, what is the best way to achieve an active camera angle like this? I saw using the "Play as Traffic" function of FS Recorder to record the aircraft. Is this feasible?Thanks,boeing247
