Hello, I have been searching for a good CRJ addon for P3D, and my searching has come to no avail thus far. My first question I guess is, is there a way to get the default CRJ-700 from fsx into P3D without having fsx on your PC? I know there is a CRJ in P3D, yet it is only for AI purposes I guessed after I reviewed its .cfg files. My second question is more for aerosoft than the general public, and if you have any information it would be greatly appreciated (I've been waiting for this for 6 months now, LOL). When is/is the Aerosoft CRJ-700X ever going to get released? Also, is that aircraft even going to be compatible with P3D because the description on their website is slightly vague on the subject (when I say compatible I mean with P3D V2.X), and when I asked them directly they wouldn't answer the question saying it was still in "development" which gives me a little hope. Furthermore, I understand Aerosoft and DA have made a CRJ-700/900/1000 model, yet I haven't heard the best reviews on that aircraft, in fact I haven't heard any good reviews on the aircraft so I have chosen to not get that addon. If you have the CRJ from Aerosoft/DA and you like it; please tell me. Thank you all for considering my questions. The only reason I ask such menial questions, forgive me for doing so, is because I am relatively new to P3D, I am a rather young pilot, and the fact that I do not know personally, a single person who uses P3D. sincerely, Paul Robbins.

Hi! I just switched from FSX to FS9 and I am LOVING the performance gain so far! I could barely get 10 fps in high density scenery areas in FSX, and in FS9 I am getting over 30 fps. The only thing I miss is the accuracy of the roads in FSX. In FS9 the roads can only be made out when you're above 1000 ft, and I don't believe they are accurate to the real world locations. I saw a program called Ultimate Terrain USA for FS9 advertising that the roads are in their real world locations, but the program doesn't have much publicity and most of the reviews I find are for the FSX versions. Does anyone know if the road accuracy is true and if it's worth the upgrade to UT USA? Also, how was your performance impacted? I am just able to keep above 30 fps in big aiports and anything lower than around 20 fps would be a little bit of a drawback. Any screenshots of UT USA FS9 would be GREATLY appreciated! B) If you need more information, I would be glad to add it! Thanks! OK, on vacation now so I'm barely visiting in here for the last few days, but right now I've just seen some interesting things about Prepar3D (especially Word Not Allowed's test). I was planning to buy FSX Acceleration to "pimp" my FSX, but now I'm wondering if it's not worth investing in a dead product now, and instead buying Prepar3D. I'm considering Prepar3D a lot more now, but I've got some questions before I can seriously consider it. Here they are: 1. I'm eyeing the academic version of Prepar3D. I've seen the watermark in screenshots, but would you say you forget about it in a while? I'm a bit worried about it, because I don't think I'm a person that would do so. 2. Is the free flight screen really gone and now it's like X-Plane where you just customise the default flight? Is that planned to return sometime? 3. Can you port over the default aircraft from FSX that's missing from Prepar3D? Maybe the FS2004 aircraft too? Just the default ones, no add-ons in here. 4. Since Prepar3D is fully SM3.0 now (isn't it?), this means that clouds will run well on AMD cards, right? 5. Does Prepar3D have the FSX missions or new ones? 6. Does Prepar3D have multiplayer? If yes, does it use anything like the GameSpy client? 7. Is light bloom performance improved?

Let me just say I love this product - it's great, brings added realisim, and makes flying the Level-D much easier, especially on VATSIM when ATC is vectoring me and I don't have to fiddle with those knobs. However, I do have an issue. In the manual it says running pre-flight events is optional, so I skip that as I follow my own checklists and usually start at the before engine start procedure.Part of my checklists is to fully program the FMC, which apparently FS2Crew doesn't like. Any time I start it, it always clears out the weights and V-speed pages. Is there a way around this?Is there also a transcript of everything that the F/O can say? I'm hearing impaired so it would help me to learn all of the responses from the F/O.

