Hi all! I plan to fly shared cockpit (majestic dash 8) with a friend of mine and for this prupose I want to setup a profile for the Captain´s seat and one for the First officer´s seat. Is it possible to setup different profiles on one airplane in chaseplane? (You can toggle between profiles of differetent aircrafts in the preset section) So I want to have my Dash 8 and I want to have two profiles (Captain and FO) that I can apply by toggling profiles in the profile-bar of Chaseplane! Hi all, A few of you have suggested that there be a section for you to share your PTA presets, so I've created this topic to do just that. Make sure when you post you include what version of PTA your preset is compatible with, any textures you're using, your HDR settings & also perhaps include some screenshots of what it looks like. I'll eventually merge this into the PTA community part of the tool once it's ready. Thanks, Mat.

Hello! To begin with, ChasePlane is a great product. It's what I always wanted for FSX back in the day, now P3D, and I cant think of simming without it now. The fact it's still in alpha and can only get better/more stable with time is great. Good job, it can only get better :) Of course this is still in alpha so it´s not unusual to find things that don´t work well, or don´t seem to work well anyway. One problem I have right now and would like to point out. I just bought the Corsair Scimitar mouse especially to use with P3D in conjunction with ChasePlane to easily control and change views with all those sweet side buttons on the mouse. To make things work I assign key binding/key combo (making 100% sure it does not conflict with another binding in P3D, as in the key or key combination is absolutely not in use) to a certain view and register it with the "Presets" in the ChasePlane software. Then I make sure it works on the keyboard itself. Then I record that key/key combination macro to one of the buttons on the Scimitar mouse. Problem is it takes repeatedly pushing on the buttons for the views to kick in, it hardly works. I have tried many key combinations and made absolutely 100% sure that there are no conflicts, as in previous assignments in P3D have been deleted. Also, when I use the keyboard itself the views work perfectly and smoothly so the key assignment works but the executed macro on the mouse does not, or hardly. You can press the key maybe 3-10 times and then it kicks in. I know you guys are in alpha but just wanted to add a little to the conversation here on the forums. Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong or if it´s something else. Kind regards Jon Sigard -
OK...so I got all the ReShade and PTA, URP and P3D issues worked out with the help of the wonderful AVSIM forums. Been playing around with peoples presets, and I like all of them...to varying degrees...but having trouble settling in on one. So, take a look at the pics, and lmk what you like best! The presets are from either AviationLads (http://www.aviationlads.com/my-settings/), Pilot Pete (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10nPl-ydnBc), or the FlightBeam Visual Pack (http://flightbeam.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=2647). In all of the presets I have my settings the same in P3D and am getting a solid 30-50fps on the ground with PMDG aircraft at FSDT JFK, and 40-60fps in the air. I have fps locked to 65 in the nVidia inspector tool. I can share my settings if you want. FlightBeam Preset Aviation Lads Cold Season preset Pilot Pete: My thoughts are that Aviation Lads and FlightBeam are the top contenders. Pilot Pete is good but a bit bland for me, although it looks much better in his pics I think thats cause he has tons of addon scenery like ORBX, etc, and does a lot of VFR low flying. LMK what you think! Also, if any of you know the settings to reduce the brightness on the sun hitting the aircraft without turning down overall sim brightness...lmk too :) Have a great rest of the weekend! -
After restarting my computer chaseplane does not remember the keys I have set to certain presets. It always changes them (example: NUMPAD 0 to NUMPAD 7). I have to reset them every time. Another thing is that I would like to set my mouse wheel to zoom but chaseplane does not reqognize my mouse input in the control assignments. I might be missing some settings so please help and correct me if you can. Have a fun time developing and do not burn yourself, Mikael :smile: -
I thought I'd start a thread to showcase Prepar3D Tweak Assistant (PTA) - and for people to share or post info about their presets etc. This way, the main thread (http://www.avsim.com/topic/489018-prepar3d-tweak-assistant-pta/) can be kept to technical discussion. I'm not too keen on HDR effects - preferring instead to try and make my exterior views look as *realistic* as possible, so here are a few pics to kick off with: My PTA settings are fairly basic. I use a little bit of haze, but with the blue dialled back a fraction. It'd help readability if posters refrained from pasting their complete .ini files - please try to post a link instead.
