  1. The Battery Switches shown on the "Lateral Switches" panel will not operate via a keyboard shortcut or externally assigned switch. They will only function when clicked by the mouse. The FSUIPC Console window shows multiple instances of the command sent with random parameters attached when the switch or assigned key is operated. When clicked on by the mouse it shows only the one instance. A keyboard shortcut or externally assigned switch works fine on the Phenom 100.
  2. I need help. I'm experiencing very strange engine startup problems. Here is what happens. I recently bought & installed the 737 PMDG and made a couple succesful flights (well, in terms of properly working software :) and starting the engines never caused a problem following the correct procedures. Then a couple of days ago after preparing the plane, programming the FMC, etc, the engines seemed to start but when i increased thrust nothing happened, so i increased thrust even more, still nothing only an alarm went off. I checked the engine display which showed normal values of 20.7% N1, 415 EGT, 61% N2 and 0.65 FF. I shut the engines down and tried a restart. Restarting showed again proper engine values but no increase in thrust whatsoever, also when increasing thrust N1 doesnt move at all, although the thrust levers in the VC do move! Also an alarm in the cockpit goes off when increasing thrust even more. I've tested with other planes and the thrust lever of my joystick does work. The problem i have can also be heard. When outside of the plane you can hear the engines spooling up but when i move the camera behind the engines no jetblast is heard and they become a little bit more quiet after auto cut-off, like they are spinning without fuel. Also in the cockpit you hear all the engine sounds except the last part of "up and running". I've tried every startup checklist i could find on internet, most recent the one from Tom Risager but without any result. I even did a fresh install of the plane and the first flight the engines started as they should but now again they wont anymore. I dont know what to do anymore and i couldnt find any answer on the internet. Does anybody have any idea what is wrong?

Press TO/GA don’t use the MCP A/T button, it takes half a second or so to "capture 3. If TO/GA is not selected prior to 50 knots, AT operation will be inhibited until 400 feet. In this case, the throttles will only move manually until that point 4. Wait until you see THR REF annunciated on the FMA 5. Push the Throttles fully forward. They are dead now because the AT is active THINGS THE WIDE BETA TEAM WANTED YOU TO KNOW At high gross weights – particularly those at “hot and high” airports – be prepared for underwhelming performance. Take off rolls will be much longer, and the climb rate will be sluggish, particularly at acceleration altitude when retracting the flaps. When planning, normal remaining fuel values are much higher than you are used to. A good minimum is at least 30,000 pounds. If TO/GA is not selected prior to 50 knots, AT operation will be inhibited until 400 feet. In this case, the throttles will only move manually until that point. When soft disconnecting the AT, the disconnect switches need to be clicked twice with a 1-2 second pause in between to avoid the auto throttle disconnect EICAS message and associated caution. The APU will run while airborne, but it will not start unless the aircraft is on the ground. There is enough redundancy on the aircraft that its use while airborne is not required. Unlike the 777, the transfer of power between the engine generators and the APU is manual. Remember to reach up and transfer the power source from the engines to the APU prior to cutting fuel to the engines. Pilots of the NGX will likely be less prone to forgetting this step. Don't forget to press the MIC button on the ACP panel (below the radios panel) corresponding to the radio you want to transmit on or no-one will hear you online. Yes, it’s modeled that closely! There are certain calculations that you perform through the CDU that take a surprising amount of time to complete. A good example is the required trim setting generated by entering the %MAC. Keep in mind that the processing power in this FMC is equivalent to the old Intel 8086 processor. The FMC has been purposefully designed to have the same response times as the real FMC. GSX will interfere with the PMDG Ground Service vehicles. If you use GSX for parking, be sure to restart couatl before selecting service vehicles. When taxiing, keep speeds in turns at 12 knots or less to ensure that the body gear steering is active to assist the turn. Have a good flight and always a also always good landing Manfred Maier
  4. Hi, I am learning to start from cold and dark startup and i'm doing pretty well. However, I get to the part to start up the APU but nothing happens. I have seen where once you have enabled the start the APU switch will automatically turn to ON. In my case, I turn the knob to start and it just sits there and nothing happens. No matter how long I wait, the APU generator switches never light up to "available". Hopefully you can help me with this frustrating problem. It could be user error, but then again I might not have added everything when I first downloaded the PMDG 747-400. Any help is appreciated. Jared
  5. Hi! I am having problems starting the Nemeth Designs/MilViz Ch-47 Chinook . I have read through the manual to find out how to start this bird but it never seems to happen :( . The engines *DO* start-up but there is no rotation from the blades what-so-ever (Even with the ECL in GND Mode). Could someone please explain to me how to start-up this helicopter or any kind of tutorial would be appreciated! Kriss :t4012:
  6. Hello I've got the problem where fsx will start up and freeze on the splash screen. Weirdly i get the music running but nothing happens it eventually ends up not responding. I've done the usual fixes i.e. delete the logbook, delete cfg file etc. My specs: Intel Core i5 4960K 8gb RAM GTX970. fsx deluxe I've made no change to my pc recently. Played fsx last night. As soon as i'd finished and it was all closed off shut the pc down. Came to my pc today. First thing i did was load up fsx and got this error. Cheers Nick
  7. Hello! I need help on how to start MCE in fsx.... I dont know how, and I have read the guide, and it doesnt help me... someone please help! I really want to use this product! (Btw, I have the aerosoft airbus X extended, if that could help with anything) Thanks
  8. Hi all, I am just wondering what systems activate when you first enable ground power from a cold 'n dark cockpit? There seems to be a lot of noise in the cockpit with the engines, APU, packs/fans, pumps etc all turned off... Just curious is all. Is it really like this in the real 737? Would love to know. Thanks
  9. friends, how I can assign the ENGINE START LEVERS with FSUIPC. I want to use my command CH PRODC and I have several buttons available. What command can i use for this. Como puedo asignar con el FSUIPC, los engine start levers. Tks in advice. Fher.
  10. Is there a way of getting Vox ATC to launch automatically instead of having to start it from the panels? (Very annoying if your aircraft has more than 9 panels!) Especially interested if you can set up simstarter as an option to lauch voxatc automatically or not launch it! (You might want to do some FSX gliding so start your engine and taxying is tricky!) Rob
  11. Having FSX issues ever since I made the switch to Windows 10. Tried deleting my current CFG., no difference. I have the UIautomation core so that crash isn't the issue. Can't seem to figure out this problem but defiantly the fault of Windows 10. Really frustrating can't access FSrecorder due to this. It has no loading status bar and I cannot use the tool bar on circumstances without a black screen. Could really use some help.
  12. So recently i downloaded some aircraft that require you to start the engines. I find this extremely annoying. Is there something i could change, maybe a code, that will make the engines startup on loading? Arjun

