  1. Hello, My name is Daniel CEO & Founder at www.exsva.com - we are currently looking to recruit staff and pilots for our virtual airline. We are a new virtual airline and are constantly working to provide pilots with the best tools and resources to help keep you in the air. A bit about us - We are a virtual airline based in Leeds Bradford (EGNM) with many HUB's within England and Scotland providing low cost travel to Europe and America. We operate a fleet of 66 aircraft inlcuding A320, A321, A330, B737-300's, B737-800's and B757-200's. With a total of 42 destinations and 529 schedules, where will your next flight take you? Looking forward to seeing you in the skies!
  2. We're a brand new VA, and we're looking for pilots. Here are some reasons to join our VA: CityLink Virtual Airlines has: Plenty of routes to do, so you won’t be bored. A select but great fleet, which exists out of – for instance – Fokker 50s. Check http://www.citylink-va.com/index.php/pages/planes for our whole fleet. 2 Hubs: EHBK (Maastricht) and EHRD (Rotterdam), both based in the Netherlands. A modern website A challenging ranking system Winter and Summer Events A user-friendly logging system, called CityLink kAcars. A forum where everything about the VA and flying can be asked. A twitter account (@CityLinkVA) Follow us, if you like. In case you haven’t got payware, there’s always a freeware version. If you have a question, feel free to contact us! Website: www.citylink-va.com Twitter: @CityLinkVA
  3. Where do I go to get help with downloading and unzipping and installing FS Global.???? When I downloaded FS Global (the second zip file ie PILOTsFSG2010FTX.z01) using Internet Download Manager, it shows up in the file I downloaded with a 'page' icon vs. the little 'vice' icon normal for zip files. Does this mean it did not download properly? I cannot find meaningful download instructions other than using a "hash generator" to generate a MD5 value based on a string. What string? Where can I find help at Pilot's? Thanks Carl ========================
  4. Hi everyone, I need to interview and profile someone for my college writing class and I would like to interview an airline pilot. Could anyone give me some insight or point me in the right direction on how I could get into contact with an airline pilot? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

  8. Flagship Airlines would like to announce completion of the largest route structure in VAFinancials. We offer a unique, pressure free, flying experience to pilots of all abilities, from novice to advanced. Using the popular VAFinancials Client, your entire flight is monitored and logged, allowing you to evaluate your own flight performance, address issues for the future, and to improve your flying experience. Operating from our hubs in Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, Seattle, Newark, St Louis, Minneapolis, Rio, Bogota, Manchester (UK), Paris, Amsterdam, Lisbon, Inverness, Syndey, Dubai and Incheon, we have over 122,000 routes covering short and long haul routes. What makes Flagship Airlines unique is that whilst most Virtual Airlines offer multiplayer facilities, we have taken this a step further. Every route from every hub is available to fly in any one of the fleet located at the hub. Therefore it is possible to have between 1 and 25 pilots flying the same route, using different jets at the same time, expanding the community experience, and making things a lot more fun! With a fleet of over 350 aircraft including 707, 727, 737, 747, 757, 767, 777 and 787 aircraft in multiple passenger and freight configurations as well as MD-11's, CRJ-700's, Dash-8s and a Airbus A319, A321 & A380 we are proud to be one of the fastest growing Virtual Airlines around today. We communicate via TeamSpeak, and have a full rank and award structure, but, and here's the big but.......almost no rules and regulations. Fly whichever route you want, whenever you want. We just ask for at least 2 flights per month, and that you are over 16. Feel free to visit our website at: http://www.flagshipair.com or register at http://www.flagshipair.com/node/26

  10. The FSX Fleet is an extremely realistic virtual military! We teach our students what it takes to be truly great pilots. We have an Air Force and a Navy, flying such airframes as the F-15, F-22, B-1, C-17, C-5, VRS F-18 Superbug, and a custom E-2C Hawkeye. We also have an active Aerial Refueling Squadron, which flies the KC-10 and the KC-45. Refueling is part of standard Advanced Pilot training. We would love to see some engaged pilots enter our ranks! So, apply today at FSXFleet.com!