Okay, I know I misspelled "missteak" but wanted to get your attention and apologize for something else. I and some of the other moderators have been moderating the Ask Dovetail Games about DTG Flight School & Flight Simulator topic. We hid the posts we thought were not asking a question and thus off-topic. We received a lot of complaints about the topic going off-topic with rants and other observations about the new products. So, this morning I decided to move all of those hidden posts to a new topic entitled "Some off-topic posts from the Ask DTG Topic" or something like that. There were 291 posts. I planned on bringing all those posts back to life once the hidden posts were moved to the new topic. The system told me I did good and should get a gold medal for excellence (well, something like that) but, when I looked for the new topic, it was not there. Did a refresh of the site and still not there. Went backwards and found the page where I clicked "split the selected posts" and tried it again but still the same thing. Nothing... I ended up doing a search (our search system works great again!) and found the topic title but no posts inside the topic. Evidently the system ate them, all 291 posts. So I apologize for the error. I have learned though that you cannot move hidden posts or topics. They go into oblivion. In any case, the Ask DTG topic is down from 40 pages to just 20 pages now and consists of mainly questions and answers which should make going through that topic a bit easier. Perhaps someday I'll find those posts and bring them back to life but it does not look good as I have done some pretty extensive research already. Still there's always that hope. If you have observations (just observations) about the new DTG product(s), please post them in separate topics. You can even copy the quote from DTG Martin and place it into a new topic and make your comments. But, let's try to keep the questions and answers in just one place to make it a bit easier for our members to read the topic. Best regards,

Startup... System initiating... System started. Signing in... Signed in. Please type your commands in the space below. Hi there, fellow flightsimmers! Or is it flight-simmers? Oh well, doesn't really matter as I'm sure you understand what I'm saying! New member here who just wants to introduce myself and ask a question! Ready? Here goes! As I said, I'm a new member here at AVSIM and I'd just like to introduce myself. Name's Daniel but you can call me Imrahil as well (the username was taken from The Lord of the Rings). I'm an 18-year old guy from Sweden with a love for flight simulation. I've always loved flying... at least for as long as I can remember. I've flown exactly 38 times in my life and been to 22 countries so far. Best parts are of course Take-off, descent and landing but even just being up in the air is a thrill for me. I've been flying in FSX for... I think it's 7 years now. Got the simulator as a birthday present when I turned 11 and I've been in love with it ever since. At first, I wasn't really playing seriously. Didn't understand much of it as I were pretty bad at speaking, writing or understanding english (more so than most other swedish 11-year olds but when I began attending 6th grade, I somehow fell in love with the language and now I LOVE it). It was when I began understanding the instructions that I got more serious but it wasn't until two or three years ago that I got REALLY serious about it. Now I ALMOST exclusively try to be as accurate when playing as possible with the knowledge I have. The commercial aircraft that I fly the most is probably either the Project Airbus A380-800 or the Project Open Sky Boeing B777-300ER. When it comes to military aircrafts, it's by far Dino Cattaneo's F-14D Super Tomcat but I also enjoy the recently released version of the IRIS A-10 Thunderbolt II, the VRS Superbug F/A-18E Super Hornet and the F-35 (also by Dino Cattaneo). Do you know what all the military aircraft I mentioned have in common? They're all VRS TacPack-compatible in FSX which is an add-on I really enjoy using. Anyway, FSX isn't the only Flightsim I use. I also use, although very rarely, X-Plane 10 and I'm considering getting my hands on the new PREPAR3D V2 by Lockheed Martin. Lets move on: Now, I have a single questi... System has crashed. Please reboot. System shutting down... System rebooting... System initiating System has been successfully rebooted. Signing in... Signed in. Please type your commands in the space below. God, I hate it when it does that! Now where was I? Right! I was going to ask a question! It's a fairly simple one that I'm sure you'll be able to answer. Here it is: If I was going to post a question about searching for people who'd like to fly with me in MP in FSX, where would I post this? In the MP-section of the forums? Or do I need to have an event PLANNED (I don't want to plan anything before I know if someone is interested) already? Would be grateful for some help here! I think that's all I wanted to say and ask! Thank you for reading this and if you have some kind of question about me or something I said, feel free to send me a message! This is Daniel AKA Imrahil, signing out. Signing out... Signed out. System closing programs... System shutting down... System has been shut down.
