  1. So I could really use some help as I am stomp on whats going on here. All my transatlantic flights to an from the US stops in the middle of the Atlantic ocean, somewhere between Iceland and Greenland. EZCA looses functionality and so does TracKIR5, my USB keyboard and mouse and my Logitech G940. I can still hear and see FSX working but I cannot pan around or do anything to control the sim. The buttons that I see in the aircraft are accessible and do click but I cannot tell if they have any affect at all on the aircraft. I also noticed that the aircraft is always on a very slow descent when it should be cruising instead and moving my mouse, joystick does absolutely nothing. I have ProATC/X on a client PC and as far as I can tell it stops responding to. However, I've recreated the flight without ProAtc/X and it made no difference, though ProAtc/X map always showed me where the problem occurred in FSX. If I restart the last saved situation using ProAtc/X if flies ok for a moment then freaks out again. This does not happen anywhere else in the world. I also have both AS16 and ASCA installed on client and on server. Running them on either client or server or not at all still produces the same issue. This problem occurs with any aircraft I use including PMDG 777 and 747 which I fly often. As far as I can tell, long flights to Australia, South America and Asia via the Pacific, have no such Problem. This issue started when I upgraded to EZCA v.2 about a month ago. EZCA began experiencing disconnects within FSX, with TrackIR 5 and my Logitech G940. Uninstalling both EZCA and TrackIR 5 did not resolve the issue because it continued to happen with just my Logitech G940. I tried a different mouse and keyboard, reinstalled and reconfigured Logitech software, reset the FSX control settings to default and still the same problem. I have also rebuilt a new fsx.cfg and looked around for other anomalies but keep coming up short. I do use Simstarter, but that has been working for months before the issue. I get no errors, no crashes and it only happens on long haul transatlantic flights. I have no clue what to do next and hope that someone here can help me. Thanks System and Sim Specs: Server: Win 7Ultimate 64bit, FSX accelerator on dedicated SSD A second SSD with other third party scenery A third SSD for AS16, REX and ASCA Scenery includes: ORBX, FSDT, FSBEAM, Flytampa, Pacsim, etc i7 3770k overclocked 4.6ghz GTX1070 Strix 6GB ram EVGA 1000 power supply Troy
  2. I am trying to challenge myself in this... I've already watched a few videos on doing this, but, when on the overhead panel, trying to turn on ground power, the button is just blank with no sign on it... Just plain blank... Here's the steps... I turned on battery, then, put standby pwr to auto... And then turned on all of the bus ties and the gen cont... I then tried to turn the knob under the sign saying sys fault to aux, but the sign didn't go away... I ignored it, but then, I eventually figured out I had to turn on ground power... There is no white mark appearing on the switch... It's totally unavailable... I do have parking brakes on, but found it not helpful... Please help... Anybody!!! Thanks

  4. Hey guys! I'm planning on buying a new computer, partly for Prepar3d (v2.5, going to be upgraded). I was thinking about following components, as I'm still on a certain budget: - Intel i7 6700K - Asus Z170-K Mainboard - GeForce GTX 960 4GB - 250 GB Samsung SSD - 1 TB Hard Drive - 600W PSU - Water Cooling. Cost: €1100. My main concerns are the GPU and the mainboard. I want to play P3d with addons like the Aerosoft A318/319 or A2A GA Aircraft on high settings with at least 30 pfs, among that I will also use the PC for CAD work, video editing and music production. Therefor the question: Should I invest in like a GTX970 (which is even older than the 960) or even the Radeon RX 480? And is the mainboard capable of handling it all? Also: Is 600 Watts enough power for the system? Thanks in advance for your help! Kris
  5. Hello all. I just recently downloaded the Flight1 King Air B200. I loaded it for the first time and it seemed to load ready and running "the props were turning". I noticed the displays were not on, but I thought that the avionics switch was just off when it first loaded. I went into the settings and made everything "realistic" and cold and dark and it loaded as such. I switched on the battery and flipped the avionics master switch to on... and nothing happened. I pushed, pressed, flipped and manipulated every thing I could find on the display but could not get it to turn on. Am I missing a stupid step or is it possible that the download was corrupted by, say, an antivirus program or something. I did notice that windows 7 wanted to know if I would share FSX across my network, which I have never been asked before with this specific app screen splashed on screen, so I said yes to my HOME network, thinking it was Navigraph wanting access. Then I had the other standard, "do you want to use this gauge..." press enter so that was fine. Does anyone think I got a corrupt file download? Or do I just not know how to use the G1000?
