Hi guys, I'm new to this forum, so allow me to introduce myself - I'm Mike, and am a CRP for an Asian carrier who flies the triple seven. Love the triple you guys have made! I used it for my initial training and still use it often to keep myself current between flights. Anyway, I just wanted to confirm with everyone- is anyone able to change the origin field of RTE2 while in the air with the latest update of the B777? I recall I used to be able to do this on the previous version. Best regards, Mike

I was wondering how do I divert to an ALTN airport in this scenario: If i miss the approach at my destination more then 3 times due to severe weather and I want to divert. After I miss the approach, does the ATC assign me a sid? After he assigns me the sid, I fly my route, and Im assigned a star and I land at my ALTN. BUT.... In the provided tutorial: http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/73486-pfpx-etops-pmdg777-part-2-flightdeck/ (download it to see it) They type their route for ALTN in route 2 page but they type it in without a sid? And when you divert to an ALTN, for origin and destination airport you need to write your airport you failed to land at and your altn, but when they type in the normal origin and destination in the tutorial (egll and kbos) with the altn rte 2, you have to actually retype the route in if you want to divert to an ALTN because it automatically deletes everything if you write KBOS then KFJK(the altn). Whats the process of the route 2 page?

Hi, everyone, Today I had a rather perplexing event. I was in cruise, Route 1 active, everything OK. Then I modified a STAR and runway with transition. In the course of doing so, I realized that I had somehow selected Direct to a waypoint in the STAR, thus wiping out the intervening enroute waypoints. To solve this problem, I loaded the entire route in Route 2 from disk, moved the next waypoint aheadof my position up to be the active waypoint (rather than the first waypoint going back to the beginning of the flight), and activated Route 2. The aircraft followed the route OK in LNAV, but would not engage in VNAV. No altitudes were showing on the FMC legs page for subsequent legs except for restrictions included in the STAR (although my current Perf entry and I believe VNAV cruise entry had the correct altitude, FL350, after two auto step-climbs). The progress page did not show any predicted arrival time or expected remaining fuel. Active Sky Next, latest beta, was active, and I loaded current wind information, but it made no difference. (I did have a problem later with ASN, but I don't see how it's related to this one). I also entered the current FL either in the active waypoint or the following one, but the altitudes did not propagate down the list of waypoints. To solve this problem, I went back to Route 1, re-entered the remaining enroute waypoints, activated the route, and lo and behold, altitude information and predicted times returned, Progress display returned to normal. Did I do something wrong or is this a bug? Thanks, Mike