  14. Just purchased the Flysimware Learjet 35A, Version 1.8, from FSPilotShop (exactly one day before their sale!!!), and am initially impressed with the quality of the graphics, cockpit sounds, clicks, bells and whistles. However, I am unable to start the blasted thing! Following the checklist for a cold and dark start is a no-op - while everything clicks on, the start sequence is non-operational. Even doing a CTRL+E start fails - the turbine spools up to 18.1 on the left engine only, and then shuts off to slowly return to zero. It does not even try to start the right engine. I am running P3D V3, which is a supported platform. Any ideas? I checked the Flysimware site and there are no references to starting problems.
  15. Hi guys, This evening I tried to start up FSX Acceleration: I got the 'beginning screen', the music starts but then it automatically shuts down. It doesn't give an error or something: It just shuts down. Yesterday I just played FSX without having any problems, is there a way to fix this problem without installing it again? Coz' then I'm afraid I'll lose GSX and PMDG (downloaded). Thank you very much.
  16. Hi everyone, I was using AFG's YS-11 over at a friend's house, but we couldn't get the engines up without slewing into the air, and back to the ground. Theoretically, it's fully FSX compatible, but after trying exactly what the manual said, we couldn't get an engine up. Then we tried different combinations of the fuel levers, feathered/not feathered, throttle position, and other things. One thing I noticed however, was that in the air, the engines would start; I purposely killed them, and then followed the procedures, and they started. I wouldn't think being in the air would make a difference. Any tips? Thanks,
  17. Could someone tell me how to load the 737 NGX in cold and dark? I made a save of it in this state and made it default but the "initialising" green bar thing starts up the plane anyway. I found out that you can load the plane through the "addons" tab however I have never had this tab and cannot seem to make it appear. Any help much apprieciated!!!

  19. Hello! I just got the PDMG 737NGX and tested it. But everything was on. Can you start the flight with everything shut off? ^_^
  20. Hello all, Similar to the NGX (up until the most recent patch), I'm experiencing an odd EGT behavior during engine start. Just as the start cycle is ending: starter switch clicks off, red EGT line disappears, and EGT is stabilizing, the EGT will jump up approximately 60 degrees instantaneously. This is regardless of engine. For instance, after initial EGT rise, EGT spools back to 390 in an example, then pops right up to approximately 450 and remains there. Anyone have any insight to this? Thanks!
