Hi all, For those who like flying approaches into low IFR weather for the fun of breaking out of cloud and trying to land in blowing snow with strong winds; keep an eye on the east coast of canada. Environment canada has issued a winter storm watch for St. John's and vicinity. CYYT is the airport ident. more info here. YYT webcam here. YYT charts here. Hope to see some of you there tomorrow night! pd:test those wx engines and our skills.

Evening all! Decided to hop back into the flight deck of the 738, I'd missed her quite a bit during my adventures with the 77W. Naturally, I took tons of screenies on this flight, and lucky for me, the weather decided to play along and became quite dramatic near Vienna.. Enjoy! -- Didn't get my signature "at the gate" picture, because the jet ways at LTBA hooked up to the aircraft all weird. Still, got this nice picture of the wing, as the jet-way disconnects and we prepare to push back.. Pushing back, starting up the right engine.. She needs a bit of a wash, but hey, she's still looking pretty! Bye-bye, LTBA! Lovely looking roofs! :-P Planning our arrival into LOWW! Here we've got the NATE1W arrival coupled with the PES4N transition, onto RW34.. We're seeing some snowy scenery, my first time this year flying into snow... Heavy cloud cover, performance remained perfect, which was surprising to me. Looks like we're diving into this, temps are still in the negative, so all the anti-ices go on! 10 miles out, gear is down, speed comes down to Vapp + 10, and start preparing to put her down. Breaking out from under the clouds at around 1450ft AGL. Edge of the runway just about visible.. Down we are! No pictures of the actual landing, turned the A/P off and it was extremely turbulent and gusty. Needed extreme concentration At the gate! -- Well, I hope you enjoyed those pictures.. As always, none of them are edited. Addons used: PMDG 737NGX REX4 ASN Taxi2Gate LTBA FlyTampa LOWW Mogwaisoft Shade FTX Global

Did you by any chance tried flying in snow conditions in your brand new shiny P3D v4 ? Didn't ? Well don't do it. Don't do it without extra bag of tissues. To wipe away your tears ...tears of joy. And it's nothing like this. My poor poor attempt to present you this new (feel like "updated" is huge understatement) effect. You should see it in the action. All those God's little creations ...floating around ...graciously, weightlessly. Rain look amazing, too. Now there's finally a reason for me to fly in bad conditions. Serving tip: freeze user position, slow down simulation time acceleration, kick off your shoes, grab a glass (bottle is fine too) of some nice wine, find some meaningless simple yet effective reason for fast divorse, just lean back and enjoy! You deserve it after all. What, you're still here ? That was a hint, for snow particle sake, go see it. Like right now. edit: Eat this XP11 !

I am experimenting a new arctic snow with snow/ice covered trees in remote part of Canada. What do you guys think? I will add this area to the winter season mod coming this weekend. Check the other pictures for other areas of winter season in case you missed it in my other post.

This addon inserts two new weather themes in Microsoft Flight: Light Snow It has been snowing all day, but flying should be safe as long as you stay out of the clouds. Heavy Snow A heavy snowstorm makes flying at low altitudes a real challenge. Don't forget to set your altimeter to 28.99 inHg.
