Hello everybody, I decided to give FSX a try again because of the pmdg 777, DX10 fixer, REX and all the other high quality addons. Also got a Nvidia 680 so i can use the inspector now! So I did a clean install with acceleration. I then followed the guide found on Avsim. Added a couple tweaks, set up nvidia inspector, and did the DX10 fix. My FPS is amazing, BUT there is yet again another problem with FSX! There are black squares everywhere over my scenery! I think this has to do with DX10, but ill post the screens below and let you have a look. Thanks!

Hello again.. So I've now got another problem with P3D, a few days ago when I looked for an outside view when I was in cruise flying, instead of having normal contrails I had these weird black squares as P3D couldn't find any textures for the contrails, I've read some other posts about this and thought it might be because I was missing some files in my effects folder, so I checked for the smoke fx and they were all there.. I even got to the point where I installed FSX again and tried to copy the files from there though without any luck. I've just tried to repair my P3D still with no luck, i'm really clueless right now about what to do, but I can still fly with it, it is just really annoying. This also happens if I get a fire on my engines or as I said when I have contrails. I thought it had something to do with fsfx preciptfx but it didn't (I have fsfx preciptfx all the immersion packs for the 777, a320 737 ngx. I don't remember uninstalling any addon that were designed for FSX the last couple of days, although I may perhaps forgot something. Best regards Morten Thanks

some aircraft models would show black squares of smoke momentarily on touchdown which rapidly disappears, then the white smokes appear as normal (as shown below) this doesn't happen when I turn off DX10, but also doesn't happen on all aircraft models although DX10 was enabled

Hello guys, Hoping some can maybe offer some advice on guidance on an issue I've spent the last couple of weeks trying to resolve/improve but have unfortunately had no look. I'm trying to solve the problem of autogen, particularly buildings, loading/popping up in 'patches' or squares, which is really obvious and detracts a lot of realism from the simming experience for me. Rather than it loading up subtly, it loads up in horrible blocks/chunks. I've tried numerous settings, including a whole variety of Fiber_Frame_Time_Fraction=xx values, as well as tweaks such as TextureMaxLoad=30 and adding an afffinity mask, but haven't been able to get this problem to improve. I'm hoping somebody can offer some insight on anything I am possibly doing wrong? The sim apart from this runs great, performance is good etc, just this little niggling issue I would love to fix. In terms of In - sim settings, I have LOD at Max (Although I believe this has been limited anyway in P3D 2.5 to help combat the VAS issue, I am wondering if this is possibly causing the Autogen loading up like this due to the LOD restriction?)