  11. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQS8-MNWAdw With more than nine-teen thousand operations and more than forty million people yearly it is no surprise that Phoenix Sky Harbor is the ninth busiest airport in the US and twenty third busiest in the world. Harsh monsoons can plague Phoenix from July to September and raging sand storms bring all air traffic to an abrupt and grinding halt. With these hazardous weather conditions and the amount of traffic that Phoenix receives daily it is not surprising that Phoenix gets overloaded. The Phoenix Tracon and Local control are ready for the onslaught of traffic. So...are you up to the task of overloading? Join the Albuquerque ARTCC December 1st from 7EST-11EST (2359Z-0400Z) to see if you have what is takes to overload Phoenix. Please read over the pilot briefing to be familiar with Phoenix procedures and what you can expect from the controllers and what the controllers expect from you: http://zabartcc.org/....lot Brief.pdf" Terminal Charts: http://www.airnav.co...m/airport/KPHX" Enroute Charts: http://skyvector.com/" Will you be there?
  12. FOR THE LOVE OF FLYING! We enjoy the realistic concept of flying an airplane from a destination to a favorite destination. We all enjoy the moments of pretending our flights contain real people and many lives are within the palms of our hands. Oh, the occasional moments where we've encountered situations that caused us to go #####!, I cannot forget the moments that caused me to do emergency landings at nearby airports! But, as Microsoft Flight Simulator endure upon highway 2014, 2015 brings in a clean slate for ...... What is next? ! I am pretty sure it's been asked before, but..... there are no solid answers. So, community of flyers and FSX Fanatics, its being asked once again. What is next? Microsoft Flight Simulator (the company) is no longer with Microsoft. From what I can understand, due to a lack of funding and for the love of laying off thousands of employees, Flight Simulator crew of developers received the boot. Unfortunately, for us FSX fanatics, we have to literally ask ourselves .... what do we do now? With the transition of technology that Microsoft and other tech companies have to withstand (Apple), what is next for the FSX? Who is the next big company that we should all keep an eye opened up for? Which is the next real life (exact duplication of real life flying OR even better) FSX company? I would love to hear your opinions! Let's get it started yall ! BTW! BY THE WAY ..... I am pretty aware that there was a previous post about "what is next for FSX." Based on the Google search, I think it was a decade ago? WELL ..... It's 2014 .... we are just a couple of months away from entering into another year. Why not .... give the needle a spin? CHAO!
  13. Video shows a small sample of the sharp and quick thinking requirements that are expected of modern commercial airline pilots. These are the great minds that can stay ahead of their massive heavy metal behemoths that fly at neck breaking speeds, carrying enough people to populate a small town, all trusting their lives to their skill and training.
  14. Set-up: Flying the JRollon CRJ-200 in X-Plane 10.45 from KORD to KBUF with SkyMaxx. Weather was overcast with cloud ceiling at 13000ft but no heavy winds or turbulence. Issue: Cruising at 31,000ft I began my decent into KBUF about 90 miles out. At about 28,000ft I inadvertently pressed the wrong button on my joystick - TWICE. This caused the flaps to engage at about 420kt. I immediately realized my mistake and attempted to retract the flaps but it was too late and the plane began an uncontrolled drive that I was completely unable to recover from crashing to the ground within 45 seconds! Question: If this happened in real life would the aircraft really respond in that way? Of course, I wouldn't be surprised if the flaps completely broke off at that speed but would that cause an unrecoverable dive/free fall? Other than my curiousness about all things aviation, I am also wondering if X-Plane exaggerated the situation? I once ran into extremely heavy turbulence flying over Florida in XP. I was indeed able to recover but I couldn't help but wonder was XP exaggerating the turbulent affect on the aircraft? Only questioned because I had never run into that type turbulence in years with FSX and P3D. Likewise, I'd never lost control of a plan like that in FSX or P3D either. Just wondering if I need to somehow adjust my realism settings differently or, are these events, and outcomes, completed plausible? Any insight would be great. BTW: *Yes, I made an absolute "Bone Head" mistake! As an armchair sim pilot, nobody was hurt other than my fragile ego - so you can answer sans the Bone Head Back Slaps!