  6. Hi there, I'm planning on upgrading my PC but I have developed some un-certainty as to whether the setup will run together. First are my current specs the second are the specs I'm planning on achieving; Current Setup; Intel i3-2120 @3.30GHz 8GB RAM (no idea what brand!) Asus P8H61-MX MOBO 300W PSU (I believe it is anyway!) Intel HD 2000 Graphics (inbuilt GPU thingy!) Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit The specs I'm hoping to achieve; Intel i3-2120 @3.30GHz 8GB RAM (keeping the same RAM) Asus P8H61-MX MOBO (keeping same MOBO to!) CoolerMaster 650Watt GX Bronze Gaming PSU (this is powersupply some guy on youtube had with same MOBO as me) Nvidia GTX560 Ti 1GB Graphics Card Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit What I'm wondering is; Will the 2nd Setup work together fine?, this is more of a tech nerd post than an FSX post, at least I hope it is I'm hoping FSX will run pretty smooth on the new setup all being well if it works! I'm kinda hoping to avoid upgrading the processor as they can be quite pricey and kinda figured it would be cheaper to get a grahics card instead! Also if anyone has information about FSX running the GTX 560 Ti with the i3-2120 please let me know, I haven't been able to find any information about this setup for FSX on the internet so if anyone can spread light I would greatly appreciate it! Oh, I'm also planning on playing other PC games on this setup such as Battlefield 3 and GTA IV, does anyone know if those will run nicely on the new setup? The pics are what I'm dreaming to acheive!!!
  7. After replacing the default 430 with the RXP430, I can see the unit, but I can not power it on. I have tried various power options for the RXP 430 but nothing works. The default A36 unit 2 powers on fine. (This scenario is also the same for the RXP 530 as well as the GTN750)
  8. Hello everyone, I am trying to figure out an issue I have had for some time with my setup. I am running the G1000 PFD and MFD screens in popup windows so they can each be displayed on individual screens but the G1000 remains powered on no matter what state the Master switches (Battery or Avionics) are in. As soon as the aircraft is loaded the G1000 powers up. I have an Advanced license because I am using hardware to interface with the sim and the aircraft I am using it in is the A2A C182. I should mention that I do have the "Accusim=YES" parameter in my G1000.ini file. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
  9. I have a question about the power source for the EFIS panelbuilder instruments. As I'm using the EFIS panelbuilder software solely for the engine instruments in my flight Simulator project I would like to feed them from the battery bus. Currently the EFIS panelbuilder instruments will light up when the avionics switch is switched to ON together with the other displayunits in my sim. This is not what I want, in real aircraft (beech Kingair and alike.....)normally the avionics are switched ON after enginestart but the engine instruments are needed for the engine start itself, so it would be great if these were powered through the battery switch in stead. Is this possible? or is it possible to make the avionics switch ON condition selectable in the setup of the panelbuilder software? Thanks
  10. I'll be getting a new graphics card soon, but the two cards I'm looking at--the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 TI or the AMD Radeon HD6870--both require 500 Watts of power, while my dell xps 8300 can only provide 460 watts. Will this be a major problem? I've heard that it can cause the components to overheat--do I need a gpu cooling system? Thanks,boeing247
  11. Hi I'd appreciate any ideas on what might be the fault with my GTX285 and if there is anything I can do. Please "don't get your card wet is not going to be helpful LOL!). It's a long story! But my gaming PC ended up getting pelted by rain when the wind blew a window wide open. Drops of water dripped onto the circuit board of my GTX 285 inside the PC. The PC was on when is git wet, when I discovered it it had shut down. The PC appears to be working OK with another graphics card. The part of the circuit board that got wet is right above the two 6-pin power receptacles (at the end of the card). Consider the orientation of the graphics card when installed with the back circuit board of the card facing upward; there are two 6-pin power - lets call #2 the one closest to the end and #1 beside it. I'm left with the following behaviour wihen I install my GTX 285 (and when I use a different PSU): 1) With no 6-pin power connectors attached when switched on nothing happens. 2) With 6-pin #1 only connected when the PC is switched on it sounds as if it's beginning the boot sequence but the monitor receives a blank signal (on either DVI output), graphics card fan is spinning. 3) With 6-pin #2 only connected when the PC is switched on nothing happens. 4) With both 6-pins attached nothing happens. :(((.
