Love p3dv4, but one thing thats annoying is the big stars. When I look up, it looks so unrealistic. Is there any good texture replacements that you know of, to make them smaller and much denser? I looked at this one: Chris Bell Creative Design Studios - Stargazer Project. Anyone with experience with this product?

I have had the 777 installed in my Boxed version of FSX for a while. I recently switched to FSX Steam edition. I uninstalled the 777 and the expansion and reinstalled using the new installers in both the Boxed version as well as the Steam Edition. Trouble is that when Ioad a flight up in the steam edition I have no SIIDs or STARs listed for any airport. I have updated the AIRACs to make sure that was not the issue. The FMS shows that I have the lates AIRAC cycle loaded but no airport has SIDs or STARs. I have tried at KORD, ZSPD and EBBR. So far. Anyone had this problem?

Hi there, Was just wondering if someone could please help with this following problem: So i have set up Vox Atc to use the level-d navdata and this is working well because in the procedure pronunciation editor the sids and stars are displayed for the airport that I'm trying to fly from. I have made sure that the corresponding waypoints for the sid and star are in my flight plan but when I load up my flight and enable Vox Atc the departure clearance only includes the flight level I have to fly to and the squawk code. When I taxi out to the runway the controller just clears me to fly direct to my first waypoint. This is very annoying as I fly for a virtual airline and want to everything as realistically as possible and to do this I will need sids and stars in my flight plan. I have tried everything and also have contacted Vox Atc support but have gotten no response. I hope to hear from anyone who could offer some help. Many thanks in advance, Robbie.

Hello, when i was planning my flight in FSX (in airbus a320 MCDU) the following question has occured: DO REAL PILOTS GUESS THE RUNWAY THAT THEY WILL LAND ACCORDING TO THE WEATHER IN THEIR DESTINATION? or they just entry the flight plan with only the SIDs for the departure,no STARs and they wait to get close to the dastination and the ATC guide them through for the landing? If they actually use the plan with STARs and the ATC change the runway they planned, can they change the plan while in-flight?

Has the airport database been updated to include SIDs / STARSs with the aircraft now defaulting to P3DGPS.cab ? Ref - http://forum.avsim.net/topic/353707-level-of-gps-simulation-in-prepar3d/?hl=%2Bgps+%2Bsid+%2Bstars#entry2211459

Does anyone know of a way to really lower the brightness of stars at night? I'm using Autostar X and there is a way in the Tools option to lower brightness but in FSX that does not really show, especially if you zoom out in any of the views, the stars become brighter and brighter. I'm guessing that this has something to do with mipmapping each pixel? However I'm not sure. How are the individual pixels of the stars in FSX generated? I came across the fx_Dots.bmp and fx_WhiteDot in the FSX Effects folder and thought that these files may be related to the star pixels. I just want to be able to edit the stars to make them appear fainter in the night sky, without however reducing the actual number of stars.

Hello Guys As the title says, I can't see the starts when looking for example to the right when inside the cockpit. Then I look to the left and the stars appears again. It happens the same some times with the arrows of the taxi route when on the ground. I'm using SweetFSX. I thought it worth to mention. Did anyone encounter this little issue? Thanks!!
