Hello, I have recently updated to P3D V5.1 and I have been having weird textures on the knobs and switches in the VC of the PMDG 737 NGXU. It has a sort of light blue reflection on the metal side of the switches (Fuel pump switch for example) Is there anyone else who has the same problems and please suggest a fix for it? Thank you.

Hello! I bought Prepar3D v5 a couple of days ago and it runs perfectly fine. I installed IVAO Pilot client and IVAO MTL into SimObjects\IVAO_MTL and added a few lines into simobjects.cfg. My problem is that Prepar3D v5 now takes about 6 and a half minutes to start! I have been flying in Prepar3D v4 for years on IVAO and I never had this issue. My Prepar3D v5 is installed on a SAMSUNG 860EVO 500GB. It looks like P3D is loading all of the SimObjects everytime I start it. P3D v4 wasn't doing that. P3D v5 loads almost instantly without IVAO MTL. I think that there must be something wrong with P3D v5. I also found out that P3D v5 creates a lot of empty folders at Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\SimObjects. There are folders for every single SimObject and all of them are empty. There is no need for Prepar3D v5 to load all of the Sim Objects at startup. I also tried changing Required=True to Required=false but it didn't fix the problem. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Thank you! Hello chaps, Inspired by Viper's thread over on the org, I thought it might be fun - and perhaps enlightening - to share where and what we flew today in Prepar3d. I've personally found similar threads to be helpful for providing inspiration regarding new planes, airports and routes to try. So, show us: - What aircraft you chose. - Where your flight plan took you. - Any other relevant details you wanted to include. Cheers! Here's my submission: - Aircraft: Leonardo Maddog MD-82. My current favourite P3D v5 aircraft, smoothest jet I own. - Started in Iceland, my first fight out of MK Studios' Keflavik airport (BIKF), sunrise departure. A decent payware airport in an interesting part of the world. - After a quick spot of sightseeing (testing the new scenery), I made a 'proper' flight as per PFPX flight plan from BIKF to Gatwick (EGKK). The route took me over the Hebrides (northwest Scotland) onto the UK mainland, 1093 nautical miles in total. Technical: Prepar3d v5, with enhanced atmospherics on, Active Sky for weather, AIG for air traffic, plus Henrik's ships. Scenery: Orbx TrueEarth UK, homebrew ortho for Iceland. Flight completed in VR with VoiceAttack first officer support. So, where did your Prepar3d sim take you today, and how did you get there? 🙂

Hi, I just signed up for a 3 month FsAerodata and look at the latest installer - picture is worth thousand words. I hope F1, and all other people who are developing Prepar3d content can plan and prepare for P3Dv5 lol - Rob, get me on the prepar3d v5 beta team pretty please!!! I will buy you a beer every month (for 2019 that is) 😊 🍻😋 Have a happy new year 2019. 2019 - Year of Prepar3d v5 My guess is that there will be no 4.5 and probably around Apr-May-June 2019 time frame---- looks like we all are going straight to v5 whoohoo

Hello! I would like to let you all know that a freeware sloped runway airport was released (updated by me) a few days ago. It is from developer called ILUMIUM Simulations who made a payware addon for the whole Slovenia. Divača airport has already existed as a freeware addon. The real airport has two slightly sloped runways which was not possible in the v4 version. I fly at LJDI in RL as a flight student and I always wanted a sloped runway in P3D. When P3D v5 came out I decided to edit this airport with the new V5 SDK. Now it has two sloped runways and sloped grass taxiways. Once I finished it I contacted ILUMIUM and told them that they can publish my V5 update. Divača is a small GA airport located in Slovenia. It is one of the oldest Slovenian airport. Slovenian avitaion pioneers Rusjan brother were testing his planes at this airport. It was then used as a WWI air base. It was rarely used after the WWII. LJDI had two grass runways in the past. It became more active 20 years ago. An asphalt runway was built 10 years ago. Both runways have a slope. Now it is used by a flight school and GA planes. Cessna Citation 1 is also able to land here. Addon also includes custom 3D objects and photoreal terrain. I just wanted to tell you that there is a sloped runway addon for V5 because this is a new feature of the new sim. I didn't create the addon. I only made an update for V5 that includes sloped runways and taxiways. Is anyone else having this issue? All of my flights over, maybe 3 hrs seem to have this issue, where suddenly all AI just dissappers. And that's it, I'm alone in the skies. Unless I reload the AI by changing the time slightly. At first I thought it was the AI tools in another thread. But it has now happened twice, even without using them. I haven't found anything about this during a search. I use the AIG traffic program, and AI lights reborn, and most of my flights so far have been in the QW787. If any of that makes a difference. Thanks for any help, or suggestions. -Tony@PVD
